Happy Birthday...Paper Crafting Challenges~INSPIRED BY

Hello, all...

Today, I'm super excited to be guest designing for Paper Crafting Challenges~INSPIRED BY.  Justin, the host of the blog, is challenging us to create a card in the style of a card-maker who we admire. The challenge is als doubling as a DT call so it is extra special!!

Narrowing the field of who I wanted to case was a mega challenge, as soooooo many of you fan the flames of inspiration on a regular basis.  I decided that, for this challenge, I would case a designer whose cards run the spectrum from elegant and classy, to artsy and funky. If you want soft and delicate, she does it; vibrant and fold, she excels at it!  Name the technique, she's likely given it a whirl, with results nothing short of fabulous; name the product, chances are she has it! This designer is a multi-faceted, sparkling gem of creativity, innovation and design genius. Not only that: she has a heart of gold!

My 'admire-ee' for this challenge is the effervescent, poetic, talented Kimberly Wiener, from wienerhoneymooners,.  Many of Kimberly's cards 'speak' to me, but one in particular has been residing in my  "Cards I Super Love' notebook in Evernote from first glance.  You'll know why I love it as soon as you see it. I'm delighted to have opportunity to 'channel my inner Kimberly' to play along.

Here's Kimberly's card

and here's my take:

Check out Paper Crafting Challenges~INSPIRED BY for more inspiration and details, then share a card you've made inspired by a designer who WOWs you.

Thanks so much for dropping by; your visit and comments make my day.

Kimberley's card is gorgeous! I can so tell why you chose her as inspiration. Your card is equally as gorgeous and it is still very much a "Carol" card, I think you've definitely found your style now. No matter which technique/style, etc, that you choose to try, you definitely make it your own! hugs!

You beat me to the comments, C! I was saving up your posts since last week; being away for a week and having a crazy few days at work had me a bit behind my "commenting" schedule :)

You CASEd the card beautifully … I mean, throw butterflies my way and my eyes turn into little hears and start flickering like crazy. I also totally admire the way you combined the layers and colors … ok, I'm also a bit jealous because that is something that simply doesn't compute for me. But hey, you do it so well, I'll just come by again and again to see what you are doing :)
