HLS December 2021 Anything Goes with Dies Challenge~Advent Calendar Tags (Version 2)

Hello,

Welcome to Happy Little Stampers December 2021 Anything Goes with Dies Challenge.

I made another Advent Tags Calendar, this time using Pretty Pink Post tags, along with numbers and Christmas ephemera from STAMPlorations! These images are so cute! The sentiments come from a variety of sources: STAMPlorations, Paper Smooches, Jillian Vance Design, Happy Little Stampers, Your Next Stamp and a couple others. This calendar took less time to make than my previous one here, but the JOY in doing so was the same: super high!

(apologies for wonky photo sizing...)

That's it from me! Check out what my talented teammates have created, then bring out

your dies and join us in the gallery!

Ellen Hutson 12 Tags of Christmas 2021...Days 1 - 6

Hello,

Playing tag with the wonderful, talented designers from Ellen Hutson for the 12 Tags of Christmas 2021 event . I LOVE tags!

Inspired by Day 1: Christmas in a Coffee Shop

Inspired by Day 2: Puppy for Hanukkah. I transformed Donny Dog, from the Missees Pet Collection, into a white and black version of Lily, my miniature schnauzer! I love her!!

Inspired by Day 3: Feliz Navidad

Inspired by Day 4: Let it Snow

Inspired by Day 5: I'll Be Home For Christmas

Inspired by Day 6: Jingle Bells

Edited to add: I've been asked the source of the background paper for this tag and to be honest, I have no idea! Purchased YEARS ago as a package of single 6 x 6 sheets. I'll see if I can find it...

HLS December 2021 Stencil Challenge~Anything Goes...Starry Joy

Hello,

Welcome to Happy Little Stampers December 2021 Stencil Challenge, where Anything Goes is always the theme.

I felt a glittery-moment the other day, so I brought out a pretty Memory Box stencil and fancied it up with Gina K Glitz Glitter Gel. Gold sparkle paper worked wonderfully with my Photoplay Joy. Simple to make...and sooo sparkly!

Head over to the main blog where you'll see sensational stencil delights from my teammates.

Hope you'll join us; looking forward to seeing which stencils from your collection you'll be sharing with us!

HLS December 2021 Christmas Challenge~Anything Goes (optional: Toys)...Made By Elves Trifold Mini Pocket Album

Hello,

Welcome to Happy Little Stampers December 2021 Christmas Challenge, where Anything Goes is always the theme, with the choice of an option which, this month, is TOYS. FUN!!

I've recently become somewhat intrigued by various mini albums/folios that I see popping up here and there, so I tried my hand at one, following this tutorial at Polly's Paper Studio. In a nutshell, papers are cut/assembled to create a booklet: a cover, an 'inside' of three pocket and mini card pages, a 'back' pocket and mini card page and the overall back cover. I know: that makes no sense, so I'll let the tutorial and my photos do the explaining.

I used Craft Consortium's awesome Made By Elves collection for my album; the hardest part was making the decision to actually cut into these lovely, sweet pages! I used an Elizabeth Craft Designs pocket die, which was easier than trying to make the one shown in the video (adaptations, right).

Cover...using decoupaged images

Each pocket features a mini card with a front image and three patterned images.

Inside of page one with the front of the first mini card...

and the inside/back papers used for the rest of the card.

Front cover of inside pocket card 2

and papers for the remainder of the card.

Pocket page 4

The next three photos show:

The album spread flat: cover on the right, back cover in the middle and the 4th pocket page on the left.

The inside pages, with the cards tucked into the pockets:

WHEW!  Lots of photos! I have more of these in the works, simply 'because'! Fun and easy to make, really! While they can be used as photo albums (small pictures on the mini cards), I think they make for a 'dressed up' Christmas card!

Color Hues Challenge #31~Red and Green...Advent Calendar Tags

Hello,

And here we are: December already! Where has the time gone!

Welcome to Color Hues Challenge #31, where Cindy, our fabulous hostess, has chosen hues of Red & Green for us to play with until December 29th! Lots of time to join in!

I made an Advent Tags calendar! All 24 of the tags are the same size (sorry the photos may not reflect that) and feature an assortment of die-cut numbers, along with bits-and bobs of scrap paper, stickers, die-cuts, ephemera...whatever I had that was red and green (plus neutrals). The tags are attached, with a wee bit of magnetic tape, to the backside of 2.5" tins I found at Michaels. Once they're detached from the tins, I can get the tins back (because this calendar will go to either my niece or nephew - I've made a second calendar that I'll share soon) to reuse them for another event. Yes, this took a fair amount of time to make but what a great way to set my Christmas spirit soaring!  The absolute best-est-est part of this calendar was giving it to my niece in person, when she and my brother visited on Sunday on their way home from her ringette tournament.

Tin and backside of tag with magnet.

Please check out the stunning creation from teammates and our guest designer!

An array of WOW!

Looking forward to seeing a gallery filled with Red and Green.

STAMPlorations December 2021 CAS Cards Challenge~Anything Goes (optional twist: Metallic + 1 other colour)...For the Love of All Things Merry and Bright Ornaments

Hello,

Welcome to STAMPlorations December 2021 CAS Card Challenge, where Anything Goes is always the theme, with an optional twist that, this month, is Metallic + 1 Other Colour.

I actually used the twist this time! Yayyy! My tree ornaments - Christmas Baubles #1 Layering Die, Christmas Baubles #2 Layering Die - are cut from lovely shimmery silver cardstock (Sizzix) and paired with paper from Craft Consortium's Ink Drops *Vivid* collection. One of my favourite sentiments from one of my all-time favourite STAMP sets - Warm Hands, Warm Heart - finishes it off. Simple to make...and I may well do that as the card-making rush looms closer!

That's it from me; time for you to play along.

• You can find Challenge details here. PLEASE READ as they've been updated.
