STAMPlorations October CAS Card Challenge Reminder Post~Anything CAS Goes (Optional Colour Twist: Grey + Orange)...Blossom Spray Notecard

Hello,

Welcome to my STAMPlorations October CAS Challenge Reminder Post, where Anything Goes is always the theme, with an optional colour twist which, this month, is Grey + Orange.

My easy-to-create card features the lovely Blossom Sprays 3, stamped over a new product in the shop: Flexi Template: Ovals. It is soooo cool and 'flexi' it is! Do check it out.  Once my panel was done, I cut it using the Crazy Double Running Stitching Nesting Rectangle Dies.  No sentiment this time; the inside will mark the occasion.

That's it from me; time for you to play along.

Twofer Card Challenge #32~Silhouette~Guest Designer....Mermaid I Believe In You & Wishing You A Wonderful Birthday

Hello,

Today, I'm super excited (and a wee bit nervous!) to be guest designing for the wonderful stretch-your-creativity-and-your-products Twofer Card Challenge #32!

This month's challenge is so much fun: SILHOUETTES! Oh, the possibilities!

I recently invited a new mermaid die into my collection and oh, how pretty she is! For Card #1, I used a Studio Katia slimline die, creating an ocean scene for the mermaid, who I die-cut with Deco-Foil paper and then foiled with Rainbow Shattered Glass. She shimmers beautifully The delicate frame was also foiled in the same fashion. A scattering of Studio Katia iridescent bubbles completes the design and the sentiment makes clear (I hope) that this is an encouragement card. My niece loves mermaids soooo...we know who'll be receiving this one.

For my second card, I cut the mermaid from turquoise mirror cardstock and again, used Studio Katia products to create the shaker shell.  A piece of alcohol-inked paper creates the ocean background; the birthday sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.

And here is my TWOFER...

with a second version...just because!

Thank you ever so much, Darnell, and the rest of your amazing team, for inviting me to join you this month; I'm truly honoured!

The challenge runs through to October 24th, so you have plenty of time to play along!  Looking forward to seeing your Silhouette Twofers in the gallery!

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #557~Trend Week...Ombre Halloween Ghosts Slimline

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #557, where Lisa, this week's hostess, has selected OMBRE as our Trend Week theme.

Once again, we're delighted to have Karen Walker as our guest designer, with a lovely ombre green stripes card. It's a 'must see', as are all those by my teammates:  Sue, Angie, Vicki, Ina, Bobby, Nancy, Lisa, and Maria. If you have a chance to leave comments, that would be wonderful!

My card is 110% a case inspired by super talented @e_emilsson (instagram); her ability to transform a single stamp/die set into several innovative versions is amazing. She certainly knows  how to maximize her products!  When I saw one of her Halloween cards (I can't give a link with new Blogger, sighhhh), I knew I had to replicate it because a) it's adorable and b) I'm in full-fledged Halloween mode.  What you see are three little ombre background scenes, using a mini Tim Holtz bricks stencil and the adorable Mama Elephant Boo Agenda ghosts.  Yes...I copied Eleanor, with a couple small twists (ink blending rather than water-colour and different ghosts), but...when I see something that makes me happy, that's what I do!

Stage turned over to you!
Looking forward to seeing your ombre creations in the gallery!

Thank you for dropping by!

Inkspirational Challenge #223~Designer's Choice: Angle It...Halloween Mini Trio

Hello,

Welcome to Inspirational Challenge #223, where Marlena invites us to 'angle it' as her designer's choice for the next two weeks.  As someone who frets all the time about having panels or what-have-you slightly askew, this challenge was fun! Bring on the 'crooked'!

My Halloween theme continues, as you see in the trio of mini cards I've made. More of my last year's snippets of Simple Stories Halloween patterned paper, with strips cut using a variety of longer sentiment dies.  Some mixing/matching, a combination of die-cuts/stickers, a wee bit of stamping (on the first one) and...another set to add to my collection for my niece and nephew!  I just have far tooooo much fun with Halloween stuff!

Here's the gang...

Please check out what 'angles' my teammates explored with their cards and, if you have a moment, do leave them some love! That would be a real treat!

See you in the gallery!

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #556~Word Week...Plaid Happy Halloween

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #556, where our lovely hostess, Bobby, has selected PLAID as this week's word prompt.  I love plaid...

We're excited to welcome Karen Walker as our October Guest designer. She, along with the rest of the team -  SueAngieVickiInaBobbyNancyLisa, and Maria - have some fabulous plaid delights for you.  If you have a chance to visit and leave comments, know that will be appreciated!

I'm in full-on Halloween mode so I've used a pretty plaid background from a Simple Stories Halloween kit from last year as my background for the cutie-patootie ghost, witch hat and sentiment.  Nothing 'scary' here. *grin*  Yes...it's a slimline...a smaller-ish version!

Looking forward to seeing your takes on plaid in the gallery!

Thank you for dropping by!

The Color Hues Challenge #3~Gold and Cream...Sunday Drive Happy Birthday

Hello,

OHMYSTARS...October 1st already! Where have the last several months gone? Wait...don't answer that! We know!

After another impressive turnout in the gallery (thank you to all who played along!), we're excited to invite you to join us at The Colour Hues Challenge #3, where hues of Gold & Cream are center stage.

In addition to the new palette, we're also thrilled to welcome our first guest designer, Ashwini, the winner of our inaugural challenge! You'll love her card!

On a whim (I've been doing far too much 'on a whim' shopping of late!), I invited Spellbinders' Sunday Drive (and a couple of add-on sets) into my collection. Talk about an interesting set of dies. I won't pretend: they're a bit finicky but so worth the time and effort for the results. I cut all the dies once with shimmer cream cardstock, did a second pass with gold, then simply went to town mixing and matching to create two cards.  Sorry that the gold is off in my photos (darn greenish tinge); in real life, it's so very pretty. Tonic...fabulous paper!

Please visit the rest of the team; you'll be sooooo impressed by their creativity:

The challenge is open until 9:00 AM (EST) on October, 14th.
The winners will be posted an hour before our next challenge goes live.
The overall winner will have the opportunity to be a
future Guest Designer!

Thank you for dropping by!

STAMPlorations October CAS Card Challenge~Anything CAS Goes (Optional Colour Twist: Grey + Orange)...Dahlia Thank You

Hello,

After a few months off to recharge and refresh our batteries, the STAMPlorations teams are BACK! New challenges, new products! Exciting things to be revealed in the weeks to come!

Welcome, today, to the October CAS Card Challenge, where Anything Goes is always the theme, with optional colour twists which, this month, are grey and orange! Pretty fall combination, indeed!

Given that I'm slimline-obsessed of late, it was only fitting I create one to launch the new season!  Peeking Dahlias and Thank You Coffee did the trick! I used three shades of 'orange' distress inks - Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmalade and the new Crackling Campfire - and added the panel to a slate grey background. Simple, simple!

That's it from me; time for you to play along.
