A Glitter Framed Season's Greetings...PS SPARKS: Picture Perfect, CAS(E) this Sketch #43

Halloween Florals in my previous post; glittery PS frames and sentiments in this one.   Evidently, I’m experiencing some version of ‘season affectedness’ (disorder perhaps!!).   As I mentioned in my Halloween card post, a search for themed paper sent me rummaging through my stash, where snippets of Chillingsworth Manor appeared as did some of my Christmas papers.  Goal: to use up some of the old before breaking open the new paper pads that are calling (actually, yelling!) my name.   Gotta heed the call, and, in my usual way, I’ve done so in quirky way.

This week’s Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge is a photo inspiration.

Near the lower edge of the photo, the gold-ish frame caught my eye.  Given that Christmas was already on (in?) my mind, I reached for one of my PS frames, a PS flourish die, my  PS Merry Sentiments, and a trio of papers from a Simple Stories Christmas pad that is absolutely delightful (need to order that pad again…hope it’s still being continued!).   Just an alert:  my colours/patterns are not ‘traditional’ Christmas, but they are pretty with gold snowflakes (if you look really closely at the circles on the maroon paper), some brown, some beige and yes…plenty of gold.  The frame and flourish come from glittery gold paper (last teensy bits fully used!!) and the sentiment, against the brown backdrop is also gold embossed.  Although it didn’t photograph as well as I’d hoped, in real life, it’s rather pretty, or so my mom says, but she thinks  all my cards are pretty!   She’s an amazing mom, especially since she's so sweetly biased!!

A big Thank You to the wonderful ladies at  CAS(E) this Sketch, whose challenge #43, designed by the talented Karolyn Loncon, provided inspiration for the layout.

Are you ready for my glittery framed, gold embossed, tan+brown+marooned Season's Greetings card?  Here it is...and yep, it's different...

Thank you for dropping by; your company and comments are always welcome!!

Off to play with my niece and nephew...I think a pony ride is on the agenda, along with a horse-drawn cart ride.  Fun times!!!

Fun and sophisticated all at the same time - not an easy thing to do! Love the non-traditional - its cool and sassy!! And way more fun than doing plain ol' red and green! I'm loving the gold frame too! Hope you had a ton of playtime fun today with the kids! I suspect that by now they are all tucked in and fast asleep! You know what that means...more playtime for you in the mobile crafting unit!
