Donna Mikasa Inspired Thanks...CASE Study 4th Anniversary #2

Yes, I'm a posting-piglet today (oink...). I'll blame it on the 'reality' that I'm back to work next Monday, so need to do what I can, while I can, when I can...

Sleeping Mr. Mojo awakened long enough to send me in pursuit of casing Donna Mikasa's colourful circles card she created as part of CASE Study's 4th Anniversary Week #2 challenge

Pretty - absolutely; happy colours - oh yes; simple to recreate - just rows of circles, right?  Not! Let's just say I learned plenty; discarded several a couple fails' decided that one-layer was not going to happen; subsequently Lil' Inker rectangle (again...my 'go to' dies) matted a salvaged, not 'totally' askew section and here I am, skittering in madly, to get this posted before Mr. Linky closes.  After all that effort, and despite its flaws, this baby's getting posted! Actually, the more I glare gaze at it, the better it looks.  A few sparkles might help, but for now, its going in as is.  Maybe I should use grid lines next time (as per the instructions Yana shares in the video Donna linked to. You think??  Dim me...), because this truly has all kinds of possibilities...with colours and other shapes.

Anyway, here it is...

And to all of you who are visiting: thanks a super lot for putting up with my posting-stravaganza! So appreciated!

Thanks so much for dropping by; your visit and comments add sparkle to my day!

Donna's card is truly inspiring & I love your version, Carol! I'd never be able to make it 1 layer--the Lil' Inkers die is perfect here!

Lovely card, super happy colours and I can see that it would not be straightforward. BUT it's brilliant!!..........and reassuring to know that I am not the only one that struggles sometimes!

Way to persevere (even after you didn't follow directions!!) This type of thing would scare me - I would be sure towards the end that one stamp wouldn't stamp or, heaven forbid, I would drop the inked stamp on the pattern. You did well!!

Well done Carol the end result was worth all that effort. :)

I think your card looks amazing Carol! Not sure where you were having problems at because it sure doesn't look like you had any problems. Your CASE card looks as amazing as the original to me and I am loving it. It amazes me what you guys can do with just a plain circle stamp! Hugs my friend, Brenda

I love how your card turned out! You don't know how many times it took me, or how many ended up in the wastebasket. Thanks for CASEing my card. I hope you had fun!

Well hello again!!! A few minutes of free time and there's no other way I would rather spend it than oogling at a few more of your creations!!! What a beautiful rendition of Donna's card! I like that you layered it a bit. For some reason I struggle so much with one layers myself! The colours are fun and really just lovely together and the bold "thanks" anchors the card perfectly! Another A+++!!!
