Inkspirational Challenge #344 - Use Stencils (Optional Twist - Geometric) - You are Simply the Best Spring Breeze Butterflies (WF)

Hello,

Our popular Use Stencils Challenge - with the optional twist of Geometric - begins today, June 21, and runs until July 4th. The hardest part of this challenge: deciding which stencils you want to showcase. I love stencils and I know many of you do, as well.

Yet another Waffle Flower inspired postage collage card from me, this time featuring a stencil that can be used on its own or with the postage background, which I've done here: Spring Breeze. The butterflies and flowers are perfect for this time of year.

Please head over to the main blog to see fabulous inspiration from my wonderful team.

We're looking forward to seeing what inky stencil delights you'll be dazzling us with over the next two weeks.

Thank you for dropping by!

Color Hues Challenge #112 - PEACH and COBALT - You're Sew Amazing (WF - Sew Fun)

Hello,

Welcome to Colour Hues Challenge #112, where our lovely hostess, Stef, invites us to use hues of Peach and Cobalt as inspiration for the next two weeks. This combination works wonderfully various occasions and designs.

We're delighted to have Teresa S. as our guest designer.

Making their debut for this challenge are my new Waffle Flower Sew Fun and Quilt Frame dies. This was another one of those 'nope, don't need it' situations that I quickly over-ruled, because oh yes, I *need* these sewing/quilting themed products. Behind the scenes, I'm learning to use my real sewing machine to make little projects - pouches, mug rugs, bags - so of course, I'm a bit besotted with stitchy things of late. To be honest: making sewing-themed cards is way easier than making 'real' sewn things. LOL!

Please head over to the main blog to see fabulous inspiration from our Guest Designer and my amazing teammates.
Looking forward to seeing how Peach and Cobalt inspire you!

The challenge will be open until June 29th @ 9:00am (EST)

The winners will be posted an hour before our next challenge and the overall
winner will have the opportunity to be a future Guest Designer.

Thank you for dropping by!

Happy Birthday and Many More - Every Occasion Floral Alphabet Collection (AAA Colourboard #16, Seize the Birthday Challenge #307)

Hello,

Just shy of a month, trying to decide what to make - and tossing several attempts in the recycle bin while doing so - an idea finally gelled and, in the nick of time, I have a card for AAA Colourful Challenge - Colourboard #16.

I think I've captured the colours to varying degrees. The purple and yellow in the swatch reminded me of pansies, so those are my flower-of-choice to adorn the &. They're kind of glow-y...oh well!

As this is clearly a birthday card, I'm sharing in the Anything Goes topping at Seize the Birthday Challenge #307.

Thank you to the designers for both challenges; your themes and inspiration cards make playing along a 'must'!

Thank you for dropping by!

Inkspirational Challenge #343 - Mood Board - Sew Much Love (WF Sew Fun stencil and dies)

Hello,

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #343. For the next two weeks (June 7 - June 20), we invite you to draw inspiration from the sewing/fabric themed Mood Board below.  Plenty of inroads to explore: colours, patterns, textures, elements, the 'vibe'...and that's just a start.

I'm absolutely smitten with Waffle Flower's May release, which focused on all things sewing/quilting themed. Of course, I couldn't resist adding several products to my collection - and a few of those are what you see on my "I wanted to recreate everything from the mood board" inspired card. The sewing machine...ohmyword! Sew Much Fun!

Please head over to the main blog to see fabulous interpretations from my teammates, then bring your mood-board inspired creativity to the gallery.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #778 - Use Dies Week - It's Your Day Birthday (TH Celebrate Colourize)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #778 where our hostess, Ina, invites us to incorporate LAYERS for our Use Dies Week Challenge.  In essence, we want to see LAYERS created by your dies in our cards/projects.

Just a reminder: Our Use Dies challenge is not necessarily 'anything goes'; rather, the hostess may invite you to use specific styles of dies or use dies in a certain fashion. Following the directions carefully ensures that your card/project is in the running to be selected as a winner or recipient of a shout out.

We're delighted to have Joanne James joining us as our June Guest Designer.

LOADA of layering of dies happening on my card - because that's what happens when you reach for any of Tim Holtz' colourize dies.  The specific set here is his Celebrate Colorize collection.

Actually, many of Tim's dies would work wonderfully for this challenge - just in case you need a hint/boost about what to create.

Please head over to the main blog to see fabulous inspiration from Joanne and the rest of my teammates.
Then, decide which of your dies you want to LAYER and join us in the gallery.

Thank you for dropping by!

We're delighted to have Barbara, a previous challenge winner, as our guest designer.

Classic Correspondence, from Pinkfresh Studios, arrived to join my stash recently - and today marks its debut. Initially, So glad I overcame my initial "nope, don't need this" thought because, apparently I do! It's pretty, fun and versatile.  Coral inks (PFS) + Eucalyptus (Lisa Horton) were my main stencil colour choices.

AAA Birthday Challenge #74 - No Stamping - Patterned Paper Cupcake Birthday

Hello,

Happy June 1st!  Do you feel as I do: amazed at how quickly we've arrived at this half-way point of 2025! Time, indeed, flies.

New month; new challenge. Welcome to AAA Birthday Challenge #774 where we want NO STAMPING on your cards. That's right: no stamping. Stenciling is fine; die cuts are fine, patterned paper, yep; hand-writing, stitching...anything but 'stamping'. Let's give some other products some time on stage.

My mini slimline features patterned paper, a couple of dies and - hard to believe from me - fussy cutting. Except for the scissor-work (not a fussy cutting fan by any stretch) this was a quick card to make. Love when pretty papers do all the hard work.

Please head over to the main blog to see fabulous inspiration from my teammates, then join us in the gallery with a NO STAMPING card of your own.
Plenty of time to play; the link is open until June 30th.
