Inkspirational Challenge #240~Photo...Just Saying Hello (MFT Sky High Balloons, Bears and Bunnies)

Hello,

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #240, where we have this fabulous photo as inspiration for the next two weeks. Hot air balloon, mountains, clouds, the lake, reflection...lots of choices.

I brought out the adorable MFT Sky High set for my card and created two sets of bunnies and bears hot-air ballooning through the sky. They are just so darn cute...and brave! You wouldn't catch me snoozing on top of a big ol' balloon...nope, I'd more than likely be the bunny tightly tucked into the basket, wondering how soon we'd be landing!

Please check out my teammates' takes on the prompt, then play along with us!

Just Us Girls Challenge #586~Wild Card: Spots and/or Dots...Polka Dot Celebrate

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #586, where our sweet Angie has selected Spots and/or Dots as her 'wild card' inspiration. Hopefully, we'll see this 5th-weekend-in-May gallery filled to the brim with spotty and dotty makes!

We want to thank Jacinda  for being our fabulously inspiring guest designer this month. Her card is a delight, as you'll 'sea'! My teammates have shared charming cards as well; if you have a chance to leave them some love, I know it will be appreciated.

I had so much fun making this card with some adorable patterned paper, a trio of cardstock balloons and a new set of tall frame + postage dies.  I love it when products do all the work!

That's it from me; looking forward to how spots and/or dots inspire you!

Thank you for dropping by!

Sticker Monday for STAMPlorations (Part 2)...Stickers, Stencils and Slimlines

Hello,

I'm delighted to be sharing my second, of three, Sticker Monday posts with you today; a great chance for you to see how versatile these stickers can be, regardless of your crafting style.

I've fully embraced slimlines and are the chosen format for my trio of cards today. Fortunately, Shery has a plethora of slimline stencils that are simply wonderful, making creating pretty cards a breeze!

My cards follow a similar design: slimline base, stenciling, a sticker sentiment - using the eclipse (or camouflage) technique - and an extra die-cut that I felt matched either the sentiment or the stencil.  The 'how to' was the same for each one:
  • use a die to cut into the base to remove the 'eclipse' section
  • place the sticker over top of this piece, either trimming off or folding under any excess
  • cut two more of the die shapes, using heavy cardstock, and adhered them together, along with the eclipse piece (this creates dimension)
  • adhere my stenciled panel over a card base
  • insert the stacked eclipse section
  • added my 'embellishments.
To be honest: explaining the steps took longer than actually making the cards *grin*

Hello,

Popping in on this cool Sunday-in-May to share 'yet another' card made with my current dies + stamps fascination: Missees by Karin Joan/Studio Light. Please say Hello to my Birthday Primarina, who I was inspired to make for Seize the Birthday Challenge #214.  Turns out she also fits into a few other challenges, so I'll send here to those as well.

And yes...I am totally obsessed!
Many Missees to come...sorry (actually, not sorry...I LOVE them) and I hope you will, too.

Just Us Girls Challenge #585~Photo Week...Dainty Blooms Hi

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #585, where our sweet Cécile has selected a pretty bouquet of daisies as this week's photo inspiration. What catches your eye: the daisies, the colours, the textures, everything?  Simple image with so many possibilities!

Once again, we're delighted to have Jacinda joining us as our May guest designer. Her card, and those of my team, are WOW! Please drop in, share some love, then join us!

My eyes were drawn to the flowers + vase, the kraft, the 'texture' and the overall simplicity, which resulted in this mid-size slimline card.  It's a compilation of products from a host of my favourite companies: Missees by Karin Joan (sentiment), STAMPlorations (background), Pinkfresh Studio (flowers and vase) and My Creative Time (card panels/base). I'm not particularly talented when it comes to flower-themed challenges but...I'm happy with the way this one turned out. Hope it makes you smile!

That's it from me; looking forward to how the photo inspires you!

Thank you for dropping by!

The Color Hues Challenge #18~Purple and Teal...After the Rain Comes the Rainbow

Hello

Welcome to Color Hues Challenge #18, where our wonderful Lindsey invites us to use hues of Purple and Teal as our inspiration for the next two weeks. Such a fun combination! And speaking of fun: check out our new, jazzed-up animated graphic; a design created by Nancy's son! Super cool!

