Happy Birthday, Princess...Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #349~Princess, The Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring Challenge, Seize the Birthday~Anything Goes

Hello!

Hands up if you have a special *Princess* in your life...and I imagine that most of you do (my niece, Ms. T is mine...and oh, what a princess she is!).  Now that I've planted that seed, how about joining my fabulous team-mates and me, for this week's Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #349~Princess.

Pink swirly icing, chocolate cupcakes and TIARAS!!  Those alone would send my niece over the moon...and upon her return, she'd dive right into those scrumptious delights. I'd be doing the same, right beside her...

This week, we're sponsored by AliciaBel, who generously provided the team with digital images AND is offering 3 digis to this week's winner.

Today, I'm sharing Birthday's Princess, who I've coloured with Prismacolour pencils. My girly-girl Princess Niece loves purple...and rainbows (her favourite colour), so I did my best to personalize this 'as her". She has a birthday coming up VERY soon and I'm hoping to deliver it in person next weekend (a couple day's late, but she won't  mind).  Because our trip will be short, her gift will be a 'shopping date' coupon for the next time I visit over Spring Break. Perhaps a new outfit, maybe a rainbow tiara *grin*, a book...and we'll see what else catches her eye...

Please head over to the Cupcake site to see more princesses on parade; guaranteed you'll be impressed. Looking forward to seeing your 'royalty inspired' creations in the gallery!

My on my ownsome weekend is going along alright-ish.  I've done some cleaning, some laundry, some crafting (not enough yet!), some editing of papers (a 19-page thesis proposal is a *must do*) and...have more of the same on tap for tomorrow.  Missing out on home-made pizza night...maybe we'll shift it to Monday, which means making dough is also added to my keep-myself-busy agenda...

So delighted you spent some time with me today; your visit brings me joy!

Hello,

Hope you're having a fabulous Saturday, with some time set aside to craft, craft and craft! Need a challenge to spark your mojo? If so, do we have one for you!

Welcome to our Inkspirational Challenge #103, where Pia has chosen Geometric as the theme for the next two weeks...

Joining us, with amazing inspiration for this challenge is our fabulous Guest Designer, Justine, whose card-making skills are extraordinary. Not only that, but she creates outstanding videos AND even offers free how-to series on a range of techniques. She was my muse for my recent stencil creations.  You will be most impressed with  her Geometric gem, just as you will be by those of my amazing team:
                                                                            Marina

You Are Beautiful and Amazing.. Just Us Girls #331, Pinterest Inspired February Challenge, STAMPlorations Anything Goes, Simon Says Wednesday Challenge~Anything Goes

Hello again,

Getting straight to the cards this time...

On stage first, inspired by Just Us Girls #331,

is this Flight of Fancy butterfly from CB...

Next on the runway, with colour ideas drawn from Pinterest Inspired February Challenge (had to play ,because my sweet friend Leigh is now on the DT! Yayyyy!)
is this...

Yes...I'm a goofball, but...I did my best to sponge the seahorse with several shades of blue along with a bit of green, brought the yellow in with my three wee gems (dang shadows!), created a lightly stenciled 'bubbly ocean' for him to swim through and finished him all up with a sparkly coat of Wink of Stella.  Hope my 'connections' are kinda-sorta evident.  Seahorses are very cool!

My background stencil and sentiment are from STAMPlorations, so I'm heading to their Anything Goes challenge,

as well as Simon Says Wednesday Challenge~Anything Goes

Okay, enough of me! Time to make supper for my husband, who will be heading east (Manitoba) early tomorrow morning.  Another on my own-some weekend...CRAFTING TIME (oops...didn't mean to say that so loudly *grin*)

Thank you for spending time with me today; your visit brings me joy!

Coral, Chartreuse & Aqua Striped Birthday...CAS(E) this Sketch #160, Winnie & Walter Belated 2nd Birthday Bash~Colour Challenge with Heather P

Hello,

Wow...after a week off work, getting back in the groove is proving challenging. I think Mr. Mojo stayed back in my mother-in-law's city...in the garage where we had the car repaired!  We're aiming to head that direction for Easter, but oh my...that's still a stretch away. Hope he returns much sooner than that!

I have a trio of cards to share - one here and two in a second post - all of which I made when my husband was away last weekend (a repeat performance happening this weekend...beginning tomorrow...).  My first card was inspired by Hannelie' and Donna's stripey sensations over at
CAS(E) this Sketch #160

I haven't used my 'water-colour' stripes stamps (because we know I'm pa-thet-ic at watercolour, which I will prove with a recent creation...if I'm brave enough to post it)  for a while, so out they came.

Images and layout decided, I went in search of a colour combination, and found it in one of the TEN amazing challenges over at Winnie & Walter's place.

