Hello,
I'm over-the-moon delighted, honoured and thrilled to share that I'm joining the fabulous AAA Birthday Challenge Team! The AAA Birthday team is filled with talented, creative designers; hopefully, my creativity will meet the high bar they have set. Now, without further ado:
Welcome to AAA Birthday Challenge #70, where our theme for the month is Ink Smooshing.
We're delighted to have Ashwini Rao as our February Guest designer. Her card is a work of art; please visit her blog to see the details.
My debut card features, in turn, the debut of my Spellbinders Floral & and Sentiments Press Plate, that has been awaiting a play date for several months. The technique of ink smooshing was exactly what I needed to bring it out, even though I'm not very skilled when it comes to ink/water techniques. Fortunately, I found a video using a smooshing style that worked for me: not too messy; not too fussy; not too water-forward! Yayyyy! Here are the results:
Please visit head over to the AAA Birthday Challenge blog to see the wonderful cards created by Ashwini and the Design Team.
Then, join us in the gallery with an ink-smooshed birthday card of your own.
See you there!

First, a huge Congrats on your new Team! They know talent when they see it...Lucky them! As for your card, the colors are lovely as is the background. Watercoloring is not my thing either but your ink smooshing is perfect for your first attempt. Lovely birthday card and I was thrilled to see it in our gallery at Seize the Birthday!
So happy to have you join the DT at AAA Birthday. Your card is amazing; the ink smooshing is soft and delicate and I love the big bold image on top. Hugs, Denise x
