My Petal Print stencil (Concord & 9th) came together with a variety of distress inks blended into a softly muted take of the colourboard palette. A Taylored Expressions sentiment finishes the design.

Inkspirational Challenge #361 - Visual Prompt - February Collage - Heart Frogs Valentines

Hello,

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #361.

We're continuing to 'spread the love' here for the next two weeks (Feb. 14 - Feb. 27) with inspiration coming from the variety of love/Valentine-themed images in the collage below. Rainbows, hearts, gnomes, Cupid's arrows, postage stamps, bouquets, the 'love' vibe...so much to capture your imagination.

(larger photo on the main blog)

I've created two cards for this challenge, both inspired by the 'love' vibe, the word Love on the bottom left, the colours and the 'singleness' of the images that, together, create this wonderfully whimsical collage.  My 'single' image for both cards: frogs, that are part of the delightful Heart Frogs ephemera from Simply Stated Design.

This little Frog Prince is ready to come a-courting, isn't he!

And this frog is certainly dapper with his rainbow umbrella and bejeweled heart!

Please head over to the main blog to see fabulous inspiration from my team.

Looking forward to seeing how this photo inspires you.
Let's spread the love...this month and all months!

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #810 - WORD Week - Valentine - Be My Valentine Love Bots x 2 (Simply Stated Design)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #810. I'm delighted to be your hostess for Word Week, where I've selected VALENTINE as inspiration. Even though Valentine's Day is February 14th (this Saturday, already), it's impact continues far beyond a single day. It's all about sharing and spreading love in a myriad of forms. Think: Valentine's Day, date night, Galentines, friendships, family...and so much more. 💕 Let's celebrate the Valentines - the people we love - throughout this week...this month...this year.

Once again, we welcome Denise  Morgan as our February Guest Designer.

I've created two cards using Love Bots ephemera from Simply Stated Design, die cut words from Lawn Fawn and hearts from Studio Light. So much fun when companies play together to help spread love!

Looking forward to seeing your Valentine-themed cards/projects filling the gallery.

Please head to the main blog to see fabulous inspiration from Denise and the rest of my talented team.

Just Us Girls Challenge #809 - Use Dies Week - Use A Heart - Heart Strings February Calendar (Concord and 9th, Better Press Calendar)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #809 where Sue, our hostess, would like us to use HEART DIES on our cards/projects. With Valentine's Day on the horizon, I'm sure many of us have an assortment of heart dies near at hand. I sure do!

We're delighted to have Denise Morgans joining us as our February Guest Designer.

Old products are playing with new ones for my card: Concord & 9th's Heartstrings dies and my Better Press Calendar plate for February. I need to use this plate a few more times before the month draws to a close...and then it will be March's turn!

Please head to the main blog to see wonderful inspiration from our guest designer and the Just Us Girls team.
Looking forward to seeing your creativity with your Heart dies.

Thank you for dropping by!

I'm an Elf For Christmas Kickstart Challenge #107 - Christmas Sing-Along - 12 Days of Christmas Partridge in a Pear Tree (Arden Ornaments, SB Christmas)

Hello,

Guess what: For the second time, wonderfully creative Jo invited me to be an ELF for Christmas Kickstart Challenge #107! Of course, my response was an enthusiastic "Heck, YES!"

As you likely know, but just in case you're new here, the idea behind her challenge is that her guest designs a card which she, in turn, draws inspiration from in creating her card. Then, she invites everyone to join in the fun with their takes on the theme and/or cards shared. A great way to get a lead on those Christmas cards we'll be needing.

For this month, the theme is

My card showcases papers and ephemera from my Spellbinders Christmas Card Kit, inspired by the classic “Partridge in a Pear Tree” from The Twelve Days of Christmas. To add visual interest to the front panel, I incorporated a layered ornament die from a new-to-me company: Arden Creative Studio. This was their debut outing in my craft room—and judging by the results, these dies will be making many repeat appearances as the festive season approaches. So much fun!

Please head over to the Christmas Kickstart Challenge blog to see what Jo has created; it's fantastic!
Looking forward to seeing what Christmas tunes we'll be singing along to in the gallery!