Rainbow! While I certainly haven't spanned the ROY. G. BIV spectrum, I think a purple and teal rainbow is rather fun, especially when it includes hearts and faux stitching on some of the arcs. I even found teal ink in my stash for the sentiment. This rainbow dies + stamp collection is a delight...and I'll definitely be sharing more makes with it soon.

Please visit the rest of the team, along with our guest designer, Janet; they've created quite the array of dazzling delights with Teal and Blue:

The challenge is open until 9:00 AM (EST) on May 29th.
The winners will be posted an hour before our next challenge goes live (June 1st).
The overall winner will have the opportunity to be a
future Guest Designer!

Thank you for dropping by!

Inkspirational Challenge #239~Triangle...Triangle Slimline Birthday

Hello,

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #239, where our prompt for the next two weeks is *triangle*. Whatever shape your triangle - equilateral, scalene, isoceles (had to dip into memories of high school math for that trio! - bring them on in what shape and size you want! If the angles add up to 180 degrees, your triangle is perfect!

Patterned paper (from my stash, no idea who made it...darn!) came out to play and look at alllll those equilateral triangles!  I was tempted to keep it on my 'gaze at and admire' pile, as it's the only sheet I have, but I dove in. So glad I did; it made for an easy slimline To keep both the sentiment and triangles visible, I used a vellum panel. Overall, a quick make.

Please check out my teammates' takes on the prompt, then play along with us!

Just Us Girls Challenge #584~Colour Week: Yellow, Lavender and Blue...Primarina Hi (Missees)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #584,where our lovely hostess, Maria, has selected the pretty Spring palette of yellow, blue and lavender to inspire us his week.

We're delighted to have Jacinda  joining us with a gorgeous card. My teammates' creativity is, as always, impressive. If you have opportunity to drop in at their blogs to leave some love, do know that will be appreciated.

I am absolutely x a zillion enthralled with the Karin Joan's line of Missees! LOVE them! I've made quite a few so far, using the essential set - Betty - as well as the newest addition - Primarina. I'm waiting for Tasha and Carol to make an appearance and then, oh my! Missess galore!

Let me introduce you to my first showing of a Primarina Missee who is sporting yellow, blue and lavender, with bits of gold accents.  Upscale paper dolls = so much fun!

That's it from me; looking forward to seeing how *Yellow, Lavender and Blue* inspire you!

Perfectly CAS May 2021 Challenge #15~Repeat Stamping...Just an Old-Fashioned Hello, Hello, Hello

Hello,

Welcome to Perfectly CAS May 2021 Challenge #15, where this month's theme is REPEAT STAMPING. Plenty of interpretations - be it images, words, phrases - as you'll see from the designers.

My card features the debut the Call Me set from Sugar Pea. Isn't that little phone adorable! I stamped the first part of the sentiment in black, then masked and stamped the attached Hello for the repetition. Quick and relatively easy, provided one remembers to remove the inked tape before inking on the panel. Yeah...we had a couple takes before getting it smudge free. Apparently, I'm still very much a novice at stamping/masking!

Please be sure to pop by my teammates' blogs, leave them some love, then bring your Perfectly CAS Repeat Repeat Stamping *grin* creations to the gallery.
  • A friendly reminder: For this challenge, we're asking you to use one-third (aka: the rule of thirds) or less on your card designs, leaving plenty of scrumptious white space (two-thirds of your panel) to draw our eyes to to your focal image. Kylie has included an easy-to-follow explanation on the challenge blog here.

Hope you're staying safe and healthy!

Thank you for dropping by!

HLS May 2021 Anything Goes with Dies Challenge...Library Card Hugs, Kisses and Love (Hero Arts)

Hello,

My new Hero Arts' library card dies and stamps are making their debut here, with two cards for my niece and nephew. The panels, library card and ampersand are all die-cuts. The background paper, a 6 x6 sheet from Pinkfresh, has also been awaiting 'the' perfect showcase opportunity and I decided: this is it! Fortunately, the mini slimlines meant two cards from one piece, so double score!

That's it from me! Check out what my talented teammates have created, then bring out your dies and join us in the gallery!

Thank you for dropping by!

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #583, where our sweet Ina has chosen *Layers* for Trend Week. Set aside the CAS and bring on your layers upon layers upon layers!

I'm not versed in pairing papers, so hopefully, the combination here is pleasing to your eye. Bonus: no stamping!

Here's the set...

The envelope, with the card tucked inside...

and the mini card.

That's it from me; looking forward to seeing how *Layers* inspires you!
