An opportunity to combine two delightful challenges is one I didn't want to pass by - and judging by the entries in both challenges, plenty of outstanding card-makers were of like mind! My first card (yes, more than one...) blends elements of CAS(E) this Sketch #14 and colours from Muse Challenge #3. With the combination of both challenges inspiring my 'muse,' I couldn't resist: I was compelled to create two more, featuring 'traditional' Valentine colours.
Here's my 'fleet,' already enroute to good homes...
The 'group' shot:
Supplies: Paper - Carta Bella, Authentique, stash card stock; hearts and frame dies, and sentiment stamps - MCT
I had a wonderful time creating my "lots of love" cards! Thank you for the opportunity to share them with you.
I *love* your love cards! I really like the look of the postage stamp die - makes me think of far away lands, packing up my suitcases and going there (wherever "there" may be!).
And the scalloped heart die is just lovely. Almost looks like lace. AND, it's a die you could incorporate into any style of card.
So excited that you have caught the challenge bug - did I mention that it's not a bug that goes away - it starts to become a bit of an addiction!! In fact, I'm going to start my PS SPARKS challenge later tonight! Have you seen it? It's a bit of a tricky one. Sadly, I think I might need a sympathy card for one of my co-workers, so I think that's the direction I will take on that one. You should play along too!
Ohhh, and I have some news to share with you!! I got an email tonight from...guess who...Kim Hughes!!! Eeeeek!!! She was asking me if she could feature one of my cards on the PS blog on Thursday! (um YES!) I had to blink a few times - I thought my eyes were deceiving me! It's a card that I shared on January 13 - butterfly love. It's going to be on the blog on Thursday :)
And thank you for your sweet comments about my pink card and the Happy Chinese New Year wish! I can't believe you were so close to hitting the delete button on your first post! I'm sure glad you didn't!!! I do know what you mean, that first post is nerve-wracking (sp?!) but it gets easier and easier every time! And I wouldn't call the cards zany - more spunky and adorable! Can't wait to see more!
Have a good night!
Fabulous cards - I love those heart dies! Thanks for playing along with us at CAS(E) this Sketch!
So pretty and elegant - I love seeing how they look in different colours! Thanks so much for playing along with this week's CAS(E) This Sketch!
Great takes on the sketch and it's amazing how different each card can look with different colours! Thanks for playing along with CAS(E) This Sketch this week!
