25 Days of Christmas Tags~Day 20

Hello,

Welcome to Day 20 of 25 Days of Christmas Tags with Tracey McNeely!
We're delighted that CAS-ual Fridays are joining us as our guest and sponsor.
My tag features a "Most Wonderful" stamp Michelle is releasing for Black Friday and one that you can get for free with qualifying orders.  How lucky I am to have this beauty in my collection! Thank you, Michelle!  This sweet tree-shaped stamp will shine on whatever stage you place it on or technique you use it with. Mine: simple red on white and a second with a bit of masking. Clear embossing powder applied to both, which is hard to capture in a photo... but the sheen is real!

So many tag ideas for this gem!

25 Days of Christmas Tags~Day 17

Hello!
Today, Tracey's guest and sponsor is Avery Elle.
Today, I'm showcasing two of the five whimsical delights from the Quirky Christmas set. Whoville, anyone?  Love these...just some simple, gradient stamping, some gold decorations and ta dahhhh....sweet tags to dress up any kind of gift!

Turned upside down, with the trunk masked, they'd make for some charming winter hats, too! Ideas percolating....

Believe in the Magic of Christmas...Inkspirational Challenge #174~Word Prompt

Hello,

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #174, where we're inviting you to bring some 'magic' to your cards/projects over the next two weeks. With Christmas rapidly approaching, I can think of all kinds of images that spark wonder, awe and yes...magic!

My wonderful teammates have interpreted the prompt in most fabulous, lovely ways; please visit and leave them some love, which I know will be deeply appreciated:

Santa and his reindeer, flying through the night sky:  absolutely magical!  And yes, I believe in Santa...don't we all?

That's it from me...your turn!

Looking forward to visiting you in the gallery!

Cozy Winter Wishes...Just Us Girls Challenge #467~Colour Week

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #467~Colour Week, where our lovely Vicki invites us to play with yellow,  orange and turquoise.

Once again, we're thrilled to have wonderfully talented Claire Garland joining us. Please do visit her, as well as my teammates - SueAngieVickiInaBobbyNancyLisa and Maria - who would love to know you dropped by.

I'm well immersed into Christmas card-making (and tags...loads and loads of tags!), so the challenge was figuring out how to incorporate this palette into something winter/Christmas.  Fortunately, some new Pink and Main stamps and pink dies have joined my collection, so I dressed up a few images to share with you today.  The little girl dressed in her boots and parka: totally me...all. winter. long!

Over to you...

Looking forward to seeing your dazzling interpretations of yellow, orange and turquoise in the gallery!

25 Days of Christmas Tags~Day 16

Hello!
A warm welcome to Day 16 of 25 Days of Christmas Tags with Tracey McNeely. Today, Tracey's guest and sponsor is Ellen Hutson.
Ellen generously sent the team Mountain Holiday stamps and dies to play with...and play I did! Snow much fun!!

Two with our agile skiers, swooshing through moguls to bring Christmas wishes. My husband was quick to point out that my gondola was precariously perched and should be 'running straight'. I waved him away...my tag to do with as I please (although, he may be right...not sure I'd want to be on a gondola that "appears" to be heading straight into a mountain!  Kind of reminds me of the landing strip in Lukla, Nepal...the one that goes 'uphill' along the shoulder of a mountain. YIKES...and we wonder why I have fear of flying!  Anyway, I digress...)

Supplies out, images coloured...why not make a few more...

The small tag opens to reveal the sentiment; just a cute little embellishment to accompany a pair of warm socks or a scarf.

The Mountain Holiday medley...

25 Days of Christmas Tags~Day 15

Hello!

Welcome to Day 15 of 25 Days of Christmas Tags with Tracey McNeely, featuring STAMPlorations as our guest and fabulous sponsor! I'm especially delighted to be joining in as part of the STAMPlorations design team.

As you know, Shery offers a wide range of tags for our 'tag-making' needs, but she also offers a wonderful assortment of CUTplorations dies that can 'stand alone' as tags, simply by cutting them from pattern paper and stacking them to whatever thickness you want with heavy-weight cardstock. Mine are three layers of cardstock + the patterned paper.

Tags don't 'have' to be on tags to be tags, right? Right!! Especially when time is at a premium, the bigger CUTplorations dies make for delightful little additions to a gift!

You can use any larger dies you have on hand, but for my tags (which could also serve as ornaments once detached from the gift) I've used: Christmas Angel, Nativity, Typografia: Miracle of Christmas, Tags #1. The paper: Kaisercraft Christmas Edition

A more 'traditional' tag...

How about a 'wintry' Christmas Angel tag or perhaps a sparkly gift tag (Gift Builder #1) or even a plaid Merry Christmas tag? Yes, please!

Simple? Absolutely? Cheating (using patterned paper)? I don't think so!  Anything we create, as long as it's infused with joy, is perfectly okay in my books!  Plus, I think these are rather sweet! I had to hold myself back from making a host of angels; wouldn't they make a beautiful banner, using different patterned papers..or even an Advent calendar...hmmmm?
