Poppies...Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #335, Happy Little Stampers~Anything Goes

Hello,

Today, I'm delighted to welcome  you to the Theme Challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #335~Tags.  My DT and I are drawing inspiration from this oh-my-stars pretty image (that cupcake is 'nearly' too pretty to eat!)

This week, we're thrilled to be sponsored by A Day for Daisies.

As I mentioned in my post last week, I'm a newcomer to the world of digital images and over the past week, WOW! I've discovered so very much!  Did you know, for instance, that A Day For Daisies provides themed categories of over 3000 digital illustrations, and that's above and beyond their stamp line. Impressive! Given all those images, you can well predict the challenge of narrowing my selection to one.  I looked at plenty, but kept coming back to one: the Wild Fall Poppy.  The delicate flowers in the inspiration photo, the fact that Remembrance Day is on Wednesday...the combination of both, likely...lead me to this choice...and to these two cards I'm sharing with  you.

First, the poppies in delicate pink, on a tag set atop a heart stenciled panel, lightly dusted with Tea Dye distress ink....

My second card sees the poppies in red, and paired with one of the gorgeous new sentiments from Happy Little Stampers...

Please head over to see what the team has in store for you at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #335~Tags, then create a tag of your own and join us in the gallery.  The winner will receive a $12 gift certificate at A Day for Daisies...incentive, right?  Right!  See you there!!

I'm also sharing at:

Your visit is so appreciated...thank you for spending part of your day with me!
Hugs,

Welcome to the fun world of digital images, Carol. I can well imagine that it was extremely difficult to narrow your choices. But I think you did extremely well with this image. It's so delicate looking. Your coloring is wonderful on both, but the second card really pops! I think it's the red that pops out beautifully against the neutral background. Excellent work, my friend! :) Hugs!

Hi Carol, venturing into the realm of digital images..... I never adjusted to that ....Probably too old..... But you did well here. Just gorgeous, your cards!
As for me, I am getting a bit better. At least I'm allowed to use a tablet now for a little bit. But I still have a gas bubble in my eye and have to be careful about too much eye movement .... I still have to keep my head down 24 hours a day...... Not fun for my neck....And no crafting 😐. But I hope that in about 4-6 weeks the bubble will be gone and then nothing will hold me back from my craft room!! Thanks for sending me that wonderful get well card ! I really appreciated that. I miss my little stamp family!

OH my! How pretty both of these cards are! I just love the lightly stenciled background on the first one and the cute little tag! The second one is colored so beautifully and I adore the embossed background! Two winners in my book! ((Hugs))

I can see why you chose that image with its wispy stems and leaves, Carol. I love them in either color.

Wow - this is a fabulous image! I KNOW that you will do it up fine dear friend...as you have with these first two cards! Such a nice contrast between bold and subtle colors. I've only used digi images a couple of times but had trouble with the printer ink bleeding when I used Copics. Doesn't look like you had any ink issues at all cuz your coloring is beautiful!
