Color Hues Challenge #58 - Lime Green & Cyan...Painted Dots Hi (Concord and 9th, The Stamp Market)

Here we are - second half of February already and with that our new Colour Hues Challenge #58. Sweet Tracey invites us to use hues of Lime Green and Cyan as inspiration for the next two weeks. At first glance, it may 'seem' a challenging combination but, as you'll see from the design team - and our wonderful guest designer,Linda S., it's not. In fact, it's an awesome 'why haven't I used this before' combo! 

I made a couple of lime green/cyan cards - and the one that photographed best is here. As I've mentioned before, Concord and 9th turnabouts are 'perfect' for many of our challenges. I decided to go with a whimsical approach and reached for the Painted Dots turnabout. It really is fun! The sentiment is from The Stamp Market. A colourful little 'hi', methinks!

Inkspirational Challenge #283 - Use Stencils...Gingerbread LOVE (MCT, Studio Light)

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #283, where we're introducing another new challenge to our rotation: Use Stencils. Each time we feature this challenge, we'll also include an optional twist which, this round is *Add Splatter*.  Given the plethora of stencils in the crafting universe, we're excited to see what you'll bring to dazzle and delight us (and I have my pen and paper at the ready, as I'm sure to spot a few 'must haves' as I wander the gallery).

Two cards from me, featuring my new cutie-pie gingerbreads (and their background panels) from MCT, paired with two stencils from my recent win at Studio Light: the hearts and the repeated Love.

These stencils inked up sooooo easily! They'll be receiving plenty of attention.

Just Us Girls Challenge - Word Week - Sparkle....Love, Hugs, Cutie Happy Valentine's Day (Studio Light, MCT)

Welcome to the Just Us Girls Word Week Challenge, where our sweet hostess, Carol M, invites us to feature *Sparkle* on our cards/projects. Glitter, glitter paper, sparkly ribbon, rhinestones...as long as it's sparkly, you're good to go. As for a theme: choice is yours.  Possibilities galore.

Once again, we're delighted to have Karen Walker joining us as our February guest designer. 

The sentiment hearts, as well as the scalloped heart make for a whole LOT of sparkle on the card I made for my sweet niece. Products are from my awesome win of the Sweet Collection from Studio Light. Valentine sentiment is from MCT. I added five gems for a bit more sparkle, which is more evident in real life than the photo.

Of course, I made a card for my nephew, too...and yep, it's a sparkler! At 10, nearly 11, I think he'll be okay with a cutesy card from his ol' Aunty c. And yes, I do love him the most, as I love my niece the most!

Just Us Girls Challenge #665 - COLOR Week - Pink, Kraft & White...Chilly XOXO and Freezy LOVE

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #665, where our sweet Lisa E has selected Kraft, Pink and White for the week's colour challenge. Perfect combination for so many occasions...including Valentine's Day.

New month means a new guest designer; please welcome super talented Karen Walker, who will be with us throughout February. Her cards are amazing! 

I've brought my Tim Holtz/Sizzix Chilly and Freezy to this challenge; I love these two! Dies from MCT for the backgrounds (including an xoxo border panel) and XOXO sentiment on the first; MCT dies, Pigment Craft Co. coverplate and Love from Christmas Cutouts (Tim Holtz) for the second.

Kind of looks like they're reaching out to give one another hearts! Too cute!

Color Hues Challenge #57 - Coral and Sage...Have an Awesome Birthday (Concord and 9th - Stitched Turnabout)

Happy February 1st and welcome to Color Hues Challenge #57, where our sweet Jules has selected hues of coral and sage as inspiration for the next two weeks. 

We're also delighted to have Karren and Janet as our guest designers. They've created fabulous cards, as have my team mates.

I struggled with this combination; three cards wound up in recycle before it finally dawned on me to reach for a Concord & 9th turnabout stamp. They always offer a solution! Here, I've used Stitched and it worked wonderfully with lighter/darker shades of coral and sage!

Inkspirational Challenge #282 - Moodboard...Happy Valentine's Day Heart Cookies

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #282. Today, we're introducing another challenge style to the roster - Moodboards - which are simply 'more-entry-points' versions of our previous Photo challenges. Here, we're offering a variety of images to spark inspiration - and you can draw ideas from one or several of the photos for your cards/projects. At first glance, you'll note that the selections are Valentine/love themed but, looking closer, we also spy florals, baked goodies, frozen treats, coffee and a range of pretty colours. Possibilities galore! 

Cookies caught my eye...so I whipped up a duo of heart-shaped cookies, freshly baked *grin* and cooling on their baking sheet. The papers, hearts, sentiment and cookie sheet are part of my brand new, just arrived order from MCT. So.much.fun! And I have a lot more of goodies to play with, too! Exciting!

Just Us Girls Challenge #664 - CAS CARD Week - Birthday...Birthday Balloons and Cake (Pinkfresh and Honey Bee)

A warm welcome on this very snowy, cold Alberta Saturday, to Just Us Girls Challenge #664 where we're introducing one of the new challenges on our weekly roster: Clean and Simple. Here, we're looking for CAS cards with plenty of open space (you do not need to have a white background), one major focal point, minimal layers/embellishments. For this particular challenge, as your hostess, I want your cards to be Birthday themed. Bring on the celebrations!

Today, marks our final week with Jules Pedd, our awesome, talented January guest designer. I'm sure you've delighted in her fabulous cards throughout the month - and the one she shared for this challenge is definitely CAS perfection. Many thanks for your inspiration, Jules! Hope you'll join us in the gallery often.

My card really plays on the 'simple' aspect of 'clean and simple', as I used lovely washi images from Pinkfresh Studio's Celebration collection. Adhere the washi to cardstock, die-cut and voila...done!  That cake is so beautiful! I want a huge slice; how about you?
