Just Us Girls Challenge #551~Wild Card Week...Happy Birthday Butterflies

Hello,

I'm delighted to be your hostess for our Just Us Girls Challenge #551, where I've selected BUTTERFLIES as our *wild card* prompt! We're still seeing them flitting about here in Alberta; pretty, colourful signs that summer is still here...at least for a few more days!

A huge THANK YOU to Lisa Elton, from mypapertales, for being our guest designer this month! Her wrap up card: sheer delight! Hope you enjoy gazing at and admiring her pretty card, as well as all the beautiful creations by the rest of the team: Sue, Angie, Vicki, Ina, Bobby, Nancy, Lisa, Maria and Cécile. If you have a chance to leave comments, that would be a real treat.

Yes...another slimline, this time featuring one of my favourite Concord & 9th sets: Butterfly Beauty. I love the faux water-colour look of the background images. A simple sentiment, some Studio Katia gems and...done!

Looking forward to seeing your butterfly-inspired cards/projects in the gallery!

I'm dashing in, nearly last minute, with my pair of cards for Twofer Challenge #30.

The MFT Sky-High card kit is sheer delight; so much so that I've already made 10 cards with it!  Two of the cards - featuring a variety of images, including the adorable bunny in the moon - are below; fingers crossed that they fit the parameters for Twofer in being of different design/occasion.

Here they are, separately:

Those bears and bunnies...they make me smile!

NOTE: Thrilled and honoured to be selected as the Twofer Card Challenge #30~Conventional Winner! THANK YOU!!

Inkspirational Challenge #220~Designer's Choice...Hugs, Sunshine & Rainbows +Umbrellas

Hello,

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #220, where we're inviting you to use Rain/Rainbows on your cards/projects.  I think many of us could use rain (literally...so dry here) and rainbows (literally and figuratively) in our lives right now!

A while back, I ordered a handful of products from Funky Fossil Designs (and have, since, placed another order...awaiting its arrival), which included this super sweet umbrella stencil.  Those scattered little 'brollies are adorable, especially when inked with a rainbow palette.  For the first card, I paired it with a sentiment from The Stamp Market; for the second, with a sentiment, clouds and sun from Concord & 9th.

Hope these make you smile; hope they brighten your day!

My wonderful teammates have interpreted Rain/Rainbows in most delightful fashions. Please visit and leave them some love, which I know will be deeply appreciated:

Just Us Girls Challenge #549~Colour Week...Thank You Purse (Dark Teal, Berry, Kraft)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #549 where our lovely hostess, Angie, has selected kraft, dark teal and berry as this week's palette.

We're pleased to have Lisa Elton from mypapertales joining us once again. Enjoy gazing at and admiring her pretty card, as well as all the beautifulcreations by the rest of the team: Sue, Angie, Vicki, Ina, Bobby, Nancy, Lisa, Maria and Cécile. If you have a chance to leave comments, that would be a real treat.

Soooo...this combination of colours was totally new to me and had me stymied for quite a while. Finally, however, an idea sparked based on two things: my major obsession with Concord & 9th's Every Day Purse set (seriously...o.b.s.e.s.s.e.d!  I'm obsessing over a few things of late!) and a purse image I found here.  What is odd about my paper purse addiction is that I'm not one for real purses in the least. I might have one somewhere but where I have no idea. Knapsack and just 'carrying my wallet' is about the extent of my accessorizing....and given my non-outings over the past several months, I'm not concerned with adding purses to my 'collection'!  That said: those little C & 9th purses are ohmystars adorable!  We won't discuss how many I've made already...and more to come! They're the perfect 'go to' project when my mojo needs an energy boost.

My purse features: MFT Razzleberry paper, Studio Katia's dots stencil + Picked Raspberry distress oxide ink, Paper Smooches Sunflower in dark teal cardstock and a snippet of dark/light teal patterned paper from P13 (oh...and that's another addiction! P13 paper is awe-mazing!) for the center, and a kraft tag.  The purse opens like a card; I have yet to make a 'full' purse as yet because the  small cards are delightful as is...perfect for a note, a gift card...whatever.

That's it from me!

Looking forward to seeing how you're inspired by Dark Teal, Berry and Kraft!

Thank you for dropping by!

Inkspirational Challenge #219~Word Prompt: Face...Hey, Gorgeous

Hello,

First, a big thank you to all who embraced the 'odd' photo from our previous challenge; your creativity is awe-mazing!  Selecting Top Picks will not be easy...and that's a good problem to have!

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #291, where our word prompt for the next two weeks is FACE. Let's face it: this prompt has loads of possibilities, be it a face, the concept of a face, images 'facing' each other, the word face...and that's just a start! I'm sure we'll be dazzled by your takes.

Full on literal card for me, using the Foxy stencil from STAMPlorations with slimline dies and sentiment from Pinkfresh Studio.  I love this stencil; perfect for all kinds of girly cards...

My wonderful teammates have interpreted FACE in most delightful fashions. Please visit and leave them some love, which I know will be deeply appreciated:

Just Us Girls Challenge #548~Trend Week...Blast Off...All Systems Are A Go (Die-cut a Window)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #548, where our sweet hostess, Bobby, has selected 'die-cut a window' as this week's trend.

We're pleased to have Lisa Elton from mypapertales joining us once again. Enjoy gazing at and admiring her pretty multi-windows card, as well as all the clever creations by the rest of the team: Sue, Angie, Vicki, Ina, Bobby, Nancy, Lisa, Maria and Cécile. If you have a chance to leave comments, that would be a real treat.

I had several ideas for a window card but, after seeing the inspiration from MFT Summer School: Symmetry (Day 3),

I decided to switch directions and play with a new die that joined my collection:  Blast Off!  Nothing particularly uber creative here, as Stephanie used this Blast Off die for her instruction card, however, it's a 'first' for me, so that counts for 'original' on some level. The little window on my rocket is smothered with glossy accents for a glassy sheen. I had a blast with Blast Off...looking forward to a whole bunch more makes with it!

Looking forward to seeing your die-cut window creations in the gallery!
