Two cards from me, using assorted papers, stickers and die-cuts from Echo Park. One will head to my niece, who'll be in Grade 7 this year (ACK!!!); the other to my nephew, going into Grade 5 (ACK again!). They're growing up way way way tooooo fast!

The MFT couch collection finally landed at my place and ohmystars! So much fun designing little rooms with the assortment of dies/stamps. The furniture, decor elements and even the drapes are fabulous; possibilities galore with this set.  I think it's obvious what features from the photo caught my eye!

I went rather literal with the photo with my little snow people and sentimet from Your Next Stamp. The 'window' is from Studio Katia. Of course, they needed to be on sparkly snow.

Just Us Girls Challenge #607~Photo Week...Love You Fox (Missees Pets)

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #607, where Cécile has selected this adorable photo for this week's inspiration.  The little fox in the moon is darling!

Once again, we're delighted to have Nora Noll joining us as our guest designer this month. Her card is delightfully sweet, as are those by my teammates.

I used several Missees sets to create my card - and yes, you read that right! Missees Pets, to be precise.  The fox isn't part of the collection, but I figured out how to make one using the Kitty Cat and Pet Accessories sets. The tail comes from one of the Andrew hair styles, the banner from Funny Bunny and the sentiment from Anna & Bella.  The cat/fox is larger than I first thought, so I'm thinking I should have created a different, more stylish stage for him but...the one here is okay, as it does capture some of the features of the photo.

All those beautiful flowers inspired me, particularly the pretty roses on the white china. I have a teacup/saucer very much like it...a treasured heirloom from my Grandma on my dad's side. In fact, I have a variety of cups/saucers that she collected over the years...and when we were kids, she served cocoa in them for us. Spoiled? Oh, definitely! (Along with the cocoa came toast fingers - toast cut into strips, covered with honeybee syrup - a couple potato chips and three cheezies. Best. Breakfasts. Ever!)

I used the absolutely darling Scalloped Notecard dies from The Stamp Market, paired with gorgeous papers from Cocoa Vanilla Studio, to make my mini cards (3 X 4). Thanks, Welcome, Congrats and Friend dies are also part of the set. Perfect to make quick pretties!

Alas, no elephants in my collection, so I went with the photo's theme of 'safari' animals...and added a whimsical touch. The background Zebra Stripes stencil and the Wild sentiment are from the brand-spanking-new release from Uniko Studios. The little zebra: Paper Smooches.

My goodness, but we're already at the end of May! Zipping by far too quickly...and we're still waiting for a 'sustained' arrival of Spring!  Leaves are slowly starting to bud but the rains and cool temperatures are, I'm sure, having them rethink the process!  Perhaps this week we'll see more green and colour!  Speaking of colour....

Warning: I am completely crushing over and smitten with the Unicorns Rock stamps and dies from Your Next Stamp. You'll be seeing them a LOT...just sayin'!  Adorable and 'perfect' to practice copic colouring...win-win in every way!  Rainbow clouds, balloon and colours = my connection to the photo! And look at his nose! It's a happy face! And that tummy button...gahhhhh! Toooooooo cute - which explains why I'm so in love with them!

Leafy Thanks...Just Us Girls Challenge #459~Photo Week

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #459~Photo Challenge, where our sweet Maria has selected this lovely Fall photo to inspire us.  I'm currently at my mom's, where we're having a heaping helping of winter right now! Apparently, a return to autumn weather is on the radar but today...brrrr!!!

 Sooo...my card was made in a complete panic - and I know it looks that way, too. Sighhhh! I simply didn't bring the right supplies to my mom's for a bit of crafting during the week (even though I thought I did! Poor planning on my part...), so a 'frantic' trip to a local retailer saw me buying a whole lot of stuff the Lawn Fawn Leaf Reveal Wheel.  Let's just consider this one a practice...Perhaps a new version later in the week that does justice to this set will happen, once I'm back in my crafting space. On the plus side: I love the reveal wheels oodles!

I can't believe that August is coming to a close; I especially can't believe that the start of a new school year is on the horizon! Not for me, though...one of the perks of being a retired teacher *grin*

While yours truly is not heading back into the classroom, two little loves-of-my-life are: my niece and nephew, into Grades 3 and 1, respectively.  This growing up stuff is happening way toooo fast!

I decided to make bookmarks for them...and added a snippet of whimsy (or so I hope), in having the books rather precariously stacked, yet capable of balancing a vase of flowers. Just plain old fun...
