Reindeer...Inspirational Challenge #96~Photo, Merry Monday #180~Use a Reindeer

Hello,

Is time passing as quickly for you as it is for me? US Thanksgiving literally just a few sleeps away and Christmas following soon behind.  Please tell me I'm not the only one behind in preparations. Please? Perhaps a delicious turkey dinner, with all the trimming, topped off with pumpkin pie would spur me on. Yes, we had our Canadian Thanksgiving back in October, but I could easily be persuaded to celebrate again...Leftovers? Gladly!

Today, my wonderful team - SandieMarina ShaunaPiaNonniKimYvonne - and I, along with our amazing, sweet, crafting-talented, animal-loving guest designer, Asha from  Sunny Summer Crafts, invite you to Inkspirational Challenges #96. We have this lovely photo to spark inspiration..

Reindeer, mittens (aren't they gorgeous...so wooly and scrumptiously white), colours, textures...what catches your eye?

I went with literal for this challenge - minus the rustic - smitten as I am with my favourite reindeer die, who has taken the spotlight on a trio of cards today.

A shimmery red deer and sentiment paired with a shimmery white forest; in real life, this card gleams!

NOTE: Thrilled to be selected for an Honourable Mention at Merry Monday Challenge #180. THANK YOU!

Second and third: red cardstock, silver shimmery reindeer and sentiments and a woodgrain textured circle in the background.  Simple...

Please visit the Inkspirational blog to see the pretty cards created by the team and Asha. You'll be dazzled, and that means you'll sooooo want to join  us in the gallery. I'm looking forward to seeing how you'll translate this photo!

Also sharing at: Merry Monday #180~Use a Reindeer

and CASology #173~Pretty (which happened only because my husband commented: "That first one is really pretty." Brownie points for him!

Wishing you a wonderful Saturday; I know many of you will be busy preparing for your Thanksgiving gatherings. Wish I could help (cleaning would be best, because I'm a klutz around the kitchen); I'm with you in spirit!

Thank you for sharing part of your day with me!
Hugs,

Oh Carole it's a pleasure to stop by your place and see your creations....love...love....love this reindeer die and that first card is just so simply divine...beautiful even and so classy! I adore white on white. I am always behind and this year no exception even thought the presents are bought and mostly wrapped. I always then set myself more to do ......and a stinking cold at the moment is slowing me down even more. Move over Rudolf you have competition. have a good weekend my friend...atishoo!! xx

We can put a couple more chairs up to the table, Carol, if you and Andy want to pop down for Thanksgiving!! Your reindeer inspiration cards are perfection. Lots of color, interest, depth, and easy-to-mail! MWAH, I say!! And doing three cards at a time is brilliant and will keep you on target! Hugs, Darnell

Hi Carol. I am sooooo far behind on visiting my blog friends, but I have been keeping an eye on your wonderful work. I so wish I had more time to craft. These cards are gorgeous. I especially love the first one. It's such a great interpretation of the photo inspiration. I also love the two with the deer and the moon - just beautiful. Sending hugs. S

Love your wonderful interpretations of those reindeer. All beautiful projects. I hope you actually do go ahead and enjoy another Thanksgiving this Thursday. I am looking forward to eating at a restaurant--no cooking, shopping or cleaning for me this year. Thanks so much for playing along at CASology this week.
