STAMPlorations Reminder: November CAS Challenge...Pink & Black Holly and Berries

Hello,

Welcome to my reminder post for the STAMPlorations November CAS Challenge, where the theme is always Anything Goes, with an optional colour twist which, this month is Pink and Black.

Even though the photo offers plenty of inspiration, I wound up discovering, in a wander through pinterest, the Modern Holly card here.  I was smitten and, in a very short time, created my own version using Layered Holly - The Bee's Knees. Crisp, fresh and definitely CAS!

That's it from me; time for you to play along.

• You can find Challenge details here. PLEASE READ as they've been updated.
• If you decide to purchase some of the products I - or other designers have used - head over to the STAMPlorations Online Store (always great deals to be had!)
• To receive an additional 20% off your purchases, I invite you to use my discount code: STAMPGIRLCAROL. AND for November, Shery is offering a special promotion: when you use my code, you also receive a free product ($7 value) of your choice! Go. Shop!  Treat yourself!

Looking forward to seeing your CAS cards in the gallery, with or without the twists!

Thank you for dropping by!

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020~Day 15: Featuring Honey Bee

Welcome  to Day 15 of Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags, where our guest and sponsor is Honey Bee Stamps. One lucky winner will receive a gift certificate to their on-line store. Let me say, after seeing ALL the fabulous tags, I need to do some shopping!

The Merry Lights set is finally making a debut! For the first tag, I did simple stamping of the image then, using the little bulb dies, cut a bunch of lights from glittered cardstock. Quite easy to do and such fun to frame the sentiment with some festive sparkle.

For the second tag, I used the word dies, backed the openings with patterned papers, inked and stamped the wee bulbs and added an ampersand.  Not as 'bold' as its companion, but a wonderful way to get two looks from one stamp/die set.

And one more, featuring a sentiment from Santa Express, embossed onto the Scallop Square Gift Tag (which you've seen me use often during this event. I LOVE it!)

Be sure to visit Tracey's blog to see the AWESOME tags created by the Honey Bee designers, the 2020 Design Team and guest designers. Did I mention I feel a shopping coming on! Bet you will, too!

Inkspirational Challenge #226~Designer's Choice: Frame It...Chubby Snowmen

Hello,

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #226 where I've selected *Frame It* as my Designer's Choice.

A new stamp set arrived in my collection recently and OHMYSTARS! I love x love it! Let me introduce you to two (of three) Silly Snowmen, available at Funky Fossil Designs! These chubby frozen fellas have melted my heart, I tell you! I do wish they came with dies (maybe some day) but I found work-arounds with the frames I selected.

My husband commented that they look like lightbulbs...and I guess they kind of do!

Please check out where this prompt took my teammates, then play along with us!

Just Us Girls Challenge #562~Trend Week: No-Line Watercolouring...Purple Onion Snowman and Bunny

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #562, where lovely Sue has selected 'No-line Watercolouring' as this week's Trend.

We're delighted to have Joyce, from Cards-by-the-Sea fame, joining us for week 2 as our November guest designer. Her card is fabulous, as are those by my teammates. Please head over to the main blog to see the array; then, if  you have a chance to visit and leave comments, that would be truly appreciated!

I have NEVER done this technique before and let me say, this certainly was a challenge, especially because water-colouring was involved! Double scary! Yes, I know that no-line encompasses a wide range of approaches, as Sue mentions on the main blog, but I was bound-and-determined to work with an image that is near-and-dear to my heart (long story, won't bore you).  Alas, my water-colouring isn't up-to-par and lines are still visible, despite using Antique Linen distress ink and doing my best to fade it out.  Sighhhh... The bunny worked out reasonably well, I think.  Anyway, I really gave it my best.  Maybe someday I'll tackle this again...with fade out ink!

If I can sort of manage a no-line-ish, water-colour-ish card, you certainly can, too!

Looking forward to seeing you in the gallery!

Welcome to Day 13 of Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags 202. Hard to believe we're on the second half of the event already! Time flies....

Our guest and sponsor is Paper Sweeties, who are offering one lucky winner a $25 gift certificate to their online store.

My tags use the adorable tree from Stitched Tags 2, that I mixed and matched with white cardstock and some lovely light blue shimmer cardstock from Tonic Studio's White Wonderland. Simple and sweet.

I was given the wonderful gift of Skating Bunnies from Pinkfresh Studio (THANK YOU!) and oh my goodness! They are so much fun!  Two bunnies are practicing their figure skating routines on the oval 'rinks' (also PFS).

Two more bunnies wound up on an accompanying card...and I have another card that will make an appearance at some point. I tell you, these bunnies are a bit addicting!
