Inkspirational Challenge #340 - Seasonal - Happy Mother's Day Floral Heart

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #340, where our theme for the next two weeks is SEASONAL.

Here's a quick description of the challenge:

We invite you to consider the four seasons - Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter - and create cards/projects based on occasions +  images that are 'specific' to those seasons.
For instance:

• Spring: Mother's Day, Easter, flowers, etc.
• Summer: summer vacations, school's out, weddings, beaches, Fourth of July, Canada Day, etc.
• Fall: harvest, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Remembrance Day, etc.
• Winter: Christmas, Hanukkah, winter activities.

These are just a few ideas to get you started; the team also has some fabulous inspiration for you.

For my SEASONAL card, I selected Spring. Images (obviously) are florals + Occasion is Mother's Day. This is the debut of my Floral Hearts glimmer plate, stencils and dies from This Calls for Confetti that I purchased from one of my favourite Canadian shops: Glitter and Ink. Simple to glimmer; simple to stencil. I may have a handful of these pretty hearts ready to be card-ified! 

I'm also sharing at The Dream Factory - Magnolia Challenge, where they're inviting us to create cards with  Flowers / Mother's Day.

Just Us Girls Challenge #771 - Moodboard Week - Happy Easter Eggs and Bunnies

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #771, where Elizabeth has selected a lovely Easter/Spring, rainbows, cake, spring wear, stripes and ovals - and so much more - mood board as inspiration this week.

Once again, we're delighted to have highly talented Wanda Cullen joining us as our April Guest Designer.  

Clearly, my inspiration comes from the lower right corner: the delightful array of decorated eggs. The black and white dotted one was the instigator. LOL! This marks the debut of my This Calls for Confetti Egg-cellent A2 Cover Plate Die, using assorted patterned papers, a bunny and sentiment from MCT, 

 

while my second card marks the debut of the accompanying stencil.

Color Hues Challenge #108 - Lilac and Aqua - Happy Birthday and Many More

Hello, 

Welcome to Colour Hues Challenge #108 where our lovely hostess, Nancy, has selected hues of Lilac and Aqua as inspiration for the next two week. This pretty Spring combination can cover ever so many occasions.

 We're delighted to have Caroline joining us as our Guest Designer for this challenge.

Finally, finally, my Spellbinders Ampersand is making its debut and, after seeing how lovely it is, I'm wondering why I waited so long to give it a play! Simple foiling and simple pencil colouring makes for an easy card.

The Dream Factory Challenge #138 - Magnolia - Guest Designer - Happy Mother's Day Cosmos

I'm thrilled and honoured to be the Guest Designer for The Dream Factory Challenge #138, where the theme/movie for April is Magnolia. Essentially, this means a month focused on flowers and/or Mother's Day. 

The Dream Factory team invite you to create any kind of handmade project:  card, art journal page, ATC, bookmark, mini album, canvas or 3D project.. So many choices, right!

For this challenge, I selected one of my favourite BetterPress plates - Cosmos Backdrop - foiled in gold and inked with distress inks. Although the design, overall, is simple, I love the impact it has with the varying sizes of flowers and leaves. The sentiment - adhered to vellum - is also from Spellbinders.

Inkspirational Challenge #339 - Mood Board - Happy Easter Bunny

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #339 where we invite you to draw inspiration from the decorated eggs image you see below.  Since Easter falls on April 20th, it makes complete sense that you may want to create a card/project with an Easter theme or Easter vibe. Alternatively, you may lean towards colours, ovals/shapes or even the intricate designs on the eggs. Perhaps the sprig of greenery catches your eye. Plenty of opportunities in this rather simple board...and we can't wait to see what you'll share in the gallery. 

The Easter vibe of the image prompted my card: an older set from My Favourite Things. Such fun to give these images some attention; the bunnies really are adorable!
