My card features some of the charming images from STAMPlorations Christmas #2 ephemera collection. Cuteness galore and oh, the sturdiness of the paper is truly fabulous! Envelope pocket on the front; tag nestled inside. Snowflakes are from Lawn Fawn; the sentiment, from MFT. Easy to make...especially since I LOVE tags!

Just Us Girls Challenge #608~Wild Card Week: Leaves...Thankful for You (MCT and 49th & Market)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #608, where our lovely hostess, Bobby, has selected Leaves for the Wild Week Challenge. We *were* enjoying autumn's splendor just a day ago; today, snow, snow and snow!

We have two pieces of news to share. First, our lovely Design Team member, Angie Cimbalo, will be leaving us after this challenge.  We'll miss your amazing creativity at JUGS, but on the plus side: we know you're continuing to craft up a storm and we know where to find you! All the best on your new ventures!

The end-of-the-month also means we're bidding a fond farewell to our wonderful guest designer, Nora Noll.  Thank you for your wonderful inspiration this month; hopefully, you'll continue to share your talents in the gallery.

A fall leaves card from me today, using gorgeous papers from 49 & Market. The images and weight are right up my alley! The leaves dies are from the first company I made purchases from when I started card-making about 9 years ago and I've been a fan-favourite ever since: My Creative Time. These dies are delights; actually, all of Emma's dies are delights. Believe me, given my rather hefty collection, I speak from experience. *grin*

Looking forward to how you'll be inspired by Leaves this week!

Just Us Girls Challenge #607~Photo Week...Love You Fox (Missees Pets)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #607, where Cécile has selected this adorable photo for this week's inspiration.  The little fox in the moon is darling!

Once again, we're delighted to have Nora Noll joining us as our guest designer this month. Her card is delightfully sweet, as are those by my teammates.

I used several Missees sets to create my card - and yes, you read that right! Missees Pets, to be precise.  The fox isn't part of the collection, but I figured out how to make one using the Kitty Cat and Pet Accessories sets. The tail comes from one of the Andrew hair styles, the banner from Funny Bunny and the sentiment from Anna & Bella.  The cat/fox is larger than I first thought, so I'm thinking I should have created a different, more stylish stage for him but...the one here is okay, as it does capture some of the features of the photo.

Looking forward to how you'll be inspired by this week's photo!

STAMPlorations CUTplorations Creative Cuts...Birthday Trio

Hello,

I'm delighted to share, over the course of several months, a variety of projects featuring STAMPlorations CUTplorations Creative Cuts. As you know, Shery has a plethora of thin, cut-like-butter dies in her shop. Words, phrases, tags/frames, images, cutting plates...possibilities galore. If you love dies as much as I do (and I DO!), please be sure to check them out!

Birthdays are the theme for my first series, with the Skinny Sentiments word dies playing a lead role on the stage of each project. One, of the many, fabulous things about this set, is that it plays wonderfully with patterned papers. For my ensemble, I selected a collection from P13.

Project 1 - Pyramid Card

I've become intrigued with 3D makes of late; here, a pyramid card. So easy to make and the fact it stands up (with a wee bit of velcro to affix one flap over another) adds to the 'cool' impact. As you can see, the sentiment/curly frames work well with this style

Project 2 - ATC Gift Envelope

A few years back, Shery had designed an ATC envelope - and I'm lucky enough to have one! While it's not available at present (hint, hint, Shery...), I *had* to use it, as it's the perfect size for a gift card or an ATC size note. Once again, a skinny sentiment and curly frame are the focal point.

Project 3 -  Birthday Tags *card*

Okay...so I got a little carried away with making tags! This series of tags - Tags #1 - is a full-on celebration! Birthday images and birthday wishes...a 'party' on paper! Below, is a flip-through of the assorted tags.

I hope you enjoyed my birthday set!
Just a wee snippet of the oh-so-many possibilities CUTplorations offer!

Color Hues Challenge #28~Red and Kraft...Cozy Winter Bear Joy

Hello,

Welcome to Color Hues Challenge #28, where our lovely hostess Nancy has selected hues of Red and Kraft as inspiration for the next two weeks. I happen to LOVE this combination, as it fits an abundance of themes, as you'll see on the blog.

