Sunbursts x 3...Colour Me #67~Subtle, ColourQ #287, FUSION~Elegance, Simon Says Monday&Wednesday Challenges

Happy Sunday, to all,

The skies are blue, the birds are chirping, the peaks of the Three Sisters mountains, though still dressed in snow in spots, are bathed in sunlight: a most pretty morning indeed.

I was a chore-whirlwind much of yesterday (do you remember the Tasmanian Devil character from the Bugs Bunny cartoons? Yep that was me, minus the growls...well, maybe a little bit *grin*), cleaning up, baking up, pizza-dough rising up, and even a bit of crafting up.  My husband came home, a tad travel weary, but still able to carry out our homemade pizza tradition for Saturday evening.  He also came bearing gifts: a cherry pie made by his mom. Yummm!

While he was away, some of my crafting orders arrived (yes...I've done a wee bit of shopping of late...) and I *had* to play with one set, in particular - Clearly Besotted's Sunburst (crushing over, smitten by and in love with these images!) -  to create three cards for a few different challenges.

First up, inspired by Colour Me #67

Second, inspired by FUSION~Elegance

NOTE;  Honoured and delighted that Kimberly selected my card for FUSION Honourable Mention!  THANK YOU!!

Third, inspired by ColourQ #287~

The thanks looks 'flat' in my photo, but it's actually triple layered, standing out from the background.

I'm also off to:
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge~Make Your Own Backgrounds (Cards #1 and 3)

Simon Says Monday Challenge~In the Middle (smaller images are stamped *in the middle* of larger ones...hope that counts)

Wishing you a wonderful Sunday and THANKS so much for dropping by! Your visit and comments add sparkle to my day!
Hugs,

These are just gorgeous sweetie but my eyes are drawn to the black and white one, funny as I usually go towards pinks, maybe as I am a girl lol, hope you enjoyed your cheery pie, big happy hugs love Pops x

Yum. Cherry pie. My favorite. ;) You showed how versatile a stamp set can be by just changing the colors and the arrangement of the images. You have three great cards there, Carol.

Pink and green is one of my favorite colour combos to use and you aced it on the first card. Adore red, white and black cards too - they always make such a statement - great cards! If you didn't growl then I'm sure you were panting like Taz does after his whirlwind spins LOL! Love that character. Good on you for getting lots done and no doubt cleaning up youe crafting area prior to hubby's arrival or no pie for you wink, wink :) Yeah for sunshine too!! Must be a simply glorious sight to see those mountain peeks of white against a blue sky - we are so spoilled with the breath taking scenery in this part of the world. 18C here today and simply gorgeous! soooo hard not to be out there planting my flower beds and planters - just a bit too early yet. Three more weeks and then I'm good to go and can't wait for pops of colour all over the place as I just LOVE flowers :) :) :)

Love, love, love when I can see the same card theme in different formats and colors! And wow- you did an amazing job on each card! Each one is so unique and you've done those stamps proud! Also jealous of the homemade pie. ;) You have a great eye for design and I love how you positioned the stamp images on each card. The color palettes are dreamy, too! Excellent work and I'm so glad you shared these with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!

Fantastic work, Carol! I can see why you are crushing on this set. Wow! Great color choices. Your stamping makes each of the cards unique and so visually interesting. Yay for getting the chores done so you could enjoy some crafty time. (Yes, I most certainly remember that little devil-kids today have missed out on some classic cartoons). Bet that pie was scrumptious!

So exciting to see how you can use one stamp set and change up the colors and the styling and then create three marvelous masterpieces!! Wow - and I am so inspired by this and wondering what stamp set I have that I could do something like this with!! What awesome proof that you are an incredible card maker and so adaptable in your designs!! Kudos to you, my lovely, lovely friend!!

Geri said...

WOWZERS....times 3!!! These are magnificent! Your images are all perfectly placed to create a stunning, beautifully balanced design! No doubt about it, ya got the eye for design! It's amazing how the colors change the mood of the card...from a 'celebrate' spring (?) color theme in your first card, to a 4th of July type of smile event, to a more masculine 'thanks' with your last card!

I think you must be an energiser bunny! You did all that AND created three knock out cards! Amazing, C!
