Just Us Girls Challenge #549~Colour Week...Thank You Purse (Dark Teal, Berry, Kraft)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #549 where our lovely hostess, Angie, has selected kraft, dark teal and berry as this week's palette.

We're pleased to have Lisa Elton from mypapertales joining us once again. Enjoy gazing at and admiring her pretty card, as well as all the beautifulcreations by the rest of the team: Sue, Angie, Vicki, Ina, Bobby, Nancy, Lisa, Maria and Cécile. If you have a chance to leave comments, that would be a real treat.

Soooo...this combination of colours was totally new to me and had me stymied for quite a while. Finally, however, an idea sparked based on two things: my major obsession with Concord & 9th's Every Day Purse set (seriously...o.b.s.e.s.s.e.d!  I'm obsessing over a few things of late!) and a purse image I found here.  What is odd about my paper purse addiction is that I'm not one for real purses in the least. I might have one somewhere but where I have no idea. Knapsack and just 'carrying my wallet' is about the extent of my accessorizing....and given my non-outings over the past several months, I'm not concerned with adding purses to my 'collection'!  That said: those little C & 9th purses are ohmystars adorable!  We won't discuss how many I've made already...and more to come! They're the perfect 'go to' project when my mojo needs an energy boost.

My purse features: MFT Razzleberry paper, Studio Katia's dots stencil + Picked Raspberry distress oxide ink, Paper Smooches Sunflower in dark teal cardstock and a snippet of dark/light teal patterned paper from P13 (oh...and that's another addiction! P13 paper is awe-mazing!) for the center, and a kraft tag.  The purse opens like a card; I have yet to make a 'full' purse as yet because the  small cards are delightful as is...perfect for a note, a gift card...whatever.

That's it from me!

Looking forward to seeing how you're inspired by Dark Teal, Berry and Kraft!

Thank you for dropping by!

Oooh, SO cute! I adore that bright bold pink and the touch of teal. Looks extra fancy with the "leather" sentiment. :) I can see why you are obsessed. Interesting that you are not a purse person. I think it would be awesome to be that way(or to carry a backpack, must think about that. Especially since I'm the designated carry-er of the extra schtuff! LOL I think you are the smarter one. Thanks for sharing, Carol! :) Hugs!

This is seriously CUTE! The bold colours are amazing for this sweet little purse. The pop of white for the sentiment is just right.

Reading your blog brings a smile to my face. Who needs a real purse these days or makeup for that matter! LOL. However, this is absolutely fabulous! I can so see why you are enthralled with these. I would want one in every color! I adore the tag and the flower embellishment. I made a purse card long ago. Nothing as cute as this! if I can find the post I will send you a link. HUGS!

I was going to ask what you do with all your purses, Carol, until you said they are actually cards. What a unique way to send a greeting to someone. You've decorated this one beautifully. I love that little tag.

This is so adorable! I used to be on a design team that created templates to create 3-D items and I remember making a purse similar to this. I loved making all of them, so I can relate to your obsession with these. Really cute and love your use of the color combination!
