Frame and Flower Thank You...Cure for the Monday Blues

Hi all....super quick post. My brother and sister-in-law are picking up my mom and I; we're heading to a  birthday party for one of my niece and nephew daycare friends.  Little kids' birthday party...woo hoooo.  After that, time to head back home.  Why do weekends with my family pass in a flash!

My card is for Cure for the Monday Blues #5...love the frames, the flowers, the blues/reds/greys...

with sketch inspiration from Laura, over at The Paper Poppy

 A simple thank you...with a flower I haven't used for quite a long time.

Taheerah: awesome photo inspiration; Laura, awesome sketch inspiration! Thank you, thank you!!!

Thanks so much for dropping by; your visit and comments make my day!

Sa-weet colors!!! Perfectly layered elements. Love the flower cluster - especially with the pretty shiny enamel dot in the center. I've got a couple of questions cuz I just have to know...did you using pinking sheers on the banner ends or is it part of the die? And...is the pretty scalloped edge part of the rectangle die or did you slice & dice the elements together? Whatever your technique - it looks GREAT!!!

Yay, you played again!! I'm so happy to see that!! This is a gorgeous card - love that patterned paper in the background (looks almost ikat-like, and I *love* ikat!), and the flower is just awesome!! Perfect composition with all your elements too! Thanks so much for playing to find a Cure For The Monday Blues!

Just how did you manage to come up with this piece of loveliness amidst time spent with those sweet kiddos, travel time, more family visits and a birthday party?! Yup, you are amazing! The layered, stitched blooms are so much fun and sweetly accented with the bling! Love the funky edges you created too, on your banner and on the frame! And the patterned paper provides a cool artsy look that just brings all the details harmoniously together! Hope you had a ton of fun this weekend, even though the visit passed by way too quickly. It is so true: time flies when you are having fun! Safe travels home!!!

I think you could have just said why do weekends pass by in a flash...as they do. Here I am with Monday already done and dusted too. lol It is wonderful you have so much fun with your family and I am glad you get to see them again now. :)

Loving your card here too. The pretty pink and purple colours are just darling. I'm loving the flower too - just pops. Another great card! :)

A perfect combination of the inspiration and the sketch - you are a card making genius, that can be the only explanation!! ;) These colours are beautiful and I love that the flower looks like it's 'escaping' from the frame - 'let me out!!' He he!

I'm glad you had a fun filled weekend with the family ;)
