Tags (and a shaker) X 2...Clearly Besotted Challenge #13 - Autumn / Halloween Theme, Tag, You're It #6, Words 2 Scrap By #9~To Every Thing There Is a Season, Simon Says~TAG IT

Hello...and here it is, Sunday morning, already.  First: letting you know that I'm jumping in with a series of card-catch-ups, as my planning for posting last week was poorly scheduled.  In a nutshell, my week, up until yesterday, went along the lines of:

Work...work...grrrr at technology...work...craft...craft...toss epics fails away...craft...take photos in a panic...craft...more photos...post-procrastinate...work....craft...bike race officiating (fabulous weather, but holy-moley, windy out, Batman! I'm rosy-cheeked and nosed)...take more photos...

All that disorganization sees me now in a dither, trying to put which cards with which challenges, correctly. Honestly, I need an intervention...

So, since I have a series planned, best to get started before I'm interrupted by something (or someone...I hear my husband coming downstairs, and I know he's game for a hike today. Oh, the perils of being married to an athlete, whose energy appears boundless...).

I made two tags - well, technically one is a shaker tag, and second-technically, they're both 'tag cards' - inspired by two challenges:  Clearly Besotted #13 - Autumn/Halloween and Tag, You're It #6.

The first, the shaker tag card, is for CB only, and features my "Boo To You" set...

My second tag card is my 'attempt' to create something 'fall themed' for Stephanie's challenge, which was all the more difficult because I don't have any Clearly Besotted Fall themed products. So,  I adapted...and yes, you are seeing distress markers once again (darn things keep pestering me!),  We won't discuss how many times I coloured, huffed and stamped the butterfly before getting an image that worked (sort of).  I used the 'layout' of Karin's gorgeous tag over at Tag, You're It #6:

The wee leaves are from the 'retiring' Nuts For You set (on sale, so if you need a squirrel in your stash, go shop now!), and the butterfly from the Elegant Butterfly collection.  Butterflies come in 'fall colours'...or so I've decided *grin*

I'm also entering them at a new-to-me challenge: Words 2 Scrap By #9~To Every Thing There Is A Season, which I discovered through my sweet friends, Darnell and Greta, as well as to Simon Says Wednesday Challenge~TAG IT!

Here's my two-some...

Thanks so much for dropping by; your visit and comments add sparkle to my day!

Oh, the things that drag us away from creating, Carol ... your post puts it in a nutshell (probably of belonging to the wee squirrel)! Glad it's the other side of a tough week for you ... and delighted to see these awesome tags! Such a cute halloween shaker and your autumn butterfly ... just beautiful! Hugs, Anita :)

How fun! The shaker tag is super cute! I totally love the colours you've used. I'm such a sucker for that colour combo. And the autumn tag is beautiful! I'm so glad you're persisting with the distress markers because you are really coming up with some lovely creations. The butterfly is lovely! Just love seeing all that you come up with. You're so creative and so original with your designs.

WOW!!! First of - all that huffing and puffing was worth it! The butterfly is stunning...as is the rest of the tag and the gorgeous texture of that 'burlappy' looking paper!

The H'ween tag is just as spooky cute as spooky cute can be! The harlequin background paper totally works with the orange pumpkins & ribbons. The shaker element ...off the charts fun!

You got me with the leaves!! I didn't need a squirrel so I had not paid attention to the retiring stamp set - but the leaves with the heart (and the acorn) are wonderful!! I love the way you have layered them up under the butterfly. And those smiling pumpkins with the shaker are too fun!

Oh my goodness, C, you had me hollering! Mainly because I felt so relieved that I'm not the only one who ever had trouble matching photographs of cards to challenges. But, being totally German, I got super uber-organized: a notebook to keep track of design teams, a digital file to keep track of challenges, and … well, sometimes it still doesn't work out. Pesky brain keeps getting older and forgetting stuff.

Wait, what am I doing here? Who made those totally adorable shaker tags? Are they for me? Question, and more questions… ;)
