Inkspirational Challenge #334 SPECIAL COLLABORATION - Color Hues Challenge #103 - RED and PINK - Love (PFS - Modern Design Blocks, Julieta Alpha)

WELCOME TO OUR SPECIAL EVENT!

Inkspirational Challenge #334 - COLLABORATION with Color Hues Challenge #103

The Inkspirational gals and I are delighted to participate in this first-time collaboration with Color Hues Challenge #103.  Creating with RED AND PINK – a combination open to such a wide range of hues, as well as occasions/events – makes us even more happy!

This collaboration serves two key goals: to increase exposure of both challenges to players who may/may not know about them and to offer YOU a chance to share your projects in two galleries. If you link with us here, please be sure to hop over to Colour Hues to link  there. We’re hoping for an outstanding number of entries over the course of the two week run of both challenges.

NOTE: please be sure to follow the Colour Hues guidelines for your cards/projects. You can find them HERE.

My card features the debut of an older, but new to me, coverplate and stencil set from Pinkfresh Studio - Modern Design Blocks. LOVE this glimmer plate and stencil - and they play well with a wide variety of colours, especially Red and Pink. The Julieta Alpha dies - also from PFS - were used for LOVE.

Please head over to the Inkspirational and Colours Hues blogs to see fabulous inspiration from the two design teams. Then, join us in the gallery with your Red and Pink creations.

Remember: add your card/project to both galleries.

Just Us Girls Challenge #760 - CASE a DT - You're My Favourite Dude (Visible Image - Teenage Kicks, MFT All-Star)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #760, where we invite you to CASE a Design Team Member. The 'rules' are simple:
  • select one of our Design Team cards and
  • make it your own based on whatever sparks your creativity: the colors, elements, theme, style, etc.
In your description, tell us whose card you chose, what inspired you and how you translated that inspiration into your version.
I've created a simple masculine card using products from Visible Image and My Favourite Things. This will be heading to my nephew who is, 110%, my favourite dude!!

Please head over to the main blog to see fabulous inspiration from my teammates.

We're looking forward to seeing who's card you'll be casing this week.

Thank you for dropping by!

Inkspirational Reminder Post - Challenge #333 - Word Prompt - Snow. Inspired by AAA Birthday Game #69 - Winter Birthday

Hello,

Popping in today to share a reminder card for the current Inkspirational Challenge #333 which, in turn, was inspired by AAA Birthday - Game #69 - Winter Birthday.

I played with a new set of rub-ons from Simple Stories: Simple Vintage Fresh Snow. The images are gorgeous! I framed the skates with ovals from Pinkfresh Studio and added a glimmered press plate sentiment from Spellbinders.

You still have another week to share your snow-themed creations in the Inkspirational gallery; looking forward to seeing you there.

Thank you for dropping by!

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #759, where I'm delighted to be your hostess for our popular Anything Goes with Stencils week.

Once again, we're delighted to have Annette Elias joining us as our January Guest Designer.

I brought out an oldie but a goodie from Concord and 9th for this challenge and paired with with a Sizzix hearts-all-over embossing folder. Big Hugs + Lots of Love = a card that makes me smile. Hope it does the same for you.

Please visit our Guest Designer and the Just Us Girls team over on the main blog for some fabulous inspiration. Then, bring out your stencils and play along with us.

Thank you for dropping by!

Inkspirational Challenge #333 - Word Prompt - SNOW - Star Snowman Tag and Felt

Hello,

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #333 where, for the next two week, we invite you to draw
inspiration from our Word Prompt: SNOW. Definitely a shift from the cozy quilts we asked you to create previously! Snow flakes, snowy landscapes, snowy skies, snow people...all kinds of possibilities for your cards/projects.

I'm sharing something a little different this go-round. First, a felt SNOWman...

followed by a paper-version SNOWman. If you look closely at him, he's also sprinkled with a scattering of Lawn Fawn mini snowflakes.  I can tell you: as adorable, soft and plushie as the felt snowman is, the paper one is also sweet - and certainly much faster/easier to make. LOL!

Here are the two SNOWpals!

Please head over to the main blog to see the fabulous creations by my teammates, then play along with us.

We're looking forward to seeing flurries of snow-themed cards/projects in the gallery!

Color Hues Challenge #102 - NAVY and LIME GREEN - You are Special in Every Way (Midnight Blooms - Alex Syberia Designs)

Hello,

Welcome to Colour Hues Challenge #102, where our lovely hostess, Stef, asks us to play with hues of Navy and Lime Green over the next two weeks. Talk about a fun combination!

We're delighted to have Esther joining us as our Guest Designer for this challenge.

My ASD Midnight Blooms collection is finally making its debut, after sitting in my stash for several months. I should have used them much much earlier; they are lovely and suitable for a variety of occasions.  My photo doesn't capture how lime-y the leaves are in real life - but they are, especially since I used an HA Key Lime ink.

Looking forward to seeing how Navy and Lime Green inspire you!

The challenge will be open until January 29th @ 9:00 am EDT.

The winners will be posted an hour before our next challenge and the overall
winner will have the opportunity to be a future Guest Designer.

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #758 - Moodboard Week - Warm Wishes (49 and Market Rub Ons, WF Postage Collage Dies)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #758, where Bobby has selected this frosty, wintry mood board as inspiration this week. Lots of pretty possibilities...

Once again, Annette Elias  joins us as our January Guest Designer.

