Pencil-colour Blooms...Inkspirational Challenge #62 - Designer's Choice, Paper Crafting Challenge #15: Get Krafty ; Colour Me #31: Creative, ColourQ #252

Hello and Happy Saturday!

Today, I'm delighted to invite you to join us in the new Inkspirational Challenges #62: Designer's Choice.  Design team member, Nonni, who is ultra creative and an amazing colourist, is challenging us to put our marker and pencil skills on display.

Joining us as Guest Designer is one of my sweet blogging friends, GretaHer ability to embrace allllll kinds of techniques and play in a wide variety of challenges, is ever so inspiring.  Check out the beautiful card she's shared with us, then head over to her blog, where you'll see the array of her talents. She's amazing!

Please visit the DT as well; they have some dazzles and delights that will *wow* you. For sure you'll be reaching for your markers and pencils....

On our recent Bend Oregon venture, I bought a set of 24 Prismacolor pencils (Hobby Lobby 40% off coupon!), so with tools on hand, I was ready to jump in and wield those newcomers. Given this was a 'first time' experiment, I made a duo of tag-note cards (a Plan B, just in case) each featuring a single flower and sentiment from STAMPlorations.  I so enjoyed colouring these big boxed blooms, and did my best to 'blend' (gamsol on the shopping list).  The Prismacolors (or as I prefer to call them: Prismacolours....need that "u"), were fun to work with 'as is.'  Maybe I'll try water-colouring with them eventually...maybe (this technique and I are on the outs at present).  For now, I'm going to focus on colouring, shading, blending...

I'm entering this one

to Colour Me #31: Creative (my lily is a combination of pinks and yellows, blended, paired with pink/yellow cardstock)

and this one

Hope you'll add your Marker or Pencil card to the challenge; I'm looking forward to seeing your fabulous, inspired creations!

NOTE: Honoured and delighted to have my cards selected at Paper Crafting Challenge #15. THANK YOU!!

Thanks so much for dropping by; your visit and comments add sparkle to my day!

Beautiful job with the pencils!! Thank you also for your nice words about me. Boxed Blooms are great for tags and your shading looks lovely! I share your thoughts about water coloring... Water is so UNRELIABLE! :)

Wow, awesome colouring (with a u!) and blending, Carol ... love the die cut over the tag too ... deliciously crisp and texture-y! Could you let me know which die it is ... I just know there's one of them longing to come and play at my house! Hugs, Anita :)

Love that you have made a couple of gorgeous tags instead of the usual card. And your colouring looks fantastic!

Oh Carol what wonderful colouring, I just bought this set of boxed blooms but have yet to stamp them up but you have really showed them off here, they are so good as tags. I don't make tags, perhaps need to invest in a tag die and get I to it x

I'm finally finding a minute or two to do a quick visit to all my pals to see the fun I've missed these past few days!

Gotta say a huge WOW....you are definitely making use of your summer days off....amazing cards Carol! I feel so bad about not visiting daily, but between the yard and the flip house renovations...poof - the day is gone!

PS...your prisma pencil coloring is AMAZING...

Two super pretty projects! I'd strongly suggest getting some Gamsol. Your blending results are already good, but with some gamsol, it will be so much easier. I tried it both ways and once I used gamsol, I never went back. Have fun with the pencils!

The colors are wonderful, Carol & so is your coloring! I've had pencils for years but mostly they sit in the drawer, for good reason--LOL! The embossed backgrounds are the perfect backdrop for your blooms! Thanks for your kind words, my friend!

Super amazing and beautiful tags, Carol! They're so eye-catching and you colored those blooms with the Prismacolor pencils like a pro!!! Can't stop staring at these tags, and I'm salivating over the embossed background! Pinning these tags!!

Hello, Carol, I found you through Inkspirational Challenge Blog. I love your tags! I love the warm colours you chose, brown and red, and how you colored the flowers. The fake stitching on the two little squares is one of my favourite elements in all crafts. And, last but not least, the main thing I noticed in the challenge blog is the texture of the tags! I love your embossing!
Hugs,

Mariangela
