Valentine Circles...MUSE #103, Butterfly Challenge~Butterflies + V is for Valentine

Hello!

Sunday afternoon already; is everyone else's weekend seeming to pass in a nano-second?  I'm not sure what I accomplished 'of significance' over these past few days, but...something will come to mind. Let's see: I had great intentions of tackling chores on Friday, and I did...sort of.  I was in the midst of vacuuming, which I don't mind too much (I'll take that over ironing any day!), when the poor thing began to wheeze, groan, sputter and then...it fizzled out completely.  Of course, no vacuum meant no more cleaning, so I happily headed over to my crafting zone to play.

Saturday, my husband needed to work in the city for a couple hours, so I tagged along for an outing. I drifted over to Micheal's for a bit, where nothing, aside from Recollections #110 cardstock, caught my eye (score with the 40% off and 30% off coupons combined!). Afterwards, we headed to Costco...crazy decision on a Saturday afternoon, but we were running out of necessities, the foremost being a big bag of chocolate chips!  Whatever it takes to keep my husband happy!  We also came home with a new vacuum, which is currently sitting in its box next to me.  And there it shall stay, until the 'urge' to clean comes upon me. Perhaps I'll schedule that 'urge' for Thursday.  At the earliest *grin*

Anyway, I'm here to share a couple, or three, cards sparked by the oh-so-pretty and vibrant MUSE #103 inspiration fashioned by our dazzlingly talented Vicki:

I haven't made shaped cards for a while, so while the dies were out, I went with two...

The first looks rather busy in the photo, but less so in real life as the the popped up circle, heart and sentiment 'separate' the patterned from the solid papers.

The second is less cluttered (sort of). I didn't 'mean' to line up the script of the card with the script on the butterfly...just happened.  I'm sharing this over at wonderful Mrs. A's Butterfly Challenge #23~Butterflies + V is for Valentine.

NOTE:  Honoured and delighted to be selected a Top Favourite at MUSE! Thank you so much!!

My third card is 'just because'..just because I haven't used my Love collage background stamp in ages. I stamped it in SU red ink on red cardstock (I'm on my last snippets of red paper! Who does that: run out of red card stock near Valentine's Day! Yeesh!), added a glitter (hard to see) paper die cut heart, and wrapped it up with my sweet Valentine word die...

Off to bake some chocolate chip cookies...they are not staying in the bag in the same way the vacuum is staying in the box!

Thanks so much for dropping by; your visit and comments add sparkle to my day!
Hugs...

Carole these are fantastic! I love how you've used the Muse as a jumping off point and then kept going! I'd keep the vacuum in the box, if I were you! lol! (and I hear you on the chocolate chips - my son eats them with yogourt (500 ml tubs at a time), so we go through them FAST! So glad you joined us at Muse this week!

So sorry to hear you lost your Dad. Mum died last June so know how you are feeling.
Your circle card is delightful, gorgeous and fantastic all rolled into one. Your unintentional placing of the wording on the Butterfly with the wording on the card is sublime. The Butterfly now looks like it has been superimposed onto the background. (I should patent that idea if I were you Lol). Thankyou so much for fluttering by my challenge. It is always nice to have you visit. hugs Mrs A..

Dang it! I see Susanne beat me to using "LOVEly" cards! So, I'm hooped now that she beat me to this opening line!

Three oh-so-pretty cards! Lovin' all the pink and a bit of glam! Nice 'ooops' lining up the script on the butterfly with the background. Great cards pal.

Okay, Now I'm off to my fridge to dig out the chocolate chips!!!

Beautiful cards! Great matching up of the script on the butterfly one (even if it was unintentional!).

C - what a fun, delightful blogger you are!! I love the things you say and the way my face remains in grin state the whole time I am here!! These cards are wonderful and so sweet. Each one has something that lends itself to being placed in the Fantastic cards by C folder of my mind!!! You really gave your awesome dies quite a workout - I am sure the vacuum is jealous and sad not to be getting any attention!! ;) Anyways - the best week ever is what I wish for you!!! Enjoy!!

A trio of beauties! I really love the first card and can see the fabulous dimension. The butterfly on the second card is lovely and elegant especially when paired with that script. And the glitter on the last card is the perfect touch!
I don't think you should rush to put that vacuum to use. Perhaps just take it out of the box for now and let it get used to it's new surroundings… ;)

Love the valentines, Carol. I wish my vacuum cleaner would die. I hate it but can't complain too much because my husband does all the vacuuming. ;)

You did a fabulous job on your shaped cards. They are so very pretty! Bummer (not really) about the vacuum. We have been there, done that recently as well. I'm sure your cookies are fabulous. I had grand intentions of getting some cards made myself, but alas, was not to be as the weekend turned out busier than I expected. I am curious as to how you can use two coupons on one item at Michaels...mine doesn't let me. Lucky you on the score! :) Have a great day!

Fabulous cards!! I love the circle cards, great stamping and layering!! The background on the rectangle card is fab!! Also i love the 110 lbs paper at Micheals, i use it pretty much for every card, it makes a great card base, cuts great and even works well with copics!!

Love your cards. Would love to know who makes that Valentine word die, but I didn't see a supply list in your post. I was wishing I had a die like that when I was making my Valentine cards this year, but I have never seen one until seeing your cards today. I read a lot of blogs and also try to keep up with as many die companies as I can, but there have gotten to be so many it's impossible to see them all.

Thanks in advance for any info you can givre!! (suzyquesq2@gmail.com)
