Just Us Girls Challenge #813 - Use Dies Week - Luck/Green - Feeling Lucky To Have You (WF, SSD - St. Patrick's Girls Ephemera, SB - Calendar)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #813, where out wonderful hostess, Sue, invites us to use LUCK and/or GREEN for our DIE CUTS challenge.

A new month means a new guest designer; we're delighted to have Milla joining us for March.

My calendar style card features one of the St. Patrick's Girls ephemera from the collection of the same name, paired with a Spellbinders' March calendar and backgrounds cut with a special edition of layered Tonic Studio/Clipper Street scalloped nesting dies.

Green die cuts include the plaid backgrounds and the shiny green background on the Waffle Flower postage sentiment. Luck appears on the sentiment, which is also die cut.

And, because we don't want to leave out the guys, here's another play with the calendar/leprechaun pairing:

Please head to the main blog to see fabulous examples of Luck/Green featured as DIE CUTS.

Remember: to be considered for the Winner of the Week or a Spotlight feature, you must use luck/green as DIE CUTS.

Looking forward to seeing your creativity in the gallery.

Thank you for dropping by!

Color Hues Challenge #128 - Green and Gold - Let's Celebrate Green Rose (SSD - Gatsby Ephemera XL)

Hello,

Welcome to Colour Hues Challenge #128 where Karen invites us to play with hues of Gold and Green for the next two weeks. Perfect combination for March (already!), especially with St. Patrick's Day right around the corner. Of course, this pairing works well for a variety of images/occasions as you'll see from the inspiration cards created by my talented teammates and our guest designers.

Speaking of guest designers, we're pleased to have two joining us:
 Darnell and Donna. Welcome!

I have two cards, both featuring images from the GATSBY collection from - yes - Simply Stated Design. I love when ephemera plays perfectly with a colour combination! Sentiments are from Spellbinders and Pinkfresh Studio.

The bold rose: gorgeous!

The stately Rolls Royce: an eye-catching classic!

Please head over to the main blog to see outstanding inspiration from our guest designers and my team.
Then, join us with your Gold and Green works of art.

The challenge will be open until March 29th @ 9:00am (EST).

The winners will be posted an hour before our next challenge and the overall
winner will have the opportunity to be a future Guest Designer.

Thank you for dropping by!

AAA Cards Challenge #309 - 1 Plus 1 - Spring Lamb Happy Easter (SB Spring Blessings Rub-ons)

Hello,

Welcome to AAA Cards Challenge #309 where we have a 1 + 1 Spring theme to inspire you for the next two weeks.  The concept is simple: your card should feature Spring, from the center, then ONE of the choices from the following: Lambs, Cleaning, Flowers, Colours.

I really wanted to create a Spring Cleaning card but alas, nothing in my collection jumped out at me (must remedy that). Instead, I opted for an image from my new Spellbinders Spring Blessings rub-ons: the adorable lamb. I want to give him some cuddles!

Please head over to the main blog to see fabulous 1 + 1 inspiration from my talented team.

A reminder that we're looking for Clean and Simple designs; you can find the description of what that means here

Thank you for dropping by!

AAA Birthday Challenge #83 - Use Die Cuts - Celebrate in Your Own Style (Sculpted Scripted Floral - SB)

Hello,

Welcome to AAA Birthday Challenge #83. This month's theme: use die cuts. Easy peasy, because we all have - and love - dies! Once again, let's celebrate birthdays in style! 🎉

We're delighted to have Caroline (KISS) joining us as our Guest Designer.

In a random act of 'sale' shopping at the end of December, I purchased a variety of papers, ephemera, stamps and yes, dies from the Spellbinders Beautifully Imperfect collection. The Sculped Scripted Floral stamps/dies, along with a sheet of patterned paper, are making their debut here. The stamps bring a scripted element to the petals, which is rather cool. A few stamped ink splatters finish up the card.

Please head to the main blog to see fabulous inspiration from my talented team.
Then, join us with your die-cut birthday-themed card.
Looking forward to seeing you in the gallery.

Just Us Girls Challenge #812 - STENCIL Week - Wishing You the Best Day Blooms (Better Press Society - Nov. 2025)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #812, featuring our ever-popular Stencil Week theme.

Joining us once again is Denise Morgans, our February Guest Designer. Thank you so much for sharing your abundant creativity with us this month.

Time to start using those Better Press Society plates I've been collecting over the past several months. Making its debut is the November 2025 plate. The plates don't always have a name/title attached to them so we'll just call this 'bloom burst'. In addition to the plate and stencil are two edge dies so the focal image can be cut and popped up on a card panel, as I've done here. A Concord & 9th triangle cover plate adds texture. I'm rather smitten with this plate; definitely more dates planned with it.

Please head over to the main blog to see fabulous inspiration from Denise and my teammates.
Looking forward to your stencil sensations in the gallery.

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #811 - Mood Board Week - Happy Birthday Coffee (SSD)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #811, where our wonderful Lisa has selected this lovely pretty-in-pink, coffee and floral themed photo as inspiration this week.

Once again, we're delighted to have Denise Morgan joining us as our February Guest Designer.

If coffee (or something closely representing coffee) is presented as inspiration in any way, you can bet that I'll be reaching for my coffee collection from Simply Stated Design, as I've done here. Now, you may be wondering how my interpretation connects to the image, so let me explain.

My card and photo connection:

One focal image - coffee/hot beverage with whipped topping, served on a saucer, with surrounding 'nibbles'
One predominant colour - pink in the image; 'coffee' in my version
Subdued, slightly blurred background - shelf/window on the photo; my 'soft hearts' and coffee splatters backgrounds.
Flowers
Warm, cozy vibe

So, while my card may not feature 'pink', I think it hits the notes of being inspired by and connected to by the photo. I hope you agree.

Please head to the main blog to see fabulous inspiration from Denise and the rest of my talented team.

Looking forward to seeing your interpretations in the gallery.
