Hello,
Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #647, where our wonderful hostess, Lisa E, has a bright back-to-school (can you believe it! How fast did the summer go!) photo as inspiration. Lots of possibilities to spark ideas: theme, colours, art supplies, stars, apples...
This is the final week for Cathy Roffey, our August guest designer. I'm sure you'll agree that her cards were both delightful and wonderfully inspiring! Thank you, Cathy, for sharing your creativity with us!
Two cards from me, using assorted papers, stickers and die-cuts from Echo Park. One will head to my niece, who'll be in Grade 7 this year (ACK!!!); the other to my nephew, going into Grade 5 (ACK again!). They're growing up way way way tooooo fast!
Looking forward to seeing your takes on this fun photo!

Oh my, it seems like yesterday they were just starting off to school! These are wonderful and encouraging to help send them off for another school year. You are the best auntie ever!
You have inspired me to get some ephemera to use on cards...actually, I need to unbury some that I have! What fun these cards must have been to make! Love them both! The kids will love these when they arrive!
Two terrific back to school cards that are full of fun, Carol! Your niece and nephew will love them!
Carol... what a wonderful pair of cards! Your niece and nephew will love them! I love the little blackboard!
Cute cards and yes so funny that the educators have little supplies! HUGS!
Fun back-to-school cards - that bg [chalkboard] paper is perfect for this challenge!
Two amazing cards, I love them both! Those papers make the perfect backgrounds and love the sentiments in white on the dark backgrounds. That second one with the pencils and the perfect sentiment is so cleaver.
Wonderful cards, love the papers and stickers, the chalkboard design is awesome, Cathy x
Those papers were meant for a challenge like this, Carol. Such adorable cards that I know the kids will love.
Cool card with the blackboard Carol. Great thinking. Fabulously perfect background dp. Your second card is so appropriate too. Love the font - just how I was taught to write
It is amazing they're that old, Carol! Your cards are darling!
