Leaf Thanks...Crazy for CAS~Challenge #52 Sketch, Curtain Call~Lovely Leaves

Surprise.. a second pell-mell rush to get a card in before a gallery closes.

Buying new leaf dies were also part of my recent shopping extravaganza trip, while visiting my family and I couldn't resist giving one a trial run, using another "Joy" shimmer paper.  I'm not sure if there are varying degrees of 'cas' but if so, I think mine lands on the toooooo cas end of the spectrum. The 'white space' seems...stark; perhaps some embossing would help, or maybe a sequin set.  Oh well...the leaf cut beautifully and I just love how gi-normous it is.

My inspiration came from two challenges:  Curtain Call~ Lovely Leaves

and Crazy for CAS #52~Sketch

Swooning over this paper...seriously swooning (and the price, only exceptional
I may have bought a package or four...

Thanks so much for dropping by; your visit and comments add sparkle to my day!

Goodness, Carol, I think that pp and the stitching is all you need in order for that magnificent leaf to shine as the main focus pocus of your beautiful card. I was just at Curtain Call, thinking about trying to make a card and get it posted in the remaining time, which is only a couple of hours before I sleep, and I saw this brilliant card. I had to come straight-away before distractions arose to let you know I love it to pieces! It's a winner to me!! Hugs, Darnell

The huge leaf looks gorgeous on the card.

I don't think it looks stark but if you are unhappy then yes, embossing is definitely a good idea. The background paper looks sooo cute! No wonder you love it. That leaf is amazing too. Another fabulous card, Ms Carol! :)

I am so glad you are playing along at Curtain Call with that truly gorgeous leaf!! I am very much into white space so this card makes me happy. Nothing distracts from the leaf. The background paper is a lovely accent. I don't know about you - but I have a fairly big stash of cards that never actually get used in real life. Don't tuck this card away like that - it will make somebody's day!!

What a stunner of a card! I think it's perfect as it is. The white panel gives that gorgeous, shiny leaf room to stand out! Also love the patterned paper underneath and the two-part layer. Looks like a winner to me!

Definitely not too CAS! The white panels allow that gorgeous leave to shine and there's plenty of added interest from the leaves peeking out behind the panels. It's all around fabulous!

So, do you know the feeling when you run up a flight of stairs and then desperately try to catch your breath? Yeah? Got it visualized?

That's me. Seeing your card for the first time. I might have thrown in a couple capital letter OMG's, too. I mean, could you be any more perfect! The shimmer paper is stunning (WANT!!!!), but the way you laid out your card is super awesome. Clean lines, stitched borders … be still, my crazily beating heart.
