Love X 2...ATSM #131~Anything Goes, AAA Cards #32~Love, Love, Love, JUGS #279~Love

Hello!

Today, I'm inviting you to join us in creating cards for this week's Addicted to Stamps and More #131~Anything Goes. Easy-peasy, right?  To sweeten the incentive, our Sweet Pea Stamps sponsor is offering 4 digis from the store to our challenged winner.  Added to that, we're ultra fortunate to have Janine Vegterfrom Sweet Pea, as our guest designer! Please be sure to check out her amazing Anything Goes card, as well as the rest of the team's creations. Inspiration, guaranteed!

My cards (yes, two...) were inspired by the electric-colours of the flaming heart inspiration photo over at AAA Cards #32~Love, Love, Love

My water-colour stamp saw some more action (I'm soooo stoked I found it during my clean-and-organize gig...which I didn't finish because said stamp distracted me...) and I wound up with this card as a 'first go'... Unfortunately, as much as I liked the 'faux water-colouring', the card didn't qualify for 'clean and simple.' Pretty-ish, but busy.

Sooo... I inked up another snippet of paper to create a 'water-coloured' side border and had enough to squeeze out a colourful 'love' to fit into the frame. Ta...dahhh!  Far more CAS (indeed, maybe too CAS...hmmm).

Since both cards do have "love" in them, they're off to Just Us Girls #279~Word Week~Love challenge

Hope to see your Anything Goes gems in the ATSM gallery!

Thanks so much for dropping by; your visit and comments add sparkle to my day!
Hugs,

Both cards are gorgeous, but the first one – swoooooon! Love the stamps you used, it really looks like you painted on the front panel with a brush on that first card (yes, that's my favorite). And I'm constantly in awe that your cards look like the ones you can buy in expensive stores. So perfect. *happy sigh*

First off, that sponsor picture is stunning! I thought it was your work as I was scrolling down in Feedly. Wow! I passed up getting some stamps that are similar to what you are using because I'm not blessed with the ability to look at a stamp and think oohhh I can do this and that and the other with this. I have to see it in use and then get it. Dang, now I wish I'd have gotten the stamps. I really, really like what you have done in the first card. It looks wonderful. And how you used the pieces for the second card. So very clever! I really like how it pops against the black and the white. Well done!

Wait. What? There is a watercolor STAMP? and you've been storing/hiding this from me? If these are 'too' anything, c, it would be too much fun... love, love, love indeed...

I love that watercolored stamped background, Carol, and it does send the same vibe as that electric heart. I'm glad you had enough paper to make that second card. Both of them are lovely.

Ooooooooh these are both amazing! I love the first one with the watercolor swashes all over, but yes the second one with just the little side piece showing is just CAS-a-licious!! The mulit colored love in the black frame is fabulous!! I think you should win!! (Hugs)

Hello Carol! I'm so sorry but I've been off the grid for a while. I'm going back off again but wanted to pop over to say that these two are so unique, hip and urban fresh! Thanks for sharing the LOVE with AAA Cards! We love your work.

Anita in France said...

Delicious, Carol ... both of them! Your second with the slim border and gorgeously coloured 'love' popping against the black is particularly yummy ... it's definitely not too CAS ... too CAS would be a blank card (tee hee!) Hugs, Anita :)

Shona Chambers said...

Nothing can ever be too CAS and I always think they are much more involved and complicated than other cards, so I totally love all that white space. And really love how you used the stamp for just the border and word. The effect on your first card is gorgeous, loving that colour combo. I think I would be using that stamp on all my cards for a few weeks!!

Well these are delightful! Wonderful use of colour and negative/positive space :)
