Heart and Valentine...Just Us Girls #278~Sentiment Shine, TPE #284~Photo Inspiration, Simply Create Too #78~Valentines/Hearts, Dazzling Diva Challenge #61

Hello, wonderful friends,

After posting these two cards, I'm putting myself in the corner for being sooooo slow in commenting on all the dazzling delights that appear in my Feedly.  I've oohed and aahed, gazed and admired, giggled and swooned...indeed, I've seen every. single. one! But letting my fingers do the talking to let you know...gahhh!  Once I've taught myself a lesson on the importance of being punctual, visiting is on the agenda! Thank you immensely for continuing to visit me! I'm so blessed...

Today, a card for Just Us Girls #278~Sentiment Challenge

The background of the heart is a water-colour stamp, inked with my massive collection of pink, rose and red Memento inks. Re-discovering it has me smiling...a 'water-colour' look without actually using a brush or...distress inks (we are so on the outs...still!). The heart die is red foil paper...

The gallery's about to close...so I'm off...to the corner *grin*

NOTE: so very honoured and thrilled to be selected as the TPE challenge winner! THANK YOU!

Oh wait...before I go, just a quick story. Earlier this week, a cyclist in our town, on his way home, was chased by a cougar. A COUGAR! He managed to reach his house, and flung his bike at the cougar just as it lunged. Frightening! Yes, we're aware that cougars (bears, coyotes, bunnies...) share our surroundings, but this one...brazen and bold, indeed.  Guess who's husband rode his bike to work today?  And then rode home in the dark on paths where a cougar, with an appetite for cyclists, just 'might' be skulking?  Gahhh...more grey hairs on my head!  He's home safe, but still...Yeesh!  Maybe this someone's husband should stand in the corner, too!

Thanks so much for dropping by; your visit and comments add sparkle to my day!
Hugs...

This is a fabulous card.........stamping a watercolour background sounds sensible and time saving to me! As for the cougar.....are you red riding Hood?...where on earth do you live?.........and yes I think hubby should join you in the corner but be careful what you get up to there!!! Hugs xx

I definitely think someone's husband should stand in the corner!!! How my how scary for you and for the other cyclist!! A cougar?!! We don't have any cougars, and I'm pretty thankful for that. I'm very thankful that the cyclist threw his bike at the cougar and I'm glad that he is ok!! That is a little to close for comfort!!! Then your hubby rides his bike to work?! Yes, I would have had more than a little grey hairs to show for that stunt!! lol Not sure if your hubby is just really brave or just thinks he is invincible. lol Having heart palpitations just ready about this! lol On the note of your card, it is just stunning Carol! I haven't even used that "heart" word die yet but I am so loving how you have used yours! This card is just perfect in every way! Don't worry about being behind, I get there myself more than I care to admit. And after babysitting our youngest granddaughter yesterday, I am even more behind in my commenting and house cleaning. lol It's been a busy week! Hugs, Brenda

Well, after all the heart swooniness of your card, mine just about stopped beating reading your story about what happened! Oh my goodness. And while I agree that hubby doing the same thing the next day would have taken out some of the color I have on my head covering the white, between you and me, MY hubby would have done the same dang thing! Men! Humphf. But your card is beautiful, so I will focus on that and not the other. Love the sparkly heart across the open heart. Wonderful work. Personally, I don't think anyone should put Carol in the corner! Hee, hee, sorry couldn't resist. Have a lovely weekend!

Just another of your gorgeous creations! I am definitely uuhing and ahhing over this one. As for your comments - yours are always the best - just love to see them on my blog :))))), but its hard to keep up with them, I know how that is, having a problem myself here - I wish I could comment on all those beauties out there....
As for the Cougar - would love to see one in real life - such gorgeous animals - we don't have them in NJ. Just deer that eats everything.....

Your card has my heart smiling too, Carol ... red foil die cut over that wonderful watercolour heart ... just lovely! The cougar, however, doesn't ... hoping Andy's bike is of the 007 ilk! Hugs, Anita :)

The foil die cut over the watercolor background makes for a super valentine, Carol. Roaming cougars? Scary to say the least.

Ok that's scary about the cougar!!! He must have been real hungry!! LOL Seriously glad the cyclist is ok!! Now for your card, stunning!! I love the watercolor strip background and the metallic heart word is awesome!! Fab card!!!

This card is stunning! Love it! Sorry I haven't stopped by in a while to comment on your beautiful creations, unfortunately our family has been in a similar situation to yours, so with work as well, blogging has taken a back seat...which is not acceptable!!!

I hope that you're all doing well, sending you much love :)

That is scary about the Cougar!!!! Luckily in England we may get the occasional fox, but that's as exotic as it gets here! So long as cyclists manage to avoid lorries and other rogue motorists, the they're ok! :)

Holy cow a COUGAR, so scary and so smart of the man to toss his bike at him or his might have been someone`s dinner. I know this time of the year wildlife is finding it harder to find food sources. Your hubby should be in the corner Carol! Back to your card, so pretty and love that word die! Just gorgeous!

Oh, this is so sweet!
And your cougar story scares me! We had a few cougars brought into the area around our town to help keep down the deer population and the thought of running into one terrifies me! I wonder if this one was sick....
I want to answer your question that you left on my blog... Can you email me at pennercl@mymts.net and then we can discuss it?

OH my gosh!! A cougar!!! That is scary! We have them here in Missouri too, but they call them Mountain lions. Pretty sure it's the same big cat though. I haven't ever run into one on any of my long walks in the woods. Hope I don't! So now on to this lovely card! That background with the brush stroke stamp is gorgeous! The whole card is amazing! ((Hugs))

Boy I am behind over here, aren't I. *slaps my own wrists*. I adore this! It's so sweet and I love the shiny "happy"! And in terms of your husband, you should straighten him out and tell him the only cougar he should be attracting is you! :D
