Magical Holiday Season....STAMPlorations CUTplorations November 2017 Reminder Post

Hello,

Hope you had a wonderful weekend! I imagine that it was filled-to-bursting with busy-ness for my US friends, with Thanksgiving but three sleeps away!  For us: two Christmas craft markets (my husband bought lovely bracelets for our 'older' niece), a tour down country roads, just because, and then, an evening wander through downtown Cochrane (our new town), to enjoy the 'Light Up' festival.  Fire pots, hotdogs and hot chocolate, caroling, lots of bundled up little ones (jacket-and-sweater clad dogs, too!)...a wonderful start to the magical holiday season.

Today, I'm joining my teammates with a reminder post for the STAMPlorations CUTplorations November 2017 Challenge. Lovely image, isn't it?

So elegant the photo, in contrast, so whimsical is my card! I decided to have fun marrying colours (still trying to figure out copics, so please forgive blotchy blending) from the image with some oldies and new-ies (to me) STAMPlorations goodies.

NOEL...Inkspirational Challenge #148~Designer's Choice: Christmas Cards Using ONLY Neutral Colours

Hello,

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #148~Designer's Choice, where our sweet Yvonne invites us to create a Christmas card using neutral colours only.  Greys, browns, whites...in all their varying shades, tones and hues...can be incredibly beautiful (my house - yes you heard that right - details down the road -  has those very colours and oh, how I love them...).

Heidi, from Stamp Along with Heidi, is joining us as our Guest Designer. Not only is she super talented, but I discovered she lives in Alberta, my province, just 'down the road' a couple hours! How awesome is that! Her neutral card is lovely, as are those of my darling teammates:

Sandie

Shauna

Marina

Nonni

Yvonne

Today, I'm sharing a NOEL card, using Concord & 9th's Joyful Noel dies and stamps, along with Barnwood Background. Hard to see in the photo are the 'little' details: the N is cut from deep brown cardstock embossed with a woodgrain folder; the wreath is shimmer paper; the E and L are stamped with word and woodgrain images from Joyful Noel.  A little kraft star with a Nuvo droplet is the finishing touch...

NOTE: Honoured to be selected as a Cards In Envy~Typography In the Mailbox favourite by Kristie. THANK YOU!

Super simple to make; I already have five done with more in the assembly stages. These are heading to my mom to send to family and friends. Hope she likes them!

We're going to a craft fair today; one of the cyclists we know creates gorgeous bracelets (I have three already, which I wear all the time) and necklaces using a variety of organic elements. Selecting some as gifts are on my radar. The sandalwood beauties she shared on FB and IG have caught my eye...

Heyyyy....these bracelets are neutral colours, too!  No wonder I'm smitten!

Looking forward to seeing your Christmas Cards in Neutral Colours in the gallery!

All Things Merry & Bright...STAMPlorations November 2017 CAS Card Challenge~Anything CAS Goes (optional colour twist: Brown)

Hello!

My wonderful teammates and I are back with a STAMPlorations CAS Card Challenge #20 Reminder Post.  If you haven't joined us yet, you still have time to create something CAS, with or without the optional colour twist: brown.  Hope you'll join us!!

My first cards for this challenge featured the delightful Christmas Reindeer Stamps and Coordinating Dies, one of my absolute favourite stamp/die combinations. For today's card, another awesome set came out: Warm Hands, Warm Heart Stamps and Dies. A charming combination of Christmas/Winter images - stocking, mittens, a large wrapped gift and the image you see below - is paired with a variety of 'warm' sentiments.

My "brown" is obvious in the kraft panel AND in my little sleigh. Simple copic colouring (because that's all I know how to do *grin*)

3rd Annual STAMPlorations Giving Thanks Blog Hop & Wishlist Linky Party

Hello,

Grab a coffee (tea, cocoa...), settle in and join me at STAMPlorations today for the 3rd Annual STAMPlorations Giving Thanks Blog Hop & Wishlist Linky Party . We have a plethora of designers - including several awesome guest designers -showcasing projects, a linky party for you to share your "thankful" or "grateful" projects, a wish list linky and tons of prizes up for grabs.

Our talented Shery has recently created a line of Typografia stamps covering a variety of themes: Christmas, Coffee, In Faith, Motivate and Thankful. Today, I'm featuring two from the Thankful series.

First, I've inked up Unknown Blessings - Thankful Typografia over an embossed background. Why that choice...look closely and you'll spot the little car, with a roof-rack of travel supplies, ready to explore the world. As much as I was tempted to create a stenciled background, once the journey idea came to mind, I *had* to run with it....

My second card features the We Have Enough - Thankful Typografia.  At this time of year - Fall/Thanksgiving, the words grateful/thankful conjure images of leaves, so that's where I headed in showcasing the lovely gratitude quotation.  Trendy Leaves, inked up on a soft grey background; the stamp is in a darker grey. I'm rather liking the combination of browns/greys, of late...

As you can see - these images appeal to all crafting styles, whether you're a fan of CAS (as I am) or a mixed media artist (as many of my DT are). The possibilities are endless; all you need to do is add your own flair and lovely cards are guaranteed to result.

• You can find prizes and sales details HERE.

• Below are links to all the amazing designers participating in this marvelous hop!

• Before you go: Would you like a FREE WORD/PHRASE DIE ($10 value)? When you place your order and use the BIGTHANKS (40% off) coupon code, put in the notes section that you saw this deal on CAROL'S te and tell Shery which FREE WORD/PHRASE DIE you'd like!!!

Happy Hopping/Happy Creating!

November 2017 Uniko Design Team Blog Hop and Giveaway

Hello,

Hope your weekend is off to a good start and we - Bev, my design teammates and I - over at Uniko Studio, are aiming to make it even better!  Welcome to the November 2017 Uniko Design Team Blog Hop and Giveaway!

In October, lovely Bev released four new items (seen below) and we've come together showcase them.  My post is photo heavy - I'll keep chatting to a minimum (okay, I'll try...), but I suggest a cup of something to keep you awake, because once you're done here, you have some hopping to do!

New Uniko Studio Products

Designer Dies - Snowflake Trio

Designer Dies Flower Power #1 - 6 Collection

Wonky Stripes and Scattered Polka Dots

Okay...show rolling!

First...a set of kraft and glitter paper Snowflake magnets/ornaments, with a Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Typed Tokens as centers.  The four with magnets are attached to an Ikea shelving unit in our kitchen; the 'ornaments' are on one of my gi-normous pine cones (I collect pine cones...long story)...

A few close-ups....

I'll definitely be making more of these!

Next, I used the die that corresponds with Flower Power #1 to create two poinsettia cards. Also featured are the Scattered Polka Dots (in Delicata Gold), leaves from Winter Foliage and sentiment - on the right - from Rustic Wreath.

A couple challenges popped up while I was prepping for this hop, so I brought out the snowflake dies once again; they were quite ready to play along! For Simon Says Wednesday Challenge~Snow White, a glitter paper/white paper snowflake on the stage...

and for Merry Monday Challenge #264~Kraft And Red, this:

Whew!  Thanks for spending time with me!

Sending you on your merry way to visit my awesome Design Team who will take your breath away with their impressive creativity. Do leave comments (details here) to be in the running for prizes. Fabulous prizes!
