AAA Card Challenge #317 - Sketch Challenge - Painted Blooms Celebrate (Concord and 9th)

Hello,

Welcome to AAA Cards Challenge #317 where we invite you to play along with our Sketch challenge displayed in the photo below. You're not required to use 'firework' style images; rather, work with something you feel captures the placement and/or conveys the 'motion' of the sketch.

I translated the sketch into some pretty stenciled flowers from Concord and 9th; one of my favourites in my collection.

Please visit the main blog to see my teammates' fabulous takes on the sketch.
Looking forward to seeing how it inspires you.

A reminder that we're looking for Clean and Simple designs; you can find the description of what that means here

Inkspirational Challenge #370 - Word Prompt - Leftovers - School Themed ATCs

Hello,

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #370 where our Word Prompt for the next two weeks is LEFTOVERS. This challenge invites you to rescue scrappy bits and odds-and-ends - paper, ephemera, embellishments, etc. -  from previous projects and repurpose them so they become the stars of a brand-new card/project. Show us how your creativity can turn "leftovers" into something extraordinary

I'm somewhat 'over zealous' with keeping scrappy bits in my stash but hey, those little snippets of paper, bits of ephemera and cute little embellishments may come in handy some day, right?

Today, I'm sharing a set of 6 ATCs I created for a swap where the theme for June is: School. The teeny-tiniest pieces of red, yellow and blue cardstock worked a charm for my 'blackboard letters'.  Extra red and green scraps transformed into wee apples; white bits became little stars and sentiment backgrounds.  Hopefully my swap friends will enjoy my handiwork with papers that were 'this close' to being tossed.

Please visit the main blog to see wonderful inspiration from my talented teammates.
Looking forward to seeing your leftovers transformed into something fabulous!

Just Us Girls Challenge #828 - MOODBOARD - Just for You (AALL and Create, Sunroom Drift)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #828, where Denise has selected a lovely floral moodboard as inspiration this week. Such a beautiful burst of colour!

Once again, we're delighted to have Kellianne joining us as our June Guest Designer.

The flowers and the fashion in which they were displaced - squares and rectangles - caught my eye, so I replicated this in my card. One sheet of pretty paper from AALL & Create's Sunroom Drift.
I'm fortunate to have a wonderful collection of pretty papers and ephemera in my stash; I'll display them whenever I can!

Please visit the main blog to see fabulous inspiration from our guest and my talented team.
Looking forward to seeing your fabulous florals filling the gallery.

Color Hues Challenge #135 - Yellow and Black - A Note from Me to You (Better Press Society Teardrop Mosaic)

Hello,

Welcome to Colour Hues Challenge #135 where, as hostess, I'm inviting you to play with hues of YELLOW and BLACK. Think sunflowers, bees, butterflies, bold geometric patterns, stylized florals - and that's just a snippet of the countless ways to show this bold, dramatic combination.  We're excited to see where your creativity takes you!

We're pleased to welcome Barbara Campbell and Diana Karlova as our Guest Designers for this challenge.

I'm slowly making my way through my Spellbinders' Better Press Society plates; for this challenge, the Teardrop Mosaic makes its debut. I glimmered the 'frame' plate with gold and the yellow teardrops with black. The die for the teardrop opens so many possibilities.

Please visit the main blog to see fabulous inspiration from our guests and my talented teammates.
Looking forward to seeing how Yellow & Black inspire you.

AAA Colourful Colourboard #29 - Celebrate in Your Own Style (AALL and Create, SB Beautifully Imperfect, SSD Butterfly)

Hello,

Welcome to AAA Colourful Challenge #29, where we invite you to draw inspiration from the beautiful colours featured in the image below.  We're delighted to have Arlene joining us as our Guest Designer.

My card features two new additions to my stash. First is the AALL & Create: Blotch Code stencil, a 'blotchy' blend of flowers, leaves, splatters and, of course, butterflies. The second is the pretty butterfly ephemera from Simply Stated Design. Hopefully, you'll see the colours from the colourboard reflected in my choices of inks and the butterfly. The sentiment is from Spellbinders' Beautifully Imperfect collection.

