Inkspirational Challenge #258~Photo Challenge...Roses Envelope Special Delivery Valentine Card (MCT)

Time for a new challenge over at Inkspirational and, being that February is the month of love, we have this lovely roses wreath as our photo inspiration. Oh, to have that beauty adorning one of the doors in our house....gorgeous! 

In the circles of card-making land that I visit frequently, I've seen a variety of cards that present a stylized version of a one-layer card; namely, a solid panel with a 'something' on the front that opens as a mini-card. No need for a full card base, as the front image allows space for a message. I'm all for avoiding card bases (mainly because I can never get them straight!), so this new format works for me!

Here, I've used Bo Bunny patterned paper and an envelope/mini card combination (My Creative Time) for the front.  You can see the mini card's sentiments in the photos below.

Super easy to make, not bulky and straight edges! LOVE it!

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #618, where our lovely hostess, Cécile, has selected *Friends* as this week's word inspiration. 

Finally had a play with some of the Missees' Pet collection and for this challenge, Funny Bunny is receiving star billing. He is soooo cute, with his itty bitty running shoes and big birthday gift. He makes me smile! The other pets will have their opportunity on the stage soon...stay tuned!

HLS February 2022 Christmas Challenge~Anything Goes (optional: Snowflakes)...Merry Christmas Stocking

Time to introduce Happy Little Stamper's February 2022 Challenge, where Anything Goes is always a choice, with an optional twist which, this month, is Snowflakes. Plenty of real ones around here! 

Once again, I've reached for my Stockings Cover die (the stocking is part of the card base here) to create my card and paired it with red mirror cardstock and a snowflake paper background from Photoplay.  So simple, once you get the hang (get it *grin*) of how the stocking/base work together.

HLS February 2022 CAS Challenge~Inky...Hello, Dear Friend (Alcohol-Ink Modern Frame from C and 9th)

Welcome to Happy Little Stampers February 2022 CAS Challenge, where we're inviting you to get INKY this month! Talk about fun!

I've had this set from Concord & 9th for ages (seriously...ages!) and finally decided it was time to play. A quick rummage through scraps of alcohol inked panels I've made yielded enough to create a couple of floral sprigs to adorn the double cut frame. So easy when bits and pieces come together nicely!

Color Hues Challenge #34~Red and Black...Phone Booth Hello and Phone Booth Card (Snow in the City collection)

WOW...February 1st already! Time for Color Hues Challenge #34, where Karen is inviting us to use hues of Red and Black for the next two weeks. A dramatic combination for so many occasions.

I've used my Elizabeth Craft Phone Booth Kit, meant to be a journal/album, to create a slimline card, simply by not using the planner dies. Loads of versatility with this collection; I just need to do more playing.

While making the phone booth, I remembered my gorgeous Ciao Bella *Snow in the City* collection. I've made an album with a good selection of the papers (not shared as yet), but have an assortment of pieces that are perfect for cards/tags. This image here: one of my favourites. I thought it went nicely with my phone booth, so a pairing was made.

Looking forward to how Red and Black inspire you!
