My wonderful friend, Ardyth, sent me die-cuts of this lovely ornament and oh my! I fretted for quite a while about how best to showcase this 'one chance'!  Finally, I decided to go with simple gold embossing of two of the layers. I was definitely holding my breath as I waved my heat gun over the powder! Fortunately, all worked out a-okay...and I have a shimmery gold bauble tag to add to my collection!

I've used Eskimo Kisses for my tags and if you HURRY, the bundle is on sale for a stellar price! Cuteness galore in that stamp/die set and they're so easy to colour! Yesterday, I shared that I had used my Zigs; today, my images feature Distress Ink watercolouring! I know...me...watercolouring! I might be on the road to embracing this medium...might be!  I've found some paper that works for me, sooooo...could be expanding my horizons.

I reached for Snowflake Serenade to create my tag, embossing the swirly-twirly flakes with a 'specialty' embossing powder from Alberta's own Emerald Creek: Turquoise Sparkle. It is soooo pretty and definitely sparkly! A sentiment from Stunning Snowflakes and voila...done. Elegant whimsy...or whimsical elegance...either way, this stamp/sentiment pairing is *snow* much fun!

Just Us Girls Challenge #561~Trend: Triangle...Gnome Christmas

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #561, where our wonderful hostess, Vicki, has selected *triangles* as this week's word prompt.  

We're delighted to welcome Joyce, from Cards-by-the-Sea fame, as our November guest designer. Her card is fabulous, as are those by my teammates. Please head over to the main blog to see the array; then, if  you have a chance to visit and leave comments, that would be truly appeciated!

Finally, finally, finally...after a nearly year-long wait, my Simon Says Stamps gnome is making his debut...twice! I now know why he's so wildly popular: he's fun and so easy to assemble! His outfit, the background papers and sentiments (stickers) are from Photoplay, as are the *new* size of panels I'm using: the 'mini' slimlines. Photoplay recently released a series of sets - which they've aptly named #6 - and I 'may' have invited a couple or three into my collection. Lots of layering and mixing-matching opportunities. I've definitely fallen head-over-heels for slimlines, be they the regular or the smaller versions. The bonus with these: card bases and envelopes suited to the size! SCORE!
