Hello,
Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #578, where our lovely Angie invites us to add stripes to our cards/projects this week. Thin, wide, horizontal, vertical...bring on those stylish stripes!
We're pleased to have Claire Apostoloff as our April guest designer. Smiles guaranteed when you see her nifty 50 take on stripes; do drop by her blog and leave her some love. As for my teammates: a whole lot of sensational stripes from them as well.
Super simple stripes on my card - that make up for the slightly more time-consuming act of creating the gamer console (MFT Level Up stamps and Game Controller die). Those teensy 'buttons' are the most finicky; by the time I get them where they belong, they've spent time lost on the floor, or stuck to my tweezers, or static-clung (clinged?) to my fingers. I know I should use my Die Cut 'n Bond for itty bit die cuts but nooooo...Lessons still to be learned. At any rate, everything came together and yep, I have stripes!
That's it from me; looking forward to seeing your take on Stripes this week!
Thank you for dropping by!

Game on! This is a fabulous card. Oh golly, half the fun of crafting is trying to track down the piece that was there just a second ago isn't it?? No? Just me then? LOL Thanks for sharing. Have a happy day! And it will be if you don't have to track down paper controller pieces, right? LOL
Your description cracked me up and brought memories of my many card making dilemmas! This is so cute and great use of the idea of stripes!
Love the unique stripes - and this card! So excellent for that nephew of yours ;)
LOL, You may have struggled and gave me such a chuckle but it was so worth it. At least I think it was! A fabulous way to incorporate stripes! I love your creativity and way of thinking.
Love how you incorporated the stripes with the sentiments! Love you game controller, too even though is was painstakingly tedious to put together! I have this controller, too and have only made it once, lol!
Yes I need to learn to use my double-sided sticky too, Carol. This is so cute! I can hear in my head a game I used to play that would say "Level Up!"
Cool card Carol. Great layout with those amazing striped background. I bet you had 'fun' with those itty bitty bits hehe. Great take on our stripe challenge.
I'm still chuckling over your description for creating this card. I can SO relate to all those fiddly pieces being lost, cut, and re-cut and finally put where they belong! LOL Your card turned out fantastic in spite of the process, and it's a perfect card for a teen gaming whiz! Love the stripes!