My choice:  Winnie & Walter Belated 2nd Birthday Bash~Colour Challenge with Heather P, where she's asked us to use coral, chartreuse/lime and aqua. So I did...along with a W&W cutaway, sentiment and, as always, my much loved large rectangle from Essentials: Katharine Cutaways.

Simple...once it was done *grin*

Thank you for spending time with me today; your visit brings me joy!

Butterfly Thanks...Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #348

Hello, my friends...

How quickly this week has zipped by, what with travel west to see my husband's family...*no choice must fix* car issues that started during our drive...bought a colouring book (yayy!)...extended stay with my welcoming mom-in-law...car fixed and return home...crafted like crazy (with not a whole lot to show for it, though)...two mornings lending a hand at my husband's office to help him out...on my ownsome this weekend, which is the beginning of a stretch of several solo weekends to come...and back to work Monday. I 'think' I had a bit of a break in there somewhere *grin*  Fortunately, Spring Break is but a bend down the road...

Anyway, I'm here, with my fabulous teammates to welcome you to Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #348, where we invite you to create with this lovely grass-white-sky palette.  Once again, we have these tasty treats to tempt you...polka-dot cupcake wrappers, pretty tinted flowers, luscious frosting...Bet you're craving a cupcake right now!

Jennifer, the talented designer and owner of Newton's Nook Designs, is our generous sponsor for this week's challenge. Someone will be purring happily when they win a $20 Gift Certificate! In addition to the sponsorship, she and two of her design team are also joining us for the challenge. A hearty welcome to JenLarissa and Samantha!!

Today, I'm serving you a stenciled background (what a surprise...another stencil), with a sky + green coloured butterfly (another surprise...HA!), and a sentiment from Newton's Nook Simply Sentimental.

Want to see more inspiration, guaranteed to dazzle and delight?  Please, head over to the Cupcake Inspirations site, where a fabulous array of grass + white + sky combinations await.  Then, the spotlight's on you: create a project and join us!

See you in the gallery!

You're Awesome....Tag, You're It Challenge #41

                              Tag You're It! Challenge

Hello...and Happy Friday!

Today, my fabulous teammates, Kara Lynne, AnjaDonnaErinJeanneand I, along with our sweet, talented Guest Designer, Barb, welcome you to Tag, You're It Challenge #41, where Kara has created an absolutely darling fox-and-hedgehog tag to dazzle, delight and inspire us! Not only is her tag a charm, but you should see what the gals have designed in crafting their interpretations.  We are talking a whole lot of  critter sweetness about to unfold...

My tag...well, I don't have the knack for no-line colouring (something to work on...my gosh, but my 'must try' list is long...) but I do have pencil crayons and a couple of cute Amigos who've been patiently waiting a chance to play...

Hmmm...should maybe have sponged some colour around my little dudes, now that I'm looking at them here.  Anyway...I've created for you a tag card sporting a tag, which reflects the animals, "delivering a note," and patterned background paper elements from Kara's creation.  I didn't  have a wee flower, so the hedgehog's little daisy is re-mixed as my raccoon's little heart.

YOUR TURN!  What features of Kara's tag catches your imagination and creativity?  Woodland animals? Colours? Layout? Message?  Plenty of possibilities...and I'm so looking forward to what you'll be sharing in the gallery!

See you there!

Thank you for spending time with me; your visit adds joy to my day!

Stenciled Thanks...ATSM #181~Anything Goes, Justine Hovey.com~Stenciling for Cardmakers Series

Hello!

Hope you're having a fabulous day! We're still on our 'visiting my husband's family' trip, as during our drive up on Friday,we encountered some car issues that are of the 'no choice, leave it here until repaired' variety.  Sighhh...Good thing I have the week off; good thing my mother-in-law doesn't mind our 'extended' stay!

Today, my fabulous team-mates and I invite you to join us in Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #181

If you've seen my previous post, you'll know that I'm 'smitten with stencils' and....well, I'm carrying it on here with two cards that were, again, inspired by the fabulous cards and videos by Justine at Justine Hovey.com.

My first card featured a tone-on-tone technique (for some reason I have PTI Berry Sorbet paper and ink...which was a marvelous discovery. The ink, I think, was a gift from a sweet someone at some point...).  I brought out my NBUS Memory Box Garden Fronds and W&W Thanks cutaway to create this simple card. After seeing how pretty these fronds are, I have down-the-road ideas for jazzing and snazzing them up.

My second card features STAMPlorations Old Rose stencil, paired with a W&W cutaway.  I used a tea coloured distress ink, just for something a little different...

This week, we're sponsored by Happy Little Stampers, who will be giving one lucky winner a $15 Gift Certificate. In my world, that's incentive plus to play along...and I hope it has the same influence on you!

Your turn! Bring your dazzling, delightful Anything Goes cards to the gallery...see you there!
