Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #603, where Ina has selected this lovely floral photo as this week's inspiration.
A huge thank you to Loll Thompson for being our stellar Guest Designer this month. Her card and those of my team see a blog exploding with purple floral delights. If you have opportunity to drop in and leave them some love, I know that will be deeply appreciated.
I pulled out an oldie from my Concord & 9th collection: Brushed Blossom. In the past, I've typically stamped the flowers and placed the die cut as an overlay. This time, I decided to try inlaying the floral bits. So glad I did; I love the look! A few lilac splatters (using a stamp of course) gave the finishing touch.
That's it from me; looking forward to your takes on the photo!
See you in the gallery1
Thank you for dropping by!
I know it can be fussy work but inlaying dies gives a totally different look, Carol, and yours looks fantastic! I love the lighter color for the buds.
Love the inlaid look -- this is fantastic
Your inlaid sprays of flowers are so beautiful, Carol. It is so worth the effort as theses flowers and leaves really stand out on your card. The splatters are the perfect finishing touch. Thanks for having me as Guest Designer this month!!
So beautiful, Carol! The inlaid is perfect!
Ooooh what a beautiful card. Well worth any effort to do the inlay. Well done, Carol!
Beautiful clean card, love how crisp it looks!
Oh, you have the best supplies! I adore this and especially because you inlaid it. Just beautiful! Even the splatters are perfect!
Carol... what fab corner dies! Truly a great CAS card!
This is so very pretty! Nicely done on the splatters, too.
Fabulous result you got here with the inlay bits Carol. Love the scallop edges and tiny splatters. It's beautiful.
Awesome! I love the inlaid flowers paired with the splatters and big center sentiment. The scalloped edges pair with your lovely design perfectly!
Love the different use of this set! I love the simple look. Lovely card!
