HLS February 2022 Christmas Challenge~Anything Goes (optional: Snowflakes)...Merry Christmas Stocking

Hello,

Time to introduce Happy Little Stamper's February 2022 Challenge, where Anything Goes is always a choice, with an optional twist which, this month, is Snowflakes. Plenty of real ones around here!

Once again, I've reached for my Stockings Cover die (the stocking is part of the card base here) to create my card and paired it with red mirror cardstock and a snowflake paper background from Photoplay.  So simple, once you get the hang (get it *grin*) of how the stocking/base work together.

Looking forward to your Merry Christmas makes in the gallery!

HLS January 2022 Christmas Challenge...Anything Goes...Snowman Treat Sleeves

Hello,

Welcome to Happy Little Stampers January 2022 Christmas Challenge, where this month's theme is ANYTHING GOES!

I've made two treat sleeves - sleeve die, labels and sentiments from My Creative Time - each sporting cute snowpeople from Your Next Stamp. I figured they'd be a good way to try to get back into the copic colouring groove...

Looking forward to seeing your festive delights in the gallery!

HLS December 2021 Christmas Challenge~Anything Goes (optional: Toys)...Made By Elves Trifold Mini Pocket Album

Hello,

Welcome to Happy Little Stampers December 2021 Christmas Challenge, where Anything Goes is always the theme, with the choice of an option which, this month, is TOYS. FUN!!

I've recently become somewhat intrigued by various mini albums/folios that I see popping up here and there, so I tried my hand at one, following this tutorial at Polly's Paper Studio. In a nutshell, papers are cut/assembled to create a booklet: a cover, an 'inside' of three pocket and mini card pages, a 'back' pocket and mini card page and the overall back cover. I know: that makes no sense, so I'll let the tutorial and my photos do the explaining.

I used Craft Consortium's awesome Made By Elves collection for my album; the hardest part was making the decision to actually cut into these lovely, sweet pages! I used an Elizabeth Craft Designs pocket die, which was easier than trying to make the one shown in the video (adaptations, right).

Cover...using decoupaged images

Each pocket features a mini card with a front image and three patterned images.

and the inside/back papers used for the rest of the card.

and papers for the remainder of the card.

The next three photos show:

The album spread flat: cover on the right, back cover in the middle and the 4th pocket page on the left.

The inside pages, with the cards tucked into the pockets:

WHEW!  Lots of photos! I have more of these in the works, simply 'because'! Fun and easy to make, really! While they can be used as photo albums (small pictures on the mini cards), I think they make for a 'dressed up' Christmas card!

HLS November 2021 Christmas Challenge~Anything Goes (optional: Make A Scene)

Hello,

Welcome to Happy Little Stampers November 2021 Christmas Challenge, where Anything Goes is always the theme, with an optional twist that, this month, is Make A Scene.

I have a subscription to STAMPlorations Paper Goods and ohmystars! The products I've ordered/received have been nothing shy of stellar. Today, I'm sharing a wintry scene created with images from the Christmas Ephemera sets. So easy to make cards with these adorable images! I added a flurry of die-cut snowflakes from Lawn Fawn and a sentiment from MFT.  The mini slimline panel is Photoplay.

That's it from me; please head to the blog to check out my talented teammates' festive delights.

HLS October 2021 Christmas Challenge~Anything Goes (optional twist: JOY)...Polar Playtime Joy

Hello,

Welcome to Happy Little Stampers October 2021 Christmas Challenge, where Anything Goes, with the optional twist of *Joy*.

As you have likely guessed, I've become smitten with designer papers and assorted ephemera of late and this collection from Craft Consortium - Polar Playtime - is beyond adorable! In fact, so adorable that cutting in to it was a challenge! Here, is a section of one of the pages of the 6x6 pad (and yes, I also have the 12x12). Aren't these little penguins darling?  Joy is cut from sparkle paper.

I used a second section for a little matchy-matchy tag:

This collection also comes with decoupage elements; looking forward to giving those a try!

Happy Little Stampers September 2021 Christmas Challenge~Anything Goes (optional twist: Non-Traditional)...Christmas Roses Peace

Hello,

Welcome to Happy Little Stampers September 2021 Christmas Challenge. Anything Goes is always the theme, with an optional twist which, this month, is Non-Traditional. You'll see a wonderful mix of both choices on the main blog.

I went incredibly simple with a very traditional card (I know...being a rebel!). Gorgeous Christmas Rose papers from P13, paired with a gold die cut sentiment from PhotoPlay. I have plenty of this paper so more versions of this are on my agenda!

That's it from me; please head over to the blog to see my talented teammates' festive delights.

Reindeer....Happy Little Stampers January 2019 Christmas Card Challenge~Anything Goes (optional twist: REINDEER)

Hello,

I'm absolutely thrilled to be joining the Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge design team; now, I won't have any excuses for 'late' Christmas cards!

To launch the New Year, we're offering an 'optional twist' to the usual Anything Goes fare: reindeer.

Definitely went with the twist for my cards...using a gorgeous stamp from Woodware that I purchased last February, after seeing the stunning card created by ever-so-talented Shirley B, here.  As we know, I'm pa-thet-ic with watercolour, so I opted to use my zigs a la copic-ish style to colour the deer. The background: distress inks with a splatter of white paint/water.

Just a few more versions. I made about 15, total, as part of my mass-production of late Christmas cards. A bit of an design oops in the version seen below in not leaving a snowy ground but...oh well. We'll just consider the deer 'magically' afloat *grin*

Simple stamping, with a wee bit of masking to vary the colour of the snowflakes.

Here, a distress inked deer + background.

That's it from me; please head over to the blog to see how  my talented teammates interpreted this month's theme.
