Just Us Girls Challenge #712 - Color Week - You Warm My Heart (Trinity Stamps)

Hello,

Already February 1st! Time's flying!

Welcome to  Just Us Girls Challenge #712, where our lovely hostess, Sue, invites us to use Red, Pink and Neutrals as this week's colour combination. Perfect for Valentine's Day and so many other occasions.

We're delighted to have Denise Morgans joining as our February Guest Designer.

Making its debut is my new Trinity Stamps Warm Hearts collection. This mini set is fabulous: you can colour the images and die cut them or, as I have done, die cut only. How cute is that little heart sporting a toque and scarf! Love it! This one is for my nephew, as black and grey are his hockey team's colours. The hearts and 'my' are from Studio Light.

Looking forward to seeing how Red, Pink and Neutrals inspire you!

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #711 - Anything Goes Stencil Week - Cupcakes Birthday (TE Cake Walk stencils)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #711, where we're launching a *new* challenge theme: Anything Goes Stencil. Given the kazillion stencils in the craft-iverse, we're sure you'll be thrilled to ink yours up and share the results with us. I LOVE stencils!

A warm THANK YOU to Stef Perry, our January Guest Designer, for her fabulous inspiration this month. How quickly the time flies...

I'm featuring another Crop & Create Delivered (Oct. 2023) product: Cake Walk, a stencil + sentiment + die combination from Taylored Expressions. This wasn't one of the cards Taylor taught; I went rogue with mine. The cupcakes are fun, especially with their 'bubbly' sprinkles.

Looking forward to seeing your stencil sensations filling the gallery!

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #710 - Moodboard Week - Flower Press Heart (C and 9th Flower Press Stencil; Just Say More Dies)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #710, where our wonderful Lisa has selected a cozy mood board as inspiration this week.

We're delighted to have Stef Perry joining us once again as our Guest Designer.

I drew inspiration primarily from the colours, the heart and background textures in creating my card.  Grey and brown are obvious. The cookies and skin tone seemed similar, although I'm not sure if I captured them as well as I had hoped in reaching for Dried Marigold. Sighhh...

My design and product choice were inspired by Dilay Nacar's card here. Once I had the idea in my head, I had to see it through...and hopefully, you'll see some level of an aesthetic connection with the mood board.

Looking forward to a gallery filled with cozy!

Thank you for dropping by!

Color Hues Challenge #79 - Copper & Green - Rupert Happy Birthday (TH Rupert, Mini Christmas Icons, C9 Balloons, Honeybee sentiment)

Hello,

Welcome to Colour Hues Challenge #79, where our wonderful hostess, Karen, invites us to combine hues of Copper and Green as inspiration for the next two weeks. A new metallic + plenty of options for green = a fabulous, fun challenge!

We're delighted to have Greta as our guest designer for this challenge.

In a spur-of-the-moment decision - well, actually, to reach a 'free shipping' threshhold - Tim Holtz's Rupert landed in my cart. My bought-on-a-whim purchase would up being a ton of fun! Not only is he quite easy to assemble, but ohmystars! What a cutie! Extra fabulous: 2024 is the Year of the Dragon, so I have big plans for Rupert to star on a few stages over the next while!

Balloons are from Concord & 9th that I jazzed up with some wee xoxo teensy copper die-cuts; the gift is TH Mimi Christmas icons, sentiment is from Honey Bee stamps; the slimline (haven't made any of those in ages!) is Studio Katia. In real life, the copper is VERY shiny!

Hope Rupert brings you a smile!

Looking forward to seeing your Copper and Green creations in the gallery.

The challenge will be open until January 28th @ 9 AM EST!

Inkspirational Challenge #307 - Use Stencils - Calendar Birthday Cards (Taylored Expressions Calendars, Various Stencils, Honey Bee sentiment)

Hello,

Welcome to our first 'official' 2024 Inkspirational Challenge #307 - Use Stencils. We've also included an optional twist to use more than one stencil and/or layering stencils. Given the plethora of stencils we see, this should be easy-peasy!

I finally opened a set of Taylored Expressions' Landscape Calendars that I've had since late October! Nothing like using new products 'right away'! Sheesh...and these aren't the only things awaiting attention! Anyway - my sister-in-law needs a bunch of birthday cards and I figured these would make a nice collection for her (I have more ideas for a second batch). If she chooses, she can personalize them by circling the birthdates of the people receiving them.

A variety of stencils - both single and layered -  from assorted companies came out to play: Uniko, STAMPlorations, Funky Fossil Designs, Scrapbook.com, Taylored Expressions and a couple more. These took a while to make, but I'm pleased with the results. Still need to add them to mini slimline bases but figured I'd share 'as they are' for this challenge.

Looking forward to seeing your stencil sensations in the gallery!

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #709 - Word Week - Sparkle - Ginger Girl Princess (MCT)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #709, where our lovely hostess, Sue, has selected *SPARKLE* as our Word Week inspiration.

Once again, we're delighted to have Stef Perry joining us as our January Guest Designer.

A cutie-patootie card made for a neighbour's daughter. My giant gingerbread girl is sporting plenty of sparkle: her tiara, snowflake, icing piped on her arms and legs and her dress, which is both sparkly white and blue. Hopefully, she'll bring a smile to Juliet's face!

Looking forward to seeing your sparkly sensations in the gallery.

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #708 - Color Week - Teal, Navy & Green - Peace and Love Ornamental Ornament and Birds

Hello,

Happy New Year - and a new year of Just Us Girls challenges. Speaking of 'new', we have a few of those for 2024 as well, which you can read about here

To start us off, Vicki has selected Teal, Navy and Green as inspiration for Just Us Girls Challenge #708 - Colour Week.

All the changes are wonderful, but the one that has me really excited is having a new designer joining the team: the wonderfully creative and sweet Stephanie Lanzalotto of My~Ink~Well. Welcome aboard, Stephanie!

Also joining us is our January Guest Designer, Stef Perry, A warm welcome to you!

I'm still in Christmas mode for a while longer, as some new products arrived too late in the festive season to have play opportunities. This is one of them: an older set from Tim Holtz - Ornamental Birds. Even though I have major bird terror, paper versions are 'okay' - and these, as well as the assortment of ornaments in the collection, are easy to create. I have a bunch die cut and assembled, in various colours, waiting 'in the wings' for a card-ifying opportunity (hopefully soon).

Looking forward to seeing how teal, green and navy inspired you!

Thank you for dropping by!

Color Hues Challenge #78 - Light Blue & Navy - Thinking of You this Holiday Season (TH - Holiday Blocks, Erin Lee sentiment)

Hello,

HAPPY NEW YEAR! May your 2024 be filled with health, happiness, joy, plenty of creative time and, of course, love!

Welcome to Colour Hues Challenge #78, where our talented hostess, Marcia, invites us to draw inspiration from LIGHT BLUE & NAVY over the next two week. Such a pretty combination!
The Holiday Blocks, from Tim Holtz, joined my stash before Christmas - and it was only post-Christmas that I had opportunity to give them a go. All the dies were a little overwhelming at first (still are, actually), but after scoping out inspiration from a variety of designers and cutting out a bunch of pieces (Echo Park papers), I've started making 'some' inroads with the collection. This is the first card I've made...and there will be more, for sure!

Looking forward to seeing how Light Blue and Navy inspire you!

This challenge will be open until January 14th @ 9AM!

The winners will be posted an hour before our next challenge goes live.
The overall winner will have the opportunity to be a
future Guest Designer!

Thank you for dropping by!
