Color Hues Challenge #91 - Red & Green - Festive Bouquet Poinsettia Merry Christmas (TH, ASD, Spellbinders)

Welcome to Colour Hues Challenge #91, where Sheri, our hostess, invites us to use hues of Red and Green as inspiration for the next two weeks. Christmas in July certainly comes to mind, as do a variety of other themes/occasions. 

On a bittersweet note, Hannelie is stepping down from the design team after this challenge, to pursue other paths on her creative journey. Thank you so much for being a wonderful inspiration over the past four years. You will be very much misses here but...we know where to find you and your fabulous CAS designs. 

We are delighted to have Rosemary joining us as our Guest Designer.

A combination of companies' products came out to play for my Christmas card: Festive Bouquet, from Tim Holtz, Snowflake cover plate from Alex Syberia Designs, and a foiled sentiment from Spellbinders.  Even though I've had the Festive Bouquet in my collection for quite a while, this is the first time I've made a red poinsettia with it. Need to make more! 

Looking forward to seeing how Red and Green inspire you.

Just Us Girls Challenge #735 - Word Week - Summertime - Sending Hugs and Good Vibes Sunglasses (Concord and 9th Bright Eyes, TE sentiment, MCT paper)

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #735, where our lovely hostess, Carol Mc, has selected SUMMERTIME as the theme for Word Week. Summer pastimes, summer activities, summer clothing...plenty of choices and directions to spark your creativity.

Once again, we're delighted to have Cat joining us as our July Guest Designer.

We've been having a heat wave here in Alberta: hot temperatures, bright blue skies, blazing sun. I'm not a fan of the heat - anything beyond 18C melts me (and our mini schnauzer, Lily) - but I do love stylish sunglasses and found a fabulous card here that sparked inspiration. Concord * 9th's Bright Eyes for the shades, assorted papers from MCT and a TE sentiment: happy to have found this simple recipe for making a card when I'm melting! LOL!

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #734, where our lovely hostess, Stephanie, has select the lovely combination of Coral and Yellow as inspiration this week.  

We're delighted to have Cat Craig joining us as our July Guest Designer.

Some of my "old" products from The Stamp Market have come to play: Papillon and a plaid stencil. I paired them with die cuts squares from Studio Light and a sentiment from Taylored Expression.
