Just Us Girls Challenge #574~Word Week: Animals...Sleepy Bunny How Many Sleeps Until I See You Again

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #574, where our lovely Ina has selected Animals as this week's prompt.  I predict a gallery bursting with a whole lot of critter cuteness!

Joining us as our March Guest Designer is Shawna Standish from The Grand Stampede Her animal card is marvelous, as are those by my teammates. If you have time to visit and share comments, that would be wonderfully appreciated.

I'm sharing two cards using another of my Christmas sale purchases from Stamping Bella: Sleepy Bunny.  So cute! I can see this bunny fitting well on a baby card, too (and perhaps I've already done that *grin*).

That's it from me; looking forward to seeing your Animal-themed creations in the gallery.

Thank you for dropping by!

HLS March 2021 Christmas Challenge~Anything Goes (optional: Angels)...Peace on Earth Deer and Wreath Mini Slimline

Hello,

Welcome to Happy Little Stampers March 2021 Christmas Challenge, where Anything Goes is always the theme with an optional twist which, this month, is Angels.

I went with a stately deer and partial wreath for my simple Peace on Earth card.  Oh...and that 'spot' that looks like a fingerprint on my deer isn't; its just the way the paper caught the light. True story! I had my husband confirm and nope, no print on the real card. Whew!

That's it from me; please head over to the blog to see my talented teammates' festive delights.
Looking forward to seeing your Christmas makes in the gallery!

Thank you for dropping by!

Seize the Birthday Challenge #209~Three Shades of Green...Stitched Turnabout Have an Awesome Birthday

Hello,

I'm delighted to once again join the Seize the Birthday team with my third Surprise Party Guest appearance over at the Seize the Birthday Challenge

With St, Patrick's Day rapidly approaching, the topping is 3 Shades of Green and yep...I went for it!

Because Concord & 9th turnabouts are rather *ahem* plentiful in my stash, they're often a 'go to' when a challenge calls for colour combinations. Here, I used not three, but four, shades of green ink, also from C & 9th, with the Stitched Turnabout: Sprout, Parsley, Clover and Sea Glass. Four turns, one die cut heart, one sentiment (Studio Katia)...done! The most time consuming part was aligning the stamp onto the template for the jig - and even that didn't take long. In fact, by starting with the lightest ink first, I also didn't need to clean my stamp between applications. So simple!

Thank you, Nancy and the rest of the team, for inviting me to play cards with you in March.  To my visitors: thank you for dropping by. I hope you'll join us in the gallery, with or without the topping.

Thank you for dropping by!

YNS Challenge #158~Sentiment Spotlight...Little Note with Bear Hugs

Hello,

I don't have any big, in terms of size, YNS sentiment stamps/dies, so I opted to use a mini one with a mega message. Pretty sure that a bunch of us would like to be told 'you're awesome' - and if you happen to be reading my post, consider this note to be meant for you!

Little Notes for the notebook, background paper and sentiment. I added the huggy bear and Free Hugs, from Cool Tees, because they're just super adorable!  Oh, and I used a postage stamp die as well....it goes along with 'sending' (at least it does in my thinking *grin*).

UPDATE: Thrilled to selected as the winner at Your Next Stamp. Thank you!

HLS March 2021 CAS Challenge~Three of a Kind...Dogs Selfie

Hello,

Welcome to Happy Little Stampers March 2021 CAS Challenge, where we're inviting you to use *Three of a Kind* on your CAS creations.

My three of a kind is pretty obvious! How cute are these dogs, smiling for their selfie?  I took a 'bit' of liberty with the CAS 'rule' of having lots of open, no-patterned white space with my blue, embossed background. White background, no dimension was just too *meh* for my liking, so...a wee stretch that makes me happy and still keeps the focus on the pups.

That's it from me; please head over to the blog to see how my talented teammates - Kylie, Lindsey, Anita, Charlotte (Lady Joyful), Ma-Mi,Bozena, Lynda (loopyloo), Julie and Ceal - interpreted this month's theme. A reminder that we're looking for CAS designs.

See you in the gallery!

Thank you for dropping by!

Color Hues Challenge #13~Blue and Yellow...Monster Truck You Crushed It

Hello,

Welcome to Color Hues Challenge #13 (already!), where our lovely Cindy invites us to use hues of  yellow and blue as our inspiration for the next two weeks. Such a pretty pairing, especially as we look forward to the arrival of Spring...which in  Alberta usually happens in bits and pieces from now until June *grin*.

As is typical for me, I wasn't sure what to do with this combination. Even though it speaks 'floral' in some ways, you've likely figured out that flowers aren't something I gravitate towards very often. Still, I was giving blooms consideration until...

In rummaging through one of my stash bins, I found an already coloured Monster Truck (from Your Next Stamp's Got Mud set). Talk about a happy discovery and given how obvious it was, displayed in the front of the package, I had to give it a play. Here's the result...

These trucks are just so dang cute; this one is perfect as a little 'pick-me-up' encouragement card. Clouds = MFT stencil; the sun = YNS.

Please visit the rest of the team; they've created quite the array of dazzling delights with Yellow and Blue:

The challenge is open until 9:00 AM (EST) on Mar. 14th.
The winners will be posted an hour before our next challenge goes live on Mar. 16h.
The overall winner will have the opportunity to be a
future Guest Designer!

Thank you for dropping by!

STAMPlorations March 2021 CAS Challenge~Anything Goes (optional: Dark Green + Mint Green)...Oh Shift!

Hello,

After a month's break to recharge our creative batteries, the STAMplorations challenges are BACK!  And it's March! Oh my stars!

Welcome to the March 2021 CAS Challenge, where you have the choice of the 'always' Anything Goes or using the colour twist: Dark Green + Mint Green (because we are very close to St. Patrick's Day...and Spring!).

My clean and simple card features the retro typewriter and sentiment from Hello You, placed atop a green plaid paper I found in my stash, then added to a panel that I ran through with the Circles All Over Texture Coverplate. Those dotted circles add pizzazz to an otherwise basic panel, without being distracting or too busy.  The Oh Shift is just too funny!

That's it from me; time for you to play along.
  • You can find Challenge details here. PLEASE READ as they've been updated.
  • If you decide to purchase some of the products I - or other designers have used - head over to the STAMPlorations Online Store (always great deals to be had!)
  • To receive an additional 20% off your purchases, I invite you to use my discount code: STAMPGIRLCAROL.
I'll be back on Mar. 15th with a reminder post.

Thank you for dropping by!
