Just Us Girls Challenge #641~Color Week - Coral, Light Grey and Gold...Hi, Hello. How are you doing?

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #641, where our lovely Cecile has selected coral, light grey and gold as this week's colour inspiration. So pretty!
The team and our talented guest designer, Fran Wing, have created some gorgeous cards using this palette. You're in for some amazing inspiration!

Since I adore this design (inspired by Miriam de Vos), I made one with the Hi/Hello die set from Karin Joan's Missees collection. The shadows of the larger die and the delicate script font of the hello make for a wonderful combination.

Looking forward to seeing how coral, light grey and gold inspire you!

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #633~COLOR Week - Coral, Blue and Tan...Hey, Cutie Pie (Pigment Craft Co.)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #633, where our lovely hostess, Bobby, has selected Coral, Blue and Tan as this week's colour inspiration.

Once again, we're delighted to have Deborah Wheeler joining us as our May Guest Designer.

This palette certainly lends itself to beach/lake themed cards, but I headed in a completely different direction. Likely because a) no beaches in our vicinity and b) my La Cucina set from Pigment Craft was calling for a play! This fabulous card by Leica, on IG, was my inspiration, so I full-on cased hers.

Coral, blue and tan: what will YOU create?

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls #628~COLOR Week - Red, Black and White Shopping Cart...Girls Night Out

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge 628, where our lovely hostess, Sue, invites us to use red, black and white as week's colour challenge. So dramatic!

Mac Mable joins us once again as our April guest designer. Her card is ever so lovely, as are those by my teammates.

Brought out my Becky Roberts/Spellbinders shopping cart once again; this time, it's loaded with goodies for a Girls' Night Out. Bottles of wine, gifts, balloons, masks and snazzy stiletto shoes...I think this may be a wild event!  This cart is just way tooooo much fun!

Looking forward to seeing how red, black and white inspire you!

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #620~Color Week - Teal, Orange and Dark Brown...Sweet Donut Card

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #620, where our lovely hostess, Ina, has selected Teal, Orange and Dark Brown as this week's colour inspirations.

I had difficulty with this colour combination for a VERY good reason: too many ideas! My first inklings were to choose something fall-themed or use one of my always reliable turnabouts, but then...my new order from MCT arrived and the decision was made! Donut! A search through my patterned paper yielded this random orange polka-dot piece, which I paired with a teal (although it looks more blue in the photo) grid paper from Photoplay and a background panel of light orange. The donut is, obviously, decorated with decadent dark chocolate icing and creamsicle flavoured orange hearts! I left 'sweet' as the solo sentiment, so I can decide, down the road, what 'sweet' message I want to send.  This donut die set is fun...and you'll see it in action really soon (hint, my next post...).

Please check out the awe-mazing cards made by the design team, then bring your teal, orange and dark brown creations to the gallery!

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #615~Color Week...Light Blue, Silver and White Floral - Sending Hugs Your Way

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #615, where our lovely hostess, Lisa K, has selected Light Blue, White and Silver as this week's colour inspiration. A frosty combination; perfect for the weather here!

Once again, we're delighted to have Stef Perry and Chrissie Stokes joining us as Guest Designers; their cards, as well as those of my teammates, are absolutely lovely!

Finally had a play with my TH/Sizzix Festive Bouquet, bought a while ago. Of late, I've been smitten with the Echo Park/Carta Bella winter collections that have lovely flowers using this very combination, which prompted me to give it a try with these florals and leaves...so glad I did! I used the two lightest blues from Memory Box's Ocean Blue collection and gorgeous silver mirror paper from the Sizzix Opulent collection. STAMPlorations circles cover plate adds a subtle texture to the background.

That's it from me.
Looking forward to seeing your Light Blue, Silver and White creations in the gallery!

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #611~Color Week....Aqua, Brown and Cream...Cozy Winter Bear Happy Holidays

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #611, where our lovely Vicki has select Aqua, Brown and Cream as this week's colour inspiration.

Once again, we're delighted to have Rachel Davis joining as our November Guest Designer. Her card and those of my team showcase an array of possibilities with this pretty combination.

My bear from Tim Holtz' Cozy Winter set has come out for another play; this time, he's sending Happy Holiday wishes.  My background panel is actually ivory but...close enough.  He is such a cutie! The snow is glitter paper, for an extra bit of fun.

Since he's sipping coffee and has a couple extra mugs nearby (either he's chilly and needs several cups of hot beverages, or he's waiting for friends to join him), I'm sharing him at the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.

Looking forward to seeing your Aqua, Brown and Cream creations!

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #606~Color Week...Yellow, Turquoise and Green...Trick or Treat Ghost

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #606, where our lovely hostess, Lisa, has selected this pretty trio of colours as this week's inspiration.

Once again, we're delighted to have Nora as our guest designer this month. Her card and those of my teammates are sure to dazzle.

I have Halloween on my mind, so...I did my best to see if these colours would work for a "spooky" card. I think they did...and sure hope you do, too! (And look...another all-dies card *grin*)

Your turn! Looking forward to seeing how yellow, turquoise and green spark your creativity!

