Just Us Girls Challenge #613~Word Week - Beverage...Merry Christmas Latte

Hello,

Happy New Year!

We're ringing in  2022 with some exciting news! First, two new designers are joining the team - Lisa Elton and Carol McFarland. Both are talent extraordinaire, so be ready for yet more WOW inspiration to come. Welcome aboard, Lisa and Carol.

Second, we're delighted to have Stef Perry and Chrissie Stokes as our January guest designers; a duo sure to light your creativity!

Introductions done...let's get to the play part. Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #613, where our lovely hostess, Nancy, has selected beverage as this week's inspiration.

Making a debut is my new Latte cover plate die from My Creative Time. The latte mug is part of the card base in this mini slimline style version. It's wonderfully versatile, however, in that it fits onto A2 card bases and can also be cut, along the score line, to be positioned on top of a panel. I LOVE this! Such a cool concept, indeed. I used the Halloween version here...and there just might be another similar styled plate in my stash, too!

Looking forward to seeing a gallery filled with a wonderful assortment of beverages!

Thank you for dropping by!

Inkspirational Challenge #255~Word Prompt - Ice...Polar Playtime...Polar Bear and Penguins

Hello

Before introducing our new challenge, wishing you a most Merry Christmas ! May your festive season be filled with JOY

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #255, where ICE is the inspiration for the next two weeks. Plenty of possibilities with this cue...from ice cubes, to skating, to ice floes, to icicles to whatever catches your fancy. 'Tis, after all, freezin' season (at least here it is!)

Full on patterned paper and die-cutting mode for me, which seems to be my card-making/crafting style of late. Craft Consortium's Polar Playtime collection is filled with the most adorable polar bears, penguins and fish enjoying themselves in wintry wonderlands. Two cards using these cuties...

First, a 4" circle card, complete with matching envelope. The "happy mail' die sentiment, stamp and heart are part of the envelope die collection. I just want to give the snoozing polar bear a big ol' cuddle!

The penguin sitting on ice cubes...couldn't resist! This is from the 6x6 pack, so a bit smaller than the bear, above. Die cut, matted it with a patterned paper from the 12 x 12 collection, and added the combination to the skating/skiing penguins background paper.

Both cards, inside, read "Wishing you an 'ice' day!"

Please check out my teammates' delightful creations, then play along with us!

STAMPlorations CUTplorations Creative Cuts...Playing Christmas Tags (5 Sets)

Hello,

Welcome to my second instalment of projects featuring STAMPlorations CUTplorations Creative Cuts. As you know, Shery has a plethora of thin, cut-like-butter dies in her shop. Words, phrases, tags/frames, images, cutting plates...possibilities galore. If you enjoying playing with dies as much as I do (and I DO!), please be sure to check them out!

With Christmas but days away, I decided to focus this series on tags, which I LOVE to make! They're simple ways to add a pretty, personal touch to an assortment of gifts, from those store-bought, to those home-made, to stocking-stuffers, to...whatever you decide needs a bit of festive flair.

This is a photo-heavy post, so I hope you're ready for some tag-a-licious fun!

Set 1
: I paired this trio of tags with small mason jars filled with a package of hot chocolate, marshmallows and chocolate balls. The tags have small magnets on the back that attach them to the jar lids and, afterwards, can be mounted on the fridge or another magnetic surface. I think these would make festive table decor for Christmas morning. The adorable Christmas Mug Cuties ephemera makes tag making a breeze!

Tag 3
A third one, solo, so you can see how adorable these images are!

Set 2: How fun is this new collection of ephemera: Trucks of Cheer! Pair them with kraft cardstock to enhance their rustic charm; perfect tags for sweet treats, gifts-for-the guys or anyone who loves country life.

Set 3: Several of the CUTplorations word dies - I've used only three here - can be used as tags in and of themselves. No need to add tag bases; rather, die-cut the words, adding extra layers for sturdiness, and attach them to a bag/package/stocking stuffers for an extra festive touch. Put small strips of magnets on the back and they serve double-duty as bits of decor for your fridge.

Set 4: This fourth trio features iconic Christmas die-cuts transformed into tags, similar to the word dies above. Accent pieces to add some pizzazz to a package and a great way to use up scraps of patterned paper.  Add magnetic strips to extend the tag joy.

If you've made it this far, THANK YOU!

Bonus share:
Set 5: Advent Tags Calendar (details here)

Creating this Advent Tags Calendar had me smiling alllll over my face!

Hopefully, I've offered inspiration for designing small works-of-art with your CUPlorations dies and assorted STAMPlorations products!

Merry Christmas!

Perfectly CAS December 2021 Challenge #22~Sea and/or Sky...Snowflake Holidays Sparkle and Shine

Hello,

Welcome to Perfectly CAS December 2021 Challenge #22, where our theme this month is SEA and/or SKY.

Going with a snowflakes and snow theme with my card, as those are definitely falling from the sky here in Alberta, of late. Echo Park's Winter collection is so pretty; I've used a strip of snowy paper on my narrow panel, then a scattering of die-cut snowflakes from MCT. A sparkly blue dot finishes it off.

Please be sure to pop by my teammates' blogs, leave them some love, then bring your Perfectly CAS SEA and/or SKY creations to the gallery.
  • A friendly reminder: For this challenge, we're asking you to use one-third (aka: the rule of thirds) or less on your card designs, leaving plenty of scrumptious white space (two-thirds of your panel) to draw our eyes to to your focal image. Kylie has included an easy-to-follow explanation on the challenge blog here.

Inkspirational Challenge #254~Photo Challenge...Two-in-One Gift Boxes...Falalalala and Merry Christmas

Hello,

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #254,where we have this lovely, cozy, I-want-those-pjs-and-slippers photo as inspiration. Oh...and the hot chocolate...the pillow...the works!!

As you see, I was inspired by the gifts, the hot chocolate with marshmallows, the wreaths, the bough/sprig patterns on the pjs...plenty features caught my eye. Recently, I ordered the Two-In-One Box from EH and, after some fiddling around (a bit of a learning curve to put these together), I wound up with two gift boxes. Papers are from Echo Park's Winter collection; so pretty. I'm not skilled with tying bows, wrapping with strings/ribbon, so forgive my 'messy' attempts. Still...the concept of the boxes is fun...more to be created soon!

Please check out my teammates' delightful creations, then play along with us!

HLS December 2021 Anything Goes with Dies Challenge~Advent Calendar Tags (Version 2)

Hello,

I made another Advent Tags Calendar, this time using Pretty Pink Post tags, along with numbers and Christmas ephemera from STAMPlorations! These images are so cute! The sentiments come from a variety of sources: STAMPlorations, Paper Smooches, Jillian Vance Design, Happy Little Stampers, Your Next Stamp and a couple others. This calendar took less time to make than my previous one here, but the JOY in doing so was the same: super high!

(apologies for wonky photo sizing...)
That's it from me! Check out what my talented teammates have created, then bring out
your dies and join us in the gallery!

Thank you for dropping by!

Ellen Hutson 12 Tags of Christmas 2021...Days 1 - 6

Hello,

Playing tag with the wonderful, talented designers from Ellen Hutson for the 12 Tags of Christmas 2021 event . I LOVE tags!

Inspired by Day 2: Puppy for Hanukkah. I transformed Donny Dog, from the Missees Pet Collection, into a white and black version of Lily, my miniature schnauzer! I love her!!

Inspired by Day 4: Let it Snow

Edited to add: I've been asked the source of the background paper for this tag and to be honest, I have no idea! Purchased YEARS ago as a package of single 6 x 6 sheets. I'll see if I can find it...
