Inkspirational Challenge #277 ~ Designer's Choice - Fireworks...Card inspired by Harry Potter's Weasleys' Wildfire Whiz-Bangs (Missees Men)

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #277, where our much loved, deeply missed Lindsey had selected Fireworks as her Designer's Choice. Let's light up the gallery with our cards/projects in memory of our sweet friend.

 

I have zero fireworks images in my collection, so for this challenge - and yes, it may be a 'stretch' - with something that reminded me of fireworks. I mean, that's what a word *prompt* is all about: literal and/or figurative interpretations!

I'm an avid Harry Potter fan and *fireworks* reminded me of the Weasley twins' Wildfire Whiz-Bangs, launched as part of the rebellion against nasty Dolores Umbridge. According to my research at the Harry Potter wiki, these unstoppable fireworks were charmed to explode when struck with the Stunning Spell, and to multiply by ten when hit with the Vanishing Spell. Cool, right!

So, with that as inspiration, I decided to turn my Missees Man versions of Fred and George into a 6 x6 panel, covered with a magic wands patterned background.  I'll pass this along to my nephew, also an HP fan, and, if he wants, he can write notes/descriptions about the twins. It's my little effort to encourage him to write, something he's not always keen to do. I still have several of my Missees Harry Potter characters to share....I'll get to them...eventually...

Just Us Girls Challenge #656 - Wild Card Week...Gingerbread Wishes Tags (MCT)

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #656 where our wonderful Carol Mc has selected  Holiday Gift Tags as our Wild Card inspiration. I love making tags!

This is the final week with our talented guest Lynne Jardine; thank you so much, Lynne, for your amazing inspiration this month.

My four tags use cutie patootie gingerbread images and papers from MCT's Gingerbread Wishes paper pad. The images were cut from the paper; such a clever stamp/die/paper combination. You can cut the images from the paper or stamp the coordinating image, colour it, and use the die to cut it out. Lots of versatility, for sure! The sentiments are from the same stamp/die set. Tags are also MCT products.

Halloween Treat Sleeves for My Nephew's Hockey Team (MCT, Photoplay, Recollections)...If You Give a Crafter a Cookie Challenge #173, Simply Create Too Challenge #185~Halloween Colours, Two Old Bats October Halloween Challenge

Playing in a few Halloween challenges with the treat sleeves/packages I made for my nephew's hockey team.  These were a blast to make and, even though I was a wee bit worried they'd be too cutesy for a group of 10 year old boys + one girl, my concerns were short-lived. The team manager, and my nephew, said the kids loved them! Happy Aunty c! 

Photos of the sleeves in pairs....all have a treat sleeve base from My Creative Time, alongside other MCT products, with Photoplay, Craft Consortium, Recollections and assorted other companies' stickers/papers playing supporting roles. I wanted each one to be different; I think I came pretty close to doing so.

Joining us as our October Guest  Designer is Lynne Jardine; her little snow couple is sure to bring you smiles! My teammates also have amazing inspiration. If you have a moment to leave some love, I know they'd be delighted.

Pretty obvious what sparked my card; friendship, colours, texture, hearts and, obviously, the two friends. Dies and sentiments are from MCT; embossing folder - Loops - from Spellbinders. Hope these little gingers brighten your day.

Welcome to Color Hues Challenge #51 where our lovely hostess, Cindy, invites us to use hues of Orange and Green as inspiration for the next two weeks.

We're delighted to we welcome Bobby as our Guest Designer for this challenge.

Orange and green, at this time of year, speaks Halloween to me, so I listened! All products are from MCT. I tried the new-to-me pop-up foam from Spellbinders...too much fun! I love his sparkly face!
