Apples and Leaves...FUSION (Nov. 3)

Hello!

Before introducing the new FUSION Challenge, a hearty round of applause and cheering for the amazing creativity shared in the gallery for the previous one. Thank you for your support and, especially, inspiration! Let's keep the momentum going with FUSION~Primary, where we're tempting you with a colourful school-themed photo (love the polka-dots!) or a four-part sketch OR both!  Isn't choosing your own adventure fun!

Two cards from me this round.  One inspired by the photo

and a second that's a 'stylized' version of the sketch:

NOTE: Honoured and thrilled to be one of three Featured Members over at MUSE Challenge #190.  THANK  YOU!!

Confession time: I struggle with sketches calling for 'inside' panels because I canNOT cut straight lines, despite having three cutting tools. Rectangle and square dies aren't a 'want' for me; they're an absolute necessity!.  So, my talented friends, do you have any advice for which die sets (I like those with stitching) might help my plight?  Suggestions more than welcomed!  Always on the lookout for various sizes of panel dies....

Please be sure to check out the FUSION gals' interpretations, then....

Your turn!

What sparks your creativity? Sketch? Photo? Both?
Looking forward to seeing how this FUSION challenge will inspire you!
See you in the gallery!

For those of you new to FUSION challenges, and for those good friends returning: a quick outline/reminder of how things work:

PROCEDURES:

1. Play with just the sketch challenge.
2. Play with just the inspiration photo challenge.
3. Or you can create FUSION by combining BOTH challenges into one card.
4. Use the challenge graphic and link back to Fusion in your post.

Plenty of choices, right? Right!

Also sharing at:

MUSE Challenge #190, where I drew inspiration from Estelle's trio of leaves, colours and gratitude theme. Here's the pretty she shared with us:

Thank you so much for spending part of your day with me; your visit brings me joy!

Look at those lovely cards! So different, yet so you! The teacher in me adores that first card. So bright and fun and encouraging. The second card is more artistic feeling with some beautiful colors. As for stitched dies...I mostly use (and love) Lawn Fawn's set. I think it is the smaller set (there are two). It has the die that cuts the rectangle a bit smaller than the A2 size. I also have Avery Elle's Wonky stitching dies. I really like those, too. Of course personal preference plays a big role in what you select. Have fun shopping!! Hugs! :)

Your cards. Yay for polkie dots!! Such a cute card! Love the colors and the papers and the apples and, well everything about your first card. And your second card is simply lovely. Such pretty colors and wonderful die cuts. I like the MFT dies; they work nicely every single time. Have a happy Friday. Bev

Love your take on the Muse card, Carol! I find the MFT has the greatest variety of dies for cutting panels and buy when they are 20% off.

Fun and bright teacher card, Carol ... and gorgeous C9 leaves ... I see you're putting these to beautiful use, my friend! Sorry, can't help with the die question ... I'm in the same boat ... though I have been eyeing up MFT's huge collection ... choices, choices! Hugs, Anita :)

Fantastic design - love the rich colours and that you've backed them onto the white rectangles. So beautiful! So glad you joined us at MCV this week!

Love both of these cards. That quote on the first card--so very apt.

Beautiful colors, beautiful split panel! I think your card is great as it is!

Two absolutely gorgeous cards! I just love that sentiment in the first one and your second one is so very trendy! As for dies, I like the MFT stax but the biggest size isn't enough to cover a card front, so if you want that option as well the Lil Inkers stitched rectangle dies are perfect because the largest one cuts the stitches but not the edges so you can use it on a card base to get the stitched edge.

Love how you included some of the small pieces with your die cuts; great interpretation of Estelle TBT's Muse card.