Several of Tim Holtz's new Christmas thinlits found their way into my collection recently (no point exercising restraint!) and the first two to play are the bear from Cozy Winter and the sentiment from Festive words. Yes, the bear was a bit fiddly but...I think it's becoming clear that I like fussing with die-cuts. He is cute, isn't he, although I'm not entirely sure his expression is one of joy! Let's call it the 'look of shock' before the joy sets in. Whatever the case, this card was fun to make and to share!

Please visit our talented lineup of designers whose Red and Kraft creations are amazing, then join us in the gallery!

Maja - Guest Designer

The challenge is open until 9:00 AM (EST) on October, 29th.

The winners will be posted an hour before our next challenge goes live.
The overall winner will have the opportunity to be a
future Guest Designer!

Thank you for dropping by!

Inkspirational Challenge #250~Designer's Choice: For Boys or Men...Camera Album for my Nephew

Hello,

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #250, where Pia has selected "For Boys or Men' as her Designer's Choice. Love this theme and you'll soon see why!

Many of us find creating masculine cards a challenge - as do I - but when I have an awesome 'muse' as inspiration, the ideas and designs come easily. Who is my muse, you ask? My nine-year-old nephew, Mr. C!

Back in August, I started a camera-style album for my niece and nephew. They're 'loosely' school-themed and, hopefully, will continue to be works-in-progress for the duration of this school year. I shared details and photos of the version for my niece on this post

Today, I'm delighted to show you the cover and a few of the inside pages of the one for my nephew. Yes, very time consuming but worth every second!

Photo from first day of Grade 4 (this year)

First day of  Grade 3 (2020)...he's a Boston Bruins fan!

The photo below makes me laugh; the helmet is a 'badge of honour' for being the top player in a hockey game. LOL!

And a few more pages

Since I'm on a roll with nephew projects, I'll also share the cards I made as a guest designer for Missees, featuring one of the new Missees Man sets. I LOVE all things Missees! More details on the photos that inspired them on my instagram feed.

Please check out my teammates' take on the photo, then play along with us!

Just Us Girls Challenge #606~Color Week...Yellow, Turquoise and Green...Trick or Treat Ghost

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #606, where our lovely hostess, Lisa, has selected this pretty trio of colours as this week's inspiration.

Once again, we're delighted to have Nora as our guest designer this month. Her card and those of my teammates are sure to dazzle.

I have Halloween on my mind, so...I did my best to see if these colours would work for a "spooky" card. I think they did...and sure hope you do, too! (And look...another all-dies card *grin*)

Your turn! Looking forward to seeing how yellow, turquoise and green spark your creativity!

Thank you for dropping by!

A Tiny Craft (ATC) Challenge #2~Fall/Autumn....Leaf Trio (49 & Market)

Hello,

Joining A Tiny Craft Challenge #2 with a trio of Fall/Autumn ATCs.

While I would love to say that I collected these l leaves, then pressed, laminated and fussy-cut them, that would be an outright lie! The only "gathering" that happened was placing this lovely 49 & Market In the Leaves foliage, ephemera and  patterned paper in a shopping cart!  This line is new to me and ohmystars! Gorgeous! Beautiful patterns, fabulous accessories, sturdy paper. Yes, I will be adding more to my collection that, currently, stands at one package of foliage, one package of die-cut elements and 2 (well, technically 1.5) sheets of 12 x 12 paper.

Here are my ATCs solo...

HLS October 2021 Anything Goes with Dies Challenge...Mini Camera Album

Hello,

In late August, I started a 'project' for my niece and nephew; essentially, a camera style album that's loosely 'school' themed. What it actually contains is a compilation of photos that I have on hand, that I categorized into school year time frames. Why that format? Because it helped organize my picture selections; it narrowed down the size of the album, which hopefully will continue to be a work-in-progress over the course of this year and more to come; it gave me opportunity to use some super cool Grade patterned paper for the cover and as dividers. Made sense to me...and because I had the awesome opportunity to deliver it to them in person, it made sense to them as well! Yayyy!

Here, I'm sharing snippets of the album for my niece. Die-cutting galore!

A fan out of the current pages, covering K to the 'start' of Grade 6.

My goal is to create a monthly page, with a couple of photos of activities that they did during that month. I already have September in the works and once October is done, I'll send the pages. Happy mail to add to their little album!

That's it from me! Check out what my talented teammates have created, then bring out
your dies and join us in the gallery!
