The Color Hues Challenge #10~Navy and Cream...Marble Love

Hello,

WOW...another two weeks have whooshed by and here we are: mid-January. I was hoping for a slower pace in the passage of time; I have so much I want to do...cross-stitch, make cards, read, make cards, learn to crochet (I tried a couple times over the past week and oh dear! Loads of practice required), make cards...*grin*. Speaking of cards...

Welcome to The Color Hues Challenge #10, where our lovely Nancy invites us to play with hues of Navy and Cream for the next couple of weeks. A 'classy' combination...

As much as I'd like to take credit for the gorgeous hues-of-navy and cream/gold paper on my panel, I can't! Nope...these stunning papers come from P13's Marble patterned paper collection, which you can see here (purchased from my 'local-ish' retailer). So. Much. Gorgeous!  And yes, I hoard these papers, bringing them out only for very special occasions...and what's more special than *this* challenge!

Pinkfresh Studio's Ornate Banners created the panel design; The Stamp Market's Love dies, the sentiment. I used the same paper for the letters as for the under panel, then layered them over glitter mirror cardstock for a bit more pizzazz.  In real life, this is WOW! All credit goes to the products more so than any talent on my part. I just played along. No stamping, no inking, no mess! Love it!

Please visit the rest of the team; they've created quite the array of dazzling delights with Navy & Cream:

The challenge is open until 9:00 AM (EST) on January 29th.
The winners will be posted an hour before our next challenge goes live.
The overall winner will have the opportunity to be a
future Guest Designer!

Thank you for dropping by!

Gorgeous DP Carol, thought you'd been getting messy! This such a great idea for a quick card that packs a punch!
Good luck with the crochet, I can't do too much these days as my wrists complain but used to do loads in the past as I hate knitting!
Recently found a part finished x-stitch triptych my late Mum started in a box under my desk when I was trying to declutter. I'm now trying to get my head around the pattern and take up where she left off, plenty of time at the mo for doing stuff like that.:)

Well, maybe you just played along, but your talent shines none the less! This is gorgeous, Carol, and I can imagine it's even prettier IRL. A WOW! design in every way!

Why do I struggle with alcohol inks when this awesomeness can be achieved! And as Cindy says, the card can only be gorgeous if the creator makes it so. ;) Beautiful!

I was absolutely sure that the background was created with alcohol inks so I'm amazed that it's a patterned paper---stunning card!

What an amazing pattern paper, Carol! This is stunning! I think your days whoosh so quickly is because you are living a life you love! Look at all those fun things you are doing! Oh man, I wish I could help you with learning to crochet. It's a lot of fun! Hope you have found some good YouTube videos to follow. Yes, and practice is necessary to get the tension right. You can do it, though! I have faith in you. Crafty hugs!

WOW! I too have pattern paper that I only bring out for special occasions and unfortunately it is now down to a 3x3 square. Love that this card is all paper and dies! It came together perfectly! I have never learned to crochet either! Maybe someday! Best of luck! Take care!

Are you kidding me?!...that is paper?!!...Wow! I LOVE how you made the paper shine...your card is absolutely perfect! :) Sometimes the 'no stamping, no inking, etc.' is the way to go. ;) Hope all is well, my friend. Hugs

I would have sworn you'd made that background. (You shouldn't have 'fessed. LOL!) So perfect and so beautiful!
