Color Hues Challenge #138 - Navy and Teal - Leaf Frame Happy Birthday (Better Press Society)

Hello,

Welcome to Colour Hues Challenge #138, where Karen invites us to play with hues of Navy and Teal for the next two weeks.

We're delighted to have Rachel Ball joining us as our Guest Designer.

Another challenge - and guess what, another Better Press Society plate to share. This Leaf Frame is so pretty - and fits wonderfully with this colour combination. Actually, it would be lovely in any colour and for a wide range of occasions. Spellbinders' nesting dies and cardstock created the placeholder for the sentiment and the trio of matchy-matchy enamel dots.

Please visit the main blog to see fabulous inspiration from our Guest Designer and my talented teammates.
Looking forward to seeing your takes on Navy and Teal in the gallery.

The challenge will be open until August 14 at 9:00am (EST).

The winners will be posted an hour before our next challenge and the overall
winner will have the opportunity to be a future Guest Designer.

Thank you for dropping by!

AAA Birthday Challenge Challenge #88 - Flowers - Celebrate. It's Your Day Easel Card (Nadine Karen Design)

Hello,

Can you believe it's already August 1st? Time is flying!

Welcome to AAA Birthday Challenge #88 where, for the next month, we want to see flowers adorning your birthday cards. Single flowers, bouquets bursting with blooms, whimsical posies, elegant roses: any petaled delight you'd like to share in the gallery is sure to make us happy.

I've used a combination of patterned paper and ephemera for my floral easel card. I don't make easels often and I should. They're fun!

Please visit the main blog to see my teammates' fabulous floral delights.
Looking forward to seeing yours in the gallery.

Inkspirational Challenge #373 - Visual Prompt - Beach Vibes - I'm So Happy for You (Fishbowl Style Beach Scene)

Hello,

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #373 - Visual Prompt - Beach Vibes. For the next two weeks (Aug. 1 - 14), we invite you to dive into this dreamy mood board filled with soft coastal colours, seashells, sandy beaches, driftwood and tranquil seaside scenes. Use the colours, images, textures or simply the feeling this board evokes to inspire your next card. Whether you create a CAS beach scene, an elegant nautical design or something completely unexpected, we'd love to see where the tide takes your creativity.

The beachy-ocean theme plays loudly on my 'stylized fish bowl' card. I created 'water' inside the fish bowl with a waves stamp, then decorated with ephemera from Nadine Karen Design's May kit. My card ringing in at 5.5 inches square - is on the larger side but that's fine as I needed the space for my assorted elements.

Please visit the main blog to see fabulous inspiration from my talented team.
Looking forward to your 'beach vibes' filling the gallery.

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #834 - CASE a Design Team Week - Live It Up - Today is All Yours ( 49 and Market - Glimmer and Glee)

Hello,
Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge # 834 - CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit or Copy And Share Everything) Week. Carol Mc is the hostess for this challenge. We love to see how you are inspired by a card that one of the team members has made. Let us know whose card you chose to CASE and what it is about that card that inspired you to create a version of your own.

If you decide to CASE my card - and I would be honoured if you do - possibilities galore await you with my 49 & Market Glimmer and Glee card that I CASE-d from one of the company's designers. Think: patterned papers, ephemera, birthday theme, a 'tunnel' style, bears + balloons + butterflies, soft colours, flowers, circles etc.  I must say I'm completely smitten with this collection.

Please visit the main blog to see fabulous inspiration from my talented teammates.
Looking forward to seeing whose card you'll CASE!

Just Us Girls Challenge #833 - Anything Goes Stencil Week - Sending Seeds of Joy (Waffle Flower)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #833 - Anything Goes Stencil Week. Bring out your stencils and show them some love.

Once again, we're delighted to have Bonnie Klass joining us as our July Guest Designer.

My Waffle Flower Seeds postage collage stencil and texture die are making their debut. Just in case you've noticed (all about being transparent, here. LOL!), the top right seed package does indeed have a slant. Initially, I though the stencil or die had a flaw, but when I looked at the WF site, I noticed that this was evident on several of the designers' cards. I'm not sure if this was a deliberate design decision or a 'oops' that they've decided to leave as is. Next time I use this collection, I'll likely leave out this particular stamp. Yes...a bit disappointing but at least work-arounds are possible.

Please visit the main blog to see inspiration from Bonnie and my teammates.
Looking forward to see your stencil sensations in the gallery.

Inkspirational Challenge #372 - Word Prompt - Christmas In July - It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas Penguins (3D Christmas Class)

Hello,

Christmas in July is the perfect excuse to break out those festive supplies! As you've likely seen, many crafting companies are unveiling their exciting new Christmas releases, providing plenty of inspiration for holiday creativity. Whether you're eager to try the latest products or simply want to get a head start on your Christmas card stash before the holiday rush, we'd love for you to join us. Dust off your favourite festive stamps, dies, papers or embellishments and celebrate the season a little early!

I had the opportunity to take an online 3D Christmas in July class with a wonderful card-maker who creates magic with Hunky Dory products. We made several 3D layered cards (stash is started...yayyy!) over the course of the day - and while all were favourites, this penguin tree won as the overall 'Smile Maker'.  I decided to share it here, in the hopes it will bring a smile to you as well.

Please visit the main blog to see fabulous inspiration from my talented team.
Looking forward to a gallery filled with festive Christmas in July delights.
