Reindeer and Trees...CAS(E) this Sketch #98, City Crafter Challenge Blog Week #236~My Deer

Hello...

This week is zipping by and before I know it, Friday afternoon will arrive to see us heading off to visit my family for FOUR days (we have Monday and Tuesday off - a wee 'fall break' from school added on to Remembrance Day)! Call me excited!

My husband will be racing the last two cyclo-cross events of the season on Saturday and Sunday, so hopefully, a bundled up niece and nephew will join their mega-bundled up Aunty C (should have seen me last weekend. I was a fashion statement indeed...of what not to wear, but I was much warmed than the cyclists sporting their racing kit. Snow and spandex...yeah, no) to cheer him on.  I'm hoping to get a bit of shopping in (sweaters...I need sweaters!), and then spend most of Sunday helping my mom with a family supper preparations to celebrate by brother's birthday (from October) and my husband's (on Sunday).  Of course, having Ms. T and Mr. C joining us is a 'must'!

I've been crafting mightily, any minute I can, to get cards ready for the Christmas Bazaar at the seniors' residence where my mom volunteers. A few are ready to go, then once back home, I'll be working frantically to get them ready for shipping (my husband will be the delivery man, as he has a meeting in Edmonton) on  Dec. 2, in time for the Dec. 6 event.  Cards, and the Advent Countdown for my niece and nephew, will be my focus, soooooo...hope I don't bore you to tears with the abundance of Christmas you'll see for the next bit.

Today, three cards to share. The first two are heading to CAS(E) this Sketch #98

and this one, as well as the one below, are off to City Crafter Challenge Blog Week #236~My Deer

Although I didn't get my reindeer cards done in time, I was inspired by MUSE #91, where the talented, creative Michele, invited us to use designer paper to make a set of three cards; same theme, different formats. I do have a third, but it's a 'little secret' for now.  I'll be following her suggestion as I continue with my Christmas-only diet (and maybe three will become fours, or fives...).

Thanks so much for dropping by; your visit and comments add sparkle to my day!

That little reindeer makes me smile every time I see him :) Great mix of cards and oh how I love seeing "JOY" on them -- my favorite word. I have a wonderful visual of you bundled up because I do the same for my son's soccer games LOL! Oh and the spandex with winter - no thanks!! Good thing they are generating so much heat. "Bore us to tears" ???? That will NEVER happen! I'm always so amazed (okay, and a wee bit jealous) at how adept you are at shifting gears between styles like you have here - classy & elegant to cutie patootie with the snap of your scissors! Gorgeous color combos - love the shimmery Joy! That little reindeer melts my heart (Paper Smooches - ?)

Snow & spandex...it's gotta be a guy thing!!! (Insert eye roll here!)

That deer is just so adorable! And I had a good laugh reading your blog post: I imagined you, completely bundled up in some wilderness, and while you are waiting for the cyclists that deer jumps by and grins at you. Sorry, I don't know how I conjured up this image but it still makes me laugh :-)
