Inkspirational Challenge #372 - Word Prompt - Christmas In July - It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas Penguins (3D Christmas Class)

Hello,

Christmas in July is the perfect excuse to break out those festive supplies! As you've likely seen, many crafting companies are unveiling their exciting new Christmas releases, providing plenty of inspiration for holiday creativity. Whether you're eager to try the latest products or simply want to get a head start on your Christmas card stash before the holiday rush, we'd love for you to join us. Dust off your favourite festive stamps, dies, papers or embellishments and celebrate the season a little early!

I had the opportunity to take an online 3D Christmas in July class with a wonderful card-maker who creates magic with Hunky Dory products. We made several 3D layered cards (stash is started...yayyy!) over the course of the day - and while all were favourites, this penguin tree won as the overall 'Smile Maker'.  I decided to share it here, in the hopes it will bring a smile to you as well.

Please visit the main blog to see fabulous inspiration from my talented team.
Looking forward to a gallery filled with festive Christmas in July delights.

Color Hues Challenge #137 - Black and Red - Congrats, You Did It Hockey (Ronron Designs Rice Paper)

Hello,

Welcome to Colour Hues Challenge #137 where Julie P invites us to play with hues of Black and Red for the next two weeks. Julie is in the midst of settling into her new home, so our wonderful leader, Nancy, is taking the lead as hostess.

We're delighted to have two talented crafters joining us as Guest Designers for this challenge: Joanne James and Julia Aston.

The focal image on my card,  made with rice paper, hails from Canadian company Ronron Designs. The rice paper is an easy medium to work with for a variety of purposes: cards, journals, albums, glass, canvas...and so much more.  They're expanding their line to include stamps, stencils and papers, alongside new rice paper images.  My cart is rapidly filling up.

I've added a Taylored Expressions' sentiment, secretly hoping it will be to congratulate my nephew for earning a spot on a high level team. Tryouts happening soon.  Fingers crossed!

Please visit the main blog to see fabulous Black and Red inspiration from our guests and my wonderfully talented team.
Looking forward to seeing how this combination sparks your creativity.

The challenge will be open until July 29th at 9AM.

The winners will be posted an hour before our next challenge and the overall
winner will have the opportunity to be a future Guest Designer.

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #832 - Moodboard - Thanks from the Ocean Depths (SSD Ephemera, Better Press Society)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #832 where Bobby has selected a beach/ocean/vacation themed moodboard for inspiration this week.  Summer vibes galore!

Once again, we're delighted to have Bonnie Klass joining us as our July Guest Designer.

My inspiration comes from the bottom right photo: ocean + a single focal element. My background paper and pretty floral sea turtle are from Simply Stated Design; the grid - which I added just because - is from Uniquely Creative. Sentiment from one of my Spellbinders' Better Press Society collections.

Please visit the main blog to see fabulous inspiration from Bonnie and my talented team.
Looking forward to seeing how the mood board sparks your creativity.

AAA Colourful Colourboard #30 - Magic and Mischief (SB Craft-O-Ween Books)

Hello,

Welcome to AAA Colourful Challenge #30, where we invite you to draw inspiration from the beautiful colours featured in the dramatic sunset image below.  We're delighted to have Deanne joining us as our Guest Designer.

After several attempts to replicate the sky with ink blending, I gave up and headed in a different direction: Halloween.  The die cut images are from last year's Spellbinders' Craft-O-Ween collection. An assortment of colour-board inspired cardstock played much more cooperatively than my inks did! LOL!

Please head to the challenge blog to see fabulous inspiration from my talented teammates.
Looking forward to seeing how this Colourboard inspires you!

Just Us Girls Challenge #831 - Word Week -- PLAY - Hockey (Ronron Designs Rice Paper)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #831, where Vicki has selected PLAY as our Word Week theme.

Once again, we're delighted to have Bonnie Klass joining us as our July Guest Designer.

Of course I went with "playing hockey' as my interpretation of this multi-nuanced word. I've used a new medium for the hockey player image - rice paper - designed by Canadian company, Ronron Designs.  The background paper is from Simply Stated Design, also Canadian and, sadly, closed for all but the owner's Patreon group. Happy to report I'm one of those! Yay! I'll add a sentiment appropriate for the occasion; secretly hoping it will be to congratulate my nephew for making a high level team. Fingers crossed!

Please visit the main blog to see fabulous inspiration from our guest designer and my amazing teammates.

Looking forward to seeing how you play with PLAY!

AAA Cards Challenge #318 - Follow My Lead - Follow Marlies - Let's Shell-ebrate (SSD Crab Ephemera)

Hello,

Welcome to AAA Cards Challenge #318 - Follow My Lead. For the next two weeks, we invite you to draw inspiration from Marlie's card, featured below.

Inspiration card:

To follow Marlie's 'lead', I translated her background into a grid die cut and her coffee beans into a trio of way too cute crabs from Simply Stated Design. A sentiment from Waffle Flower finished off my CAS card.

Please visit the main blog to see my teammates' fabulous takes on the sketch.
Looking forward to seeing how it inspires you.
