Just Us Girls Challenge #502~Photo Week...Mini Card Floral Thanks

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #502~Photo Week, where our talented Bobby has selected this gorgeous image to inspire us.

We're thrilled to have Tristan joining us once again as our August guest designer. Check out her wonderful card, along with those from the fabulous JUGS team: Sue, Angie, Vicki, Ina, Bobby, Nancy, Lisa and Maria. They would love to know you dropped by.

All those beautiful flowers inspired me, particularly the pretty roses on the white china. I have a teacup/saucer very much like it...a treasured heirloom from my Grandma on my dad's side. In fact, I have a variety of cups/saucers that she collected over the years...and when we were kids, she served cocoa in them for us. Spoiled? Oh, definitely! (Along with the cocoa came toast fingers - toast cut into strips, covered with honeybee syrup - a couple potato chips and three cheezies. Best. Breakfasts. Ever!)

I used the absolutely darling Scalloped Notecard dies from The Stamp Market, paired with gorgeous papers from Cocoa Vanilla Studio, to make my mini cards (3 X 4). Thanks, Welcome, Congrats and Friend dies are also part of the set. Perfect to make quick pretties!

Looking forward to a gallery filled with your photo-inspired cards/projects!

Thank you for dropping by!

Loved reading your post, and seeing how this card inspired you and brought back happy childhood memories! I wish I had memories of my childhood....I don't know why, but I just don't. Makes me a tad worried there is something wrong. Anyways, your cards are lovely too!

Oh those breakfasts sound delightful! My grandpa used to make me fancy pancake breakfasts as well. I cherish those memories! Your mini cards are so pretty. How fun to make different size cards!

Beautiful cas mini cards Carol. Simply stunning. Loved reading about the tea cups and 'unusual' breakfast. Wonderful memories for sure.

Your cards are beautiful with the soft floral backgrounds and scalloped edge! Love the sentiments on those ribbon banners, too. What wonderful memories you have of your grandmother using her tea cups.

The papers are beautiful, Carol, and I love them with the banners to place the die cut sentiments on.
