Geometric Thank You and Celebrate...Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge~Fluff

Hello,

I'm jittery with excitement in stepping on the stage as a guest designer for Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge~Fluff! Talk about an honour to join this amazing group of talented performers!

The inspiration photo is pure delight: a array of wonderfully patterned pillows in a variety of colours! Blues, greens, corals, yellows...stripes, diagonals, florals, diamonds...A plethora of choices for sparking ideas!

The photo nudged me into sorting through some of my old treasures - from Clearly Besotted, to be precise - to find stamps that resonated with the designs that caught my eye.

My first card, drawing inspiration from the navy/teal/grey diamond-ish shapes on the largest pillow, features one of several stamps from the (now discontinued) Flower Blocks set. I inked them in Memento light blue, navy and teal, added a trio of shiny bling bits and thank you's...Done!

My second card saw a re-emergence of another CB set, Sunburst  My intent was to reflect the peach/coral colour and inset geometric patterns of the top right pillow, but in circle form. I used one ink - Altenew Peach Parfait - adding layers to darken the impression in certain sections. The ivory pearls are a nod to the pillow's creamy background. Hopefully, my connection is kinda-sorta evident...

Thank you, Curtain Call gals, for the chance to play a role in this challenge!  A couple more cards are in the wings, awaiting their turn to join the show...

As a reminder, or for those who are new to this awesome challenge, here's The Script:

The curtain will rise and present new inspiration challenges on the 1st and 15th of each month at 8 a.m. CDT/CST. Please follow these guidelines to make sure we don't miss your Curtain Call submission!
  • Create a new project (card, scrapbook page, 3D item) based on the inspiration photo.
  • Post the new project on your blog or other public gallery that directly mentions and links to the current challenge here at Curtain Call. Feel free to copy and paste the inspiration graphic in your post; however, it is not required.
  • Complete the Inlinkz section using a direct link to your project before the curtain comes down on each challenge.
  • The curtain closes for each challenge after 10 days, so please link your projects by the 10th and 25th at 8 a.m. CDT/CST.
The Lead and Show Stoppers from each challenge will be announced the day before the next challenge.

Hope you'll join me in the *Fluff* inspired gallery!
See you there!

Thank you for dropping by; your visit brings me joy!

Me again...can you possibly slow down on your wonderful creations...I just can't keep up with you :) These are both gorgeous and a brilliant take on that lovely inspiration photo. Like you I am drawn to the blue and tel cushion...scrummy and your card is such a superb match, the peach is lovely and soft and the addition of the pearls and gems just the beautiful final touch. xx