New play things have joined my stash: rub ons (aka: transfers). I've featured a few of them here, inspired by the berries and pine cones images. I added my selections to postage stamp die cuts, in pale blue, red and deep grey, which we see in both the images and swatch. The sentiment is from Midnight Blooms, by Alex Syberia Designs. Although some may consider using rub-ons as 'cheating' or not in step with being hand-made, I don't. My goal is to make cards I'm proud to share and I tell you, these rub-ons do exactly that!  Plus, exploring different mediums - including transfers - is just plain fun!

Please head over to the main blog to see my wonderful team's creativity.

Looking forward to seeing your mood board inspired creations in the gallery.

AAA Colourful - Colourboard Challenge 11 - Celebrate and Best Wishes (PFS Poinsettia Frame, Here for You Sentiments, TE strips)

Hello,

Popping in to share two cards inspired AAA Colourful: Colourboard #11. That image is positively gorgeous!

Even though the festive season is over, I'm not ready to put away all my Christmas products.

For this challenge, I wanted to see if my Pinkfresh Studio Poinsettia Frame set could be used with non-traditional colours; specifically, the palette featured here. Two panels - and two cards later - I was done.

The inks I used are listed below; hopefully they bear a close resemblance to the colours swatch. I'm not sure why my photos make the leaves looks more green than aqua (because I used aqua inks), but...oh well. Sighhh.... The sentiments are from Here For You (PFS) press plates/dies and Taylored Expressions strips.

Pinkfresh Studio Inks:
Cherry Blossom, Slumber + Blue Jay
Ocean Breeze + Aquamarine
Altenew Inks:
Citrus Burst + Fresh Lemon

NOTE: Thrilled and honoured to be selected as one of the Top Three at AAA Colourful: Colourboard #11. Thank you!

Card 2:

I'll let you decide if my experiment worked. I think they did...maybe...sort of...

Once again, thank you to the AAA Colourful designers for their fabulous challenge and wonderful inspiration.

Thank you, as well, to the two other challenges I've joined:

Inkspirational Challenge #332 - Reminder Post - Designer's Choice - Pretty Quilt

Hello,

Popping in today with a reminder that you still have a week to play over at Inkspirational Challenge #332 - Designer's Choice - Pretty Quilt.

Last week, I shared this 'quilt' using Concord & 9th's Pinwheel Quilt coverplate and dies:

With the leftovers from the four patterned papers, I was able to create two more quilt cards:

I had a blast with this challenge; hope you do, too!
Looking forward to seeing your pretty quilt in the gallery!

Just Us Girls Challenge #757 - WORD Week - Masculine - Hockey Thanks (Photoplay)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #757, where our lovely hostess, Sue, has selected *Masculine* as our Word Week inspiration.
We're delighted to have Annette Elias joining us as our January Guest Designer.

I don't have much by way of masculine products (or the creativity to stylize what I have with a masculine vibe) but, I do have Photoplay's It's A Hockey Life in my stash. My sister-in-law needs thank you cards for my nephew's coaches so I've cobbled together this one to add to her stash.

Looking forward to seeing your masculine-themed cards/projects in the gallery.

Thank you for dropping by!

Inkspirational Challenge #332 - Designer's Choice - Pretty Quilt - LOVE Pinwheels Quilt (Concord and 9th)

Hello,

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #332 - our first "official" challenge of 2025. We have a full slate of new challenges planned; hopefully you, our wonderful players, will be as excited and inspired by them as we are.

For the next two weeks, Julia's Designer's Choice Challenge is: PRETTY QUILT. Who doesn't love to curl up under a cozy quilt, especially when we're enveloped in the chilliness of winter or just need a comforting cuddle? Perhaps you have a special handmade quilt that evokes fond memories of the person who made it for you. We invite you to take the concept of PRETTY QUILT and translate it into a card/project.

One of my 'plans' this year is to shop my stash and, in trying to decide on how to approach this challenge, I re-discovered my Concord & 9th's Quilt Pinwheel cover plate + dies. I selected four styles of patterned papers from a pad in my stash and set about making my pinwheel quilt blocks. Fiddly work, but I'm happy with the results. Of course, I had some 'fabric' left over, so you may see another card (or two) down the road.

Please head over to the main blog to see my amazing team's Pretty Quilts. While you're there, check out Julia's link for card quilt tutorials on Youtube.

Looking forward to seeing you in the gallery!

Just Us Girls Challenge #756 - Use a Die - Anything Goes - Happy 2025 - (Hero Arts, Waffle Flower, ASD)

Hello,

Happy New Year!

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #756, where you'll notice a few changes. Launching today is Use A Die Challenge, which replaces our former Colour Challenge. While this week the theme is anything goes, future Die challenges might be specific.  [It is totally up to the Hostess.]  We hope you like this new challenge, especially given the wide variety of dies many of us have in our stashes. Let's give our dies the starring role on the stage!

A new month also means a new Guest Designer; joining us for January is Annette Elias. Please head to the main blog to see her wonderful card, as well as those from my teammates.

My New Year's card features several dies: Hero Arts Classic Numbers, Waffle Flowers Snowflake Background and a sentiment from Alex Syberia Deisgns' Midnight Blooms. Lots of shimmer and shine on this one!

NOTE: Thrilled and honoured to be selected as a Winner at Time Out. Thank you!

Looking forward to seeing your dies delights in the gallery!
