Snowflakes and Reindeer....FUSION

Hello,

No, I have NOT finished creating my Christmas cards! Still a few (dozen!) more to go and yes, panic is on the horizon.  Fortunately, our new Fusion~It's Christmas Challenge, with the gorgeous image and friendly sketch, sparked ideas for a couple more cards:

My first card drew inspiration from the patterns on the pretty, pretty, pretty background pillows: snowflakes on the one; the grey of the second.  Fusing them resulted in this card...grey snowflakes using Uniko's Stunning Snowflakes and Altenew grey ink), with pops of Nuvo White Blizzard Drops in their centers. I  need a darker grey cardstock in my collection, because wouldn't this be pretty with white embossed snowflakes?  I digress....

My second card draws from the beautiful arrangement in the foreground: the woodgrain of the container, reflected in my birch embossed background; the deer; the round ornaments, translated into a snowflake; and a bit of 'shimmer', created by a trio of Nuvo droplets.

Joy...absolute joy in seeing this stunning home decor.  Oh, to have this replicated in my own home...

For those of you new to FUSION challenges, and for those good friends returning: a quick outline/reminder of how things work:

PROCEDURES:
1. Play with just the sketch challenge.
2. Play with just the inspiration photo challenge.
3. Or you can create FUSION by combining BOTH challenges into one card.
4. Use the challenge graphic and link back to Fusion in your post.

Your turn!
What sparks your creativity? Sketch? Photo? Both?
Looking forward to seeing how this FUSION challenge will inspire you!

Just a note: this is our last challenge of 2016.  We'll be back in January with an exciting challenge to kick off the New Year!

Gorgeous cards, Carol! I love the colors. I imagine the snowflakes would look lovely on the darker gray, but they look amazing on this lighter one, too. Those Nuvo drops are a great addition. The second card makes me smile imagining a deer cavorting in the trees! I'm totally impressed that you are making cards for Christmas. I don't know how you do it, working all day and still having energy to create cards after! I bow to your stamina! Lucky recipients of your cards, too! Big hugs!! :)

Love both of these fabulous creations!! Sure you have been hit with the white stuff by now as the temps are much cooler and no shortage of precipitation! Squeezing in a comment here, but did enjoy looking at all of the last 8 posts :)

Love the light gray backgrounds on your cards, Carol. With gray snowflakes the card is so elegant and the deer makes the second one a great masculine card.
