HLS April 2021 Stencil Challenge...Riotous Blooms Happy Birthday

Hello,

Welcome to Happy Little Stampers April 2021 Challenge where our theme is always Anything Goes. Definitely a great opportunity to give your stencils some love (and enable a few of us, in the process *grin*).

I inked up my STAMPlorations' Riotous Blooms slimline stencil, then cut the panel - and two additional pieces of white cardstock for dimension - with Whimsy Stamps' Slimline Windows die. I stacked the frame three deep, before insetting the window pieces. So easy...and the height/recesses give the stencil a little extra pizzazz. Sticker sentiment finished it off...

My MFT Present Time snowmen are in the process of delivering gifts to 'put' under the tree; they just haven't arrived at their destination yet. These guys are just way toooo cute; I love their little bald heads!

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #236, where our prompt, for the next two weeks, is GROW. Possibilities galore!

I brought out my Concord & 9th Rooting for You and mixed and matched the cute houseplants (names of which I have zero clue!) with the pretty pots. The sentiment seems a good fit for 'grow', a message to cheer someone on as they go experience growth in some fashion.  Simple card...and I wish my plants looked this green!

Just Us Girls Challenge #578~Stripes...Level Up: Achievement Unlocked

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #578, where our lovely Angie invites us to add stripes to our cards/projects this week. Thin, wide, horizontal, vertical...bring on those stylish stripes! 

We're pleased to have Claire Apostoloff as our April guest designer.  Smiles guaranteed when you see her nifty 50 take on stripes; do drop by her blog and leave her some love. As for my teammates: a whole lot of sensational stripes from them as well.

Super simple stripes on my card - that make up for the slightly more time-consuming act of creating the gamer console (MFT Level Up stamps and Game Controller die). Those teensy 'buttons' are the most finicky; by the time I get them where they belong, they've spent time lost on the floor, or stuck to my tweezers, or static-clung (clinged?) to my fingers. I know I should use my Die Cut 'n Bond for itty bit die cuts but nooooo...Lessons still to be learned. At any rate, everything came together and yep, I have stripes!

The Color Hues Challenge #15~Pink and Green...Birthday Florals

Happy April 1st...already...and welcome to The Colour Hues Challenge #15, where we're inviting you to use hues of pink and green as inspiration for the next two weeks. Perfect combination as we await the arrival of Spring (slow going here in Alberta). 

Guess what? I finally decided to create a flower card; something I don't do often because colouring and arranging blooms just aren't in my wheelhouse. I would make a lousy florist! Fortunately, the Colorize Brushstroke Flowers require zero colouring and very little arranging finesse! Yayyyy for die cuts and double yayyyy for a sticker sentiment. I used my STAMPlorations' circle cover plate to add background texture and voila...pink and green done!

STAMPlorations April 2021 CAS Challenge~Anything CAS Goes (optional: Baby Pink and Navy Blue)...Peeking Sunflower Thanks

Happy April 1st (already!) and welcome to another round of STAMPlorations challenges. Today, I'm sharing my card for the CAS Challenge, where the theme is always Anything Goes, with an optional colour twist which, this month, is Baby Pink and Navy Blue. 

My card features the new slimline Peeking Sunflowers ARTplorations stencil which I paired with the Thanks word die. Simple to make and that stencil! So incredibly pretty!  Looking forward to using it again with 'real' sunflower colours!