Please head to the challenge blog to see fabulous inspiration from my talented teammates.

AAA Cards Challenge #316 - 1 + 1 Summer - You Are My Sunshine (Concord and 9th)

Hello,

Welcome to AAA Cards Challenge #316 where we have a 1 + 1 Summer theme to inspire you for the next two weeks.  The concept is simple: your card should feature something 'summery' paired with ONE of the choices from the following: Travel, Get Away, Beach or Sun.

My choices: summery colours + sun. I've used an older Concord & 9th set that I've had for ages. Felt good to give it a play.

Please visit the main blog to see my teammates' fabulous takes on the sketch.
Looking forward to seeing how it inspires you.

Inkspirational Challenge #369 - Visual Prompt - Woodland Gnome - Woodland Deer Celebrate You and Woodland Bear (Nadine Karen Designs - March Kit)

Hello,

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #369. For the next two weeks (June 6 - 19), we invite you to draw inspiration from our Visual Prompt featuring a charming woodland scene.  From the plaid-clad gnome and toadstool accents to the soft florals, greenery, whimsical elements, textures and cozy cottage-garden feel: an abundance of details to spark your creativity.  ✨🍄🌿📬

Alas, I do NOT do gnomes. Nope...no way.  That said, I do love whimsical images of forest animals, so I selected a sweet deer and darling bear as 'gnome stand-ins' for the two woodland cards I created. Both feature ephemera from the March kit collection I purchased from Nadine Karen Designs, a Canadian designer in BC. Her kits are delightful and jam-packed with crafting opportunities galore.

Hope my little woodsy scenes bring you a smile.

Color Hues Challenge #134 - Pink and Turquoise - Thanks from the Ocean Depths (Better Press Society - Sea Friends)

Hello,

Welcome to Colour Hues Challenge #134 where Bonnie invites us to play with hues of Pink an Turquoise for the next two weeks. Such a pretty combination for a wide range of images and occasions.

We're delighted to have Kim Miller joining us as our Guest Designer.

Another of my Better Press Society collections has come out for a play; this time, Sea Friends, that released a year ago in June 2025. It's about time I gave it some attention, right!

I glimmered the images with two shades of turquoise hot foil and one of pink.  As many of you know, glimmery, shimmery images are a challenge to photograph. In this case, however, the lighting created an interesting effect though, as it 'appears' I used various shades of teal with the ocean border, when I didn't. I'll take that as a win!  The pink and lighter shade of turquoise feature a 'satin' hot foil that offers a less shimmery, slightly softer result.

Please visit the main blog to see fabulous inspiration from our Guest Designer and my fabulous teammates.
Looking forward to seeing what you create with Pink and Turquoise.

The challenge will be open until June 14 @9:00am (EST).

The winners will be posted an hour before our next challenge and the overall
winner will have the opportunity to be a future Guest Designer.

Thank you for dropping by!

AAA Birthday Challenge #86 - For Boys - Hockey-themed Birthday Celebrations (Ronron Designs Rice Paper, SSD, 49 and Market)

Hello,

Welcome to AAA Birthday Challenge #86, where we invite you to create birthday cards *For Boys*.  Young or old, let's spend the month celebrating the special guys in our lives.

We're delighted to have Leslie joining us as our Guest Designer.

My 'For Boys' birthday card is a nod to my hockey-playing nephew (who, by the way, is now 14 and is taller than me! ACK!!) and his teammates.

The focal image features a new-to-me product — rice paper — from Canadian company Ronron Designs. I absolutely loved working with this medium and can already tell I’ll be exploring it more; their collection of rice papers, stamps and stencils is fantastic. The background paper comes from my custom hockey collection by Simply Stated Design; the chipboard sentiment is from the 49 & Market Glimmer & Glee collection.

Please visit the main blog to see fabulous inspiration from our guest and my teammates.
Looking forward to seeing your For Boys birthday cards in the gallery.
