Flowers...CASology Week #194~Mom, Pinterest April 2016 Challenge, Just Add Ink #308~"Just add M", Crazy 4 Challenge #333~Flowers

Hello,

Okay, so I pretty much turned around and the weekend has vanished! In fact, I made but one...ONE!...card!  Pent-up creativity happening, I tell you!

Anyway, two cards to share quickly today.  The first features my brand spanking new Layered Lily from Altenew. In love!  Warmly welcomed into my collection (along with two other sets, ordered from a local crafting gal I recently found...woo hooooo!) and showcased for this week's CASology Week #194~Mom

Nothing brand-spanking-new about my design, but oh, what a pretty lily it is!

NOTE:  Honoured and delighted that my card received a CASology Honourable Mention. Thank you, Ardyth!!

My second is my non-water-coloured (tried, epic failures. epic not doing this!) card for the Pinterest April 2016 Challenge

I used a trio of floral rubber stamps from So Suzy, stamped them in the inspiration image colours, added a fabulous N&T Hello...and called it done.  Makes me inky happy (as compared to water-colour wailing!)

Also sending my cards to various challenges, where they fit:

Just Add Ink #308~"Just add M"

We've had a blustery, cloudy, rainy cool weekend...and I don't mind.  Rain needed...and then, the rainbows will come!

Thank you so much for spending time with me today; your visit brings me immense joy!

Oh wow--that is a gorgeous lily & so is your card! Beautiful stamping for the hello card--no need to watercolor! Wishing you a great week, Carol!

Ya know what they say... if at first you don't succeed... I had to go watercolor-y with this inspiration photo, but your delicate flowers in those tones are totally delightful surrounding that sweet "hello".

Super cards Carol. Know what you mean about the weekend, where did it go?
After a week of blue skies yesterday saw the weather break, don't mind April showers but they are forecasting snow later in the week!! :)

Beautiful cards, Carol! Wonderful color choices that bring on the smiles and feelings of joy. Sorry to hear you had a problem with watercoloring. I'm not so good at that either. Lots of gnashing of teeth for sure. We had a decent weather weekend, but it is supposed to be stormy this week and I heard the snow word bandied about. Sigh...But we need the moisture I know so I won't complain too loudly if it does. Hope you find some time to express your creativity this week. Hugs!

I totally suck at watercoloring. If there's a worse description for it, then I'd use it, but there isn't so I'm sticking with "suck." Then I bought a four-pack of Zig Clean Color Brushes. What a difference! I can actually work with them. They're kind of like markers, but you use a bit of water and the whole thing goes to a new level. LOVE them, and you should give them a shot. Seriously. With your talent with the Chameleons, you'd rock them! Though these two cards certainly don't need to be rocked any further! They are just gorgeous. That lily is something else and in that rich color it looks like it just came out of a garden. And I love your take on the Pinterest photo. Awesome stamping, and I love the N&T die cut! Brilliant cards my friend. Have a wonderful week. Bev

Weekends always seem to get the best of me. I set out with really good card intentions, but never wind up doing as many as I like. That lily is positively perfect though! You did a great job of letting it shine in all that white space! And your background stamping is spot on - so pretty!

Agree with Ardyth...the lily does look hand painted! Bee-u-ti-ful!!!

Your second card makes me very 'inky happy' too! Hear you loud and clear on the watercolor issue - been there, tried it, don't want to go back! Gorgeous colors - love how the black sentiment pops!

Hi Carol, just entered the Tag challenge, my first time. Your card was so beautiful I had to try. I didnt get there, was trying for similar colour but was just too heavy handed. Will keep at it. Your cards are all so beautiful.