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #602~COLOR Week: Yellow, Orange and Red...Launching the Best Day Ever MemoryDex Card

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #602, where our lovely Nancy has selected Yellow, Red and Orange as this week's palette. Even though these are often considered Fall colours, you'll be impressed with the team's various ways of showcasing them.

Loll Thompson joins us once again as our fabulous Guest Designer with a beautifully inspired card - as are those by my teammates. Please, if you have a moment, do leave them some love.

No 'seasonal' interpretation for me; rather, something from outer space (which is kind of how I feel these days...spacey. LOL). I signed up for a 10 week MemoryDex card class and ohmystars! So many awesome ideas for decorating these small canvases to pretty up a rolodex. And yes, mine is pink! I'm wayyyyy behind in homework, but decided to make this one for both our challenge and the 'layers' assignment from Week 2 (we're on Week 5 as of today). Of course, my MemoryDex cards are more on the simple side than those created by my classmates/instructors, who are so talented in embracing and combining assorted layers, images, sentiments and so forth. Then again, the beauty of our craft is that it encompasses a wide range of styles, all equally as creative. My little rocket makes me smile and that's what matters; hope it brings one to you, too.

That's it from me; looking forward to seeing how Yellow, Red and Orange inspire you!

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #598~Colour Week...Sending Sunshine and Rainbows

 Hello,

I'm delighted to be your hostess for Just Us Girls Challenge #598. We're experiencing cooler temperatures and shorter days here in Alberta; signs that Autumn is on the horizon. Before we embrace Fall colours (and clothes...bring out the warm sweaters and leggings), let's hang on to Summer a bit longer, by playing with a Yellow, Green and Pink palette this week. Feel free to use bright shades or pastels of these three colours - and anything in between!

Once again, we're delighted to welcome Claire Apostoloff as our August guest designer; once again, she's dazzling us with her creativity!

My Concord and 9th rainbow sets were calling for some attention, so I happily listened. I love that the arcs are separate pieces and so easy to stack/assemble. Hard to see in the photo, but I changed up the height of each one, inspired by a recent Jennifer M video I watched: four for the deeper pink, one for yellow, three for green and two for the the light pink. She's right: it does make a difference!

That's it from me; looking forward to seeing how yellow, pink and green inspire you!

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge ##545~Colour Week...Plaid Stencil Thanks So Much

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #545, where our lovely Cecile has selected Mustard, Teal and Light Gray for this week's palette.

Joining us once again is super talented, super sweet Trina Pham, from Phamtastic Designs. She has created an absolutely adorable card with these colours; so imaginative! Please, enjoy gazing at and admiring her sweet card, as well as all the smile-making creations by the rest of the team: Sue, Angie, Vicki, Ina, Bobby, Nancy, Lisa, Maria and Cécile. If you have a chance to leave comments, that would be a real treat.

While the others on the team were super innovative with this colour trio, I, alas, had a creativity slump! So...I went with very simple: my The Stamp Market plaid stencil (first time used...it's awesome), inked with Tropical Teal (TSM) and Mustard Seed (distress ink). And the gray? Those three enamel dots from Your Next Stamp. The sentiment is also from TSM.

Easy, not particularly innovative but...I like it!  What YOU will like will be all the cool interpretations by my teammates!

Looking forward to your mustard, teal and light grey creations! See you in the gallery!

Thank you for dropping by!

I finally took an opportunity to use my MFT Be Original stamps and dies for this week's challenge. Turquoise running shoes? Yes, please! I almost made a few more in other colours, but we'll save those for a share down the road...

That's it from me!
Looking forward to seeing how turquoise, kraft and white inspire you this week!

Concord & 9th's Brighter Days set recently arrived at my place and I couldn't wait to use Lisa's colour scheme for some happy rainbows! The arcs are inked; the sun and clouds, die cut. I had a big ol' smile on my face while making these...and I hope they'll bring a smile to your faces, too!

That's it from me!
Looking forward to seeing how this palette inspires you!

That's it from me!

Looking forward to seeing the gallery filled with Shades of Teal!

Just Us Girls Challenge #510~Colour Week...Booyah!!

Hello,

Hope you had a great week! Ours...hectic!  A trip to Edmonton last Saturday to bring my mom for a long-overdue visit - having her in the house, hanging out with Lily, was fabulous - and brought her back yesterday. We'll spend the weekend - much rushing around as per usual - then home Sunday. Visits and shopping...it's all wonderful.

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #510~Colour Week, where lovely Sue has selected a purple, navy and green palette.

We're thrilled to have Chris Dring joining us as our October guest designer; please check out her wonderful card, along with those from the fabulous JUGS team: Sue, Angie, Vicki, Ina, Bobby, Nancy, Lisa and Maria. They would love to know you dropped by.

Still in Halloween mode - and these cards (four in total; two shared) are a 110% case of one designed by Ashley T, which you can see here.  Hers is way cuter (I skipped a few steps) but I quite like mine none-the-less. Hope you do, too!

My first 'agenda' stamps/dies from ME...more on the wish list!

That's it from me!

Looking forward to seeing  your purple, green and navy creations in the gallery!

Thank you for dropping by!
